It was finally the night he'd been looking forward to! Amonee had arranged a meeting with the cheerful troll who had lovingly brightened up the outside of Amonee's hive with plenty of paint. It was time to create art some art together again. This time, though, they would be meeting in the Four Fronds to play a game.

The jadeblood had set up clotheslines with white sheets pinned to them spanning the entire length of the meadow, from tree to tree. These would serve as shields or other obstacles to hide behind. The two of them would compete to cover the other troll in as much paint as they could! White jumpsuits had been bought just for this purpose. Afterwards, all of the cloth would serve as beautiful canvases.

Amonee laid out a handful of tools for the two of them to use on a table. Paintbrushes, pails of paint, sticks of charcoal even. He'd filled a few water balloons with paint to use as grenades as well. They were well stocked to smear color and cheer all over this place!

"I hope he shows up soon." Amonee mused to himself, looking at a bright water balloon in his hand with a smile. He had been feeling somewhat mopey lately and an evening with Caiden was sure to boost his spirits. Something about the brownblood was always so positive and Amonee couldn't help but get swept up into his pace!

Sorry this is late, got caught up with other stuff but I finally made it! You can choose to start the battle or I can do it in my next post, I don't mind either way!

Caiden smiled as he skipped his way over to where his friend had set up a paint-date. The brownblood was not entirely sure what was going to happen, but it was something that had both artsy stuff and Amonee; double win! The boy cocked his head as he neared the maze of sheets and other such things, navigating through to Amonee. "AMONEE!!" Caiden yelled, finally finding the jadeblood, "Whoa Amonee what is all this? And whats that for?!" The brownblood asked, pointing at the white jumpsuit the other troll had on. Amonee could pull off anything, and the jumpsuit was cool, but Caiden kinda missed the other troll's dress. "Oh! Good idea!" Caiden said laughing as he realized. They were painting and it would be a tragedy for Amonee's dress to get mussed. A much better idea then the last time they had painted together. Tho Caiden had treasured his improved clothes from that day, even tho CamoDad had refused to let him wear them again, ignoring Caiden's begging to let him wear them every day for the next sweep.

It was impossible to miss Caiden's arrival, the other boy was so loud! Amonee loved it, the brownblood's energy was like an instant happiness pill. Tugging his friend into a hug, he beamed and snuggled him for a moment before stepping back.

"I'm so happy to see you! Oh, this stuff's for a game! Here, I'll help you into this." Plucking up the other jumpsuit, he helped Caiden into it so they could make some real magic. The two of them together would be unstoppable. They would make the prettiest canvases Alternia had ever seen! Caiden's imagination was truly unlimited. And Amonee's enthusiasm soared higher than the morning sun!

"Whoever covers the most area on the other jumpsuit wins this!" He held up a giftcard to the local Busthind craft store. "I got it from a holiday exchange and thought a paint battle would be more fun to stake it on." That and Amonee had spent a lot of time holed up in his hive this winter and wanted desperately to pull himself out of his blue mood by spending time with his friends. He couldn't cheer Nucleo up if he wasn't happy himself!

"That's the gist of it so... think fast!" Amonee giggled, lobbing a paint balloon at Caiden.

Caiden hugged Amonee back, squeezing all his adoration for his friend into the hug. The brownblood threw his jacket off to the side as the jadeblood helped him into the clean, pristine jumpsuit. "Ooh!" Caiden said, squirming around in the white attire. "Thats such a great idea!" Caiden exclaimed as Amonee told him the plan. "I was just thinking this thing was comfy, once it gets all painted on itll really be amaz-" And then a balloon splattered on Caiden's head, sending red paint dripping down his face. The brownblood gasped, surprised, but quickly ducked down, grinning. The game was on. "Gotcha something Amonee!" Caiden yelled, throwing another paint filled weapon somewhere where the other troll might have been.

Amo shrieked from joy and adrenaline, ducking behind a sheet flapping in the wind. He felt the impact from the paint Caiden lobbed at him but thankfully the fabric in the way kept him from getting covered in it! Dabbing his own paintbrush into a pail, the jadeblood did his best to sneak around before jumping out from his hiding place, standing face to face with Caiden.

