- In a room with dim light -

"Shhh. She's asleep." A young lady gestured another to close the door and turned to tuck a little girl in. "She had a rough day." The lady, with darker skin tone, said then used her hand to brush aside the long hair fell down onto the girl's face. Revealing a young face closed her eyes tightly, slept with uneasiness. "Did he slap her again?" She gritted her teeth and forgot she should keep her voice low. "Uh-huh." Another lady sighed, hand reached to climb the girl's hair gently.

It wasn't only after the girl's expression softened she turned to talk with the former. "I'm worried. How long we could protect her.......Our little sister's a bit stubborn." She sighed again.

The other scratched her head, "Yup, stubborn as hell. She thinks she's hiding it nicely behind that sweet smile." She leaned close and whispered, "Silly, we're just pretending we dunno." Ended it with a grin, she turned back to another person. "If only we're old enough to get a job," she tsked, "then we could leave this sick family." There was much dislike in her tone.

Another lady didn't reply, she simply looked at their little sister with sympathy. She was smart and sensitive to what others think, that made her develop a nice inpterpersonal network. At least that was what the majority viewed her as. Hence she could read her sister's personality. Not only the child abuse was on her concern, but the way she lived. Lei was stubborn on her devotion, and the fact that she was devoted to them was never a good sign.

Throughout years, their beloved little sister cared less and less about herself and shifted her centre towards them. It was a heavy yet sweetful burden. Still, she couldn't help but think how Lei could live if one day both of them were gone. The young lady made a long sigh, she had been working on it subtly. For instance, she tried to introduce Lei to her friends and encouraged her little sister to develop hobbies. Sadly those were not so effective.

If she said Lei was the Moon for them, it was painfully accurate. Superfically, she was a clingy little sister, she bet another sister thought it that way as well. In fact, they were her everything.

She rubbed the tense muscules between her eyebrows, a whole day of school had tried her out and her body demanded for a rest promptly. She guessed she could ponder over it when she woke up. She took a glance over the little girl towards another lady who already snored loudly in her sleep. Silently judged her awful manner, she switched off the bed lamp and closed her eyes as well.

"Good night Lei, may you have a sweet dream."

She opened her eyes, looked annoyed. Lately, she had been haunted by dreams of the past. Even worse, the Legacies decided it was a great time to give everybody trouble. Untucked herself from the blanket, she answered another one's question. "No big deal, just almost everyone on island reversed to teenagers. It's over."

"Breakfast." The man said, putting a plate with sunny side up and two sausages onto the table. "Where's my pancake?" She left the bed, checked said breakfast and pouted. "Can't eat pancake as breakfast every day." She headed to brush her tooth and washed face, another had an early shift while the man prepared the breakfast was taking off his apron and readied to leave for duty.

Dressed formally, he went to check her eyes and frowned. "I don't sleep well." She explained and pushed his hand off. "I'll get some blueberries." She arched an eyebrow at him, "I think you mix stuff up, time to go." She waved dismissively.

Had enough dwelling in loneliness, she found herself some roommates. Spacious and sufficiently lighted, the room was a much better place to live. Everything was so clear in her dream, yet, she couldn't recall any details. In frustration, she finished her food and threw herself onto the bed again.

The tweet didn't received any reply, which was a good sign. It was perfect that nobody cared of the big difference between the teenager she and today's she. At that time, the only people she'd considered were her sisters and brother. Aloof and indifference, skeptical and watchful were some descriptions best suited the youth. When her father hated her, when the whole world had abandoned her, her sisters rescued her. It might all begin with sympathy, but they had given her endless love til the end. When she caught on, they were already her everything.

Not everyone understand that kind of lifestyle, the pressure and burden knowing one's life solely centred around you. Some people would even casually oppose the idea of "it's the end of the world when one loses someone". For some, that statement was valid.

She thought she was a good actress in the role of a spoiled little sister and tackled her own business quite successfully. However, from time to time, she could catch some sad expressions when her sisters looked at her, even they vanished promptly upon notice.

As for her brother, she maintained a love-hate relationship with him. She never understand why gender could be potent enough to make such a dramatic difference. He didn't need to do anything but father already put all his love on him. Unfairness twisted into bitterness that lured her into bullying and tricking as a result. She couldn't actually loathe him, for he always forgave her, spoiled her and protected her in an unrequited manner. It was hard to strive a balance of whether she should hug or bite him.

Admittedly, her life had ended when her sisters passed away. She already lost everything at the same moment they died. She'd allowed herself slowly withered like a dying flower. Her sister who learned it beforehead forced her to make a promise, they asked her to live on, on behalf of them.

It had become the biggest problem ever in her short life. Who she should live for? Her brother was in a hopeless coma, once he also left, she would lose everyone who loved her as who she was. Thus she sought for someone who could replace the dear position of her sisters in her heart. As a human, she could be moved simply by people's kindness, friendship was inevitable.

She once had high hopes upon some people, but she gradually realized they won't put her at the first place as her sisters did, they disappointed her. She felt distance widened between them and stepped back bit by bit oblioviously. Not only disappointment but hurtful feeling induced when she learned she was less important again. What was she?

Seemed futile, she struggled in her journey to find the impossible someone as it was the only solution she could think of. Foolish as that, she wanted to scoff at herself. She couldn't sharply cut the links she established with those people, sometimes she was jealous but she never say that. She didn't have that qualification to word anything.

"Sisters, why you can be that cruel to me?" She reached out to the ceiling as if she could grab something and let her arm freely fall afterwards. "I hate this."
