Today was not Ellessar's day. It almost seemed as though the world was against him travelling any further. The mossy ground beneath him had fallen through into a muddy, messy pool of water. If only he had stayed where he woke this morning. It was a beautiful little glen he had found: full of food and flowers. Ellessar decided against a day of rest, instead, he continued to trek towards the mountain range. It was miles and miles away, still just a misty mirage in the distance. But he was determined, even if he had to venture through the swampland which was his biggest mistake. The ground seemed firm albeit being a bit squishy. Ellessar could see the sun shining in through the twisted trees, the end almost near. Little did he know, his next step would be on a floating bed of moss. And that's where he stayed, for what seemed like hours. He tried to holler for help, but it seemed no one was around. Only Ellessar's head was visible, the rest of his body was concealed under the water, and covered by the floating moss. "At least the water is warm." Ellessar mumbled to himself, glad that the pool he was in wasn't deeper. He never learned how to swim.