"Take that!" He laughed, quickly painting a smiling face on the orangeblood's stomach. Somehow, even despite it being a silly joke, it almost seemed like something Caiden would honestly wear...

Caiden took it, right in the face. The attack made him stumble back, and the boy ended up grabbing one of the white sheets by mistake. Through a series of comical events, Caiden ended up getting quite wrapped up in the blanket, essentially turning the humanoid back into a rather large grub. Through the means of "inch-worming" Caiden managed to get up close to Amonee's shoes, and the brownblood attempted to untie the laces.

Where had Caiden gone? Amonee looked around the makeshift arena he had built in confusion. All of the sheets flapping in the wind were making it difficult to find his friend and he started to wonder if maybe it was too difficult of a handicap. Taking a step forward to look elsewhere, the jadeblood let out a shriek and crashed down face first onto a large wiggling Caiden grub.

"C-Caiden? What happened to you?!" He gasped, partially from pain and partially from surprise. "Oh my Gog, am I crushing you?" Amonee felt really embarrassed about his weight at the moment even though he normally didn't think much about it. Scrambling to his feet, he attempted to yank the brownblood up as well which only resulted in a short comedy skit trying to both pull Caiden to his feet and deal with the sheet wrapped around him like a roll of paper towels.

Caiden giggled as he was spun around like a top as Amonee helped him up. "Thanks Amonee!" Caiden shouted with mischief written all over the brownblood's face. Once he was free of the sheet he held his hidden paint balloon in the air. With the balloon right in-between himself and Amonee, the boy squeezed it, splashing both of them with paint. "GOTCHA!" The boy yelled, managing to get a mouthful of paint in the process.

He'd been tricked! Caiden was not as innocent as he appeared. Amonee yelped as the balloon burst and splattered all over his face, specifically his eyes. The jadeblood had been smart enough to get non-toxic paint that wouldn't permanently blind or kill them but it still stung to get in his eyes. Rubbing at his face, he whimpered and tried to blink the stuff out.

"Waugh, where'd you go?" He fumbled around blindly with one hand trying to feel for Caiden and the other one still working on his face. Slowly, his vision returned but he'd lost sight of the cute brownblood! Shoot! Amonee clutched his paint container tight, ready to throw it in case of a terrifying jump scare.

Caiden's smile vanished. Amonee got paint in his eyes and it was Caiden's fault! "Oh no Amonee!!" The boy yelled, still caought in the sheet. He wiggled his way to find some water, slowly managing to unwrap himself from the sheet as he went. "Im gonna get some water! Just, hold still?"

He could hear Caiden somewhere in this maze that he had created but Amonee could not pinpoint where. His eyesight was slowly returning back to normal but the brownblood was nowhere to be found. Why had Amonee thought it a good idea to make a labyrinth made of sheets? It was clearly too dangerous to do this fight.

"Wait where are you? Cai, I'm okay! Please-" He started tugging at the cloth flapping in the breeze, peeking underneath and to the side of them as he went.

He hoped this wasn't stressing his friend out too much. He wasn't sure if Caiden's unusual powers would activate and make this place even crazier to get lost in or not.

"WAIT AMONEE! I GOT THIS!" Caiden yelled as he stood up, finally free of the blanket trap. The boy found a bucket of water and turned to return with it for Amonee. Caiden's sense of balance was obviously still wrapped up in the blanket, as he tripped over some nonexistent thing, sending the bucket of water going right for his friend. A high pitched squeal could be heard coming from the brownblood's mouth, and he already had tears coming to his eyes as he watched the trajectory of the bucket.

He heard Caiden's voice and turned just in time to take a bucket to the face. The water was cold and startling and the pain that followed afterwards was even more sobering. Amonee went down like log off a waterfall.

"Owww- that really smarts..." He reached to pull the bucket off his head and spitefully tossed it in a random direction, not realizing that it was headed straight back towards its original wielder...

Caiden tried to roll out of the way of the bucket, but got caught in some loose sheets. The bucket made a ringing sound in his ears. "A-amonee, do you, need ice?" Caiden managed to mumble as he started seeing stars.
