There were few things that Osmond enjoyed more than winter. In winter, everything reminded him of home. The mountains that he grew up in seemed to always have snow on them and to see the Kawani lands coated in that same white blanket always filled him with pleasure. He would don his winter coat (literally a hood and cloth attire) and hike about the area, head held high. He romped about, he would kick up snow behind him and nearly bury Ulfred beneath (a game that Ulfred didn't enjoy nearly as much as Osmond did) and roll up large balls of snow to create snow ponies.

This winter season, he had done all that, but had yet to complete his winter fun by doing one last act: creating a snow angeni! Despite their name, they actually were just the results of Osmond throwing himself into a thick patch of snow and rolling around in it, before standing and admiring the result: a large horse shaped imprint in the snow.

He had really been meaning to get around to it, but some how he lost track of time and suddenly the snow around the lands was beginning to melt! New grass was beginning to appear, replacing the blanket of soft white with one of vibrant green. Osmond would have been thrilled had he made a snow angeni already, but upon feeling warmer temperatures arising and the snow fleeing, he found himself very anxious instead. Sooner or later the snow would all be gone and Osmond would have to wait forever until the next Kawani winter!

So, today he was going to hunt about for the snowiest places and try to get in that final act done, so he could welcome spring with an open heart. He began the trek up to the western mountains, passed the hot springs and towards the snow caps that he saw from the western plains. He had sent Ulfred on ahead to look for any snow nearby and he wandered through the trees, trying to find snow that wasn't ice or slush. Oh why, oh why did he wait so long for this silly snow angeni?

"Snow, snow, please still blow." He sang as he went, making it up as he went along. "Don't you know, I love you so?"
