"What a d**k." Scorpa glared at the retreating staff member's back. The a*****e hadn't offered to help join the search for Flydra's scarf and was even scolding them for their stupid piece of s**t toy that'd messed up Flydra's perfect hair. This was NOT going unpunished.
"Watch this." The yellowblood whispered and quickly grabbed two of the largest potatoes on top of the pile. She then proceeded to pratfall and 'accidentally' lobbed the vegetables straight at the vegetable-for-brains. Soaring through the air with all of the grace and elegance of a flying pig, the brown lumps thudded onto the sales troll's head and he went down like a sack of potatoes. Snickering, Scorpa didn't care if they got chased out of the store soon, they were already on their way towards the check out counter anyway. When other staff members looked over at them, Scorpa gave them the biggest puppydog apologetic pout she could muster.
"Oops!"

"Oh my goodness, this store is so dangerous. Are you okay?" Flydra gasped and cooed at Scorpa after the yellowblood 'fell' to the floor. Pulling her friend back up to her feet, she inspected for any bruises or scratches on the other girl.
"Maybe we should sue? It looks like you tripped on these magazines. How irresponsible of Helega's." Flydra sneered at the onlooking staff trolls who honestly weren't getting paid enough to be here dealing with her at the moment. They sighed and offered Scorpa an ice pack, seeming to forget about the drama from earlier. The tealblood shook her head and bandaged up her friend's knees quickly, mostly to hide the fact that she was completely unharmed and fine. They didn't need to know that it had all been faked.
"I think I left the scarf near the electronics actually. Maybe?" Not that this place really had much technology in it. Gog, it was practically the stone ages in here with nothing but potatoes.

"Kiss it better." Scorpa giggled as Flydra bandaged her up. Even though she wasn't actually injured, the tealblood had to pretend she was in order to keep u their ruse. If she could get a little extra love out of it, Scorpa was damn sure going to do so!
"Erm where is that again?" The yellowblood asked when her nurse finished up and suggested checking the electronics area. She understood that the tealblood was just trying to get them to keep moving so the staff would forget about them again. The sad thing was, they weren't even the worst behaved customers in here. During this time of year, everyone out shopping was a touch insane.
"What's this weird looking doll?" Scorpa blinked and picked it up on their way to the potato-battery section of the store. It had a little latch on it so she opened it to find... another doll? Curious, Scorpa continued to do this through a ridiculous amount of dolls reaching minuscule sizes that seemed impossible. What! The! ********! Starting to get pissed off, the yellowblood was 1 second away from throwing the useless endless doll on the ground and stomping on it.

Scorpa began to throw a tantrum and Flydra felt a little bad. Clearly the stress of being inside the store with mobs of other angry trolls was starting to wear on them both. She tossed a couple more gifts into the cart while her friend vented out some stress before reaching to take Scorpa by the arm and lead her away from the carnage.

"Both." Scorpa mumbled with a sulky pout on her face. Accepting the fruit snacks and gold fish, she ripped open the packaging and started shoveling food into her mouth, chewing aggressively. Crunch crunch crunch...
"Now I'm thirsty. Let's something to drink." She grabbed the tealblood's hand and looked around. There was a vending machine of weird juices but whatever, it was good enough. Scorpa picked out one of the weird flavor combinations and took a sip. Huh. She hadn't expected Banana Spinach to work but it almost was. Almost.

Flydra also got a strange combination of flavors in her drink. She hadn't expected to like carrots and pineapple and she didn't. Making a face as she sipped it, the tealblood wondered how Austri and Lorata were faring on this night of consumer chaos. Lorata was probably buying out an entire shop while Austri air punched people out of the way. It was spectacular to imagine. But she was glad that she'd chosen Scorpa to come shopping with tonight. The yellowblood had a way of keeping her energy high and making Flydra feel excited to go out and mingle. She tossed the rest of her juice after getting halfway through the nasty taste.
"We should see if this place sells any cute nature stuff for the beach." She was not a camping kind of person, at least not in the woods or mountains. Flydra was willing to camp out on the beach by the sea where Lorata lived part time, mostly because she enjoyed the other girl's company but also partially because the sea was calming and beautiful. The water and the air had a relaxing feeling to them that she didn't find elsewhere in Alternia.
So it was time to see. Did this place sell potato-kinis?

7] Gain 2 small presents / Lose 2 hp Here are two shot glasses, to drink root-vegetable based drinks out of. They have miniature tubers painted on them.
"There's a potato beach ball." Scorpa answered, glancing through the novelty items. She almost liked the stupid potato sunglasses. They were dumb in a forgivable way, because they looked so funny! Snickering a bit, she tried them on and kept looking around to see what other beach items the store sold. The umbrella looked honestly disgusting, as did the flip flops. But then... she saw it.
"A potato mini-cooler!" The yellowblood laughed and scrambled over to get a better look. It was stocked with some fake soda cans, shot glasses, and fruits to make the display look more real. Picking up on of the boxes, the girl tested it's weight and started to actually seriously consider getting one. Sure it was strange looking but they could spend an afternoon bedazzling the s**t out of it. Besides, you didn't want to bring a really nice one out to the beach where it would get covered in sand. As much as Scorpa loved visiting Lorata out by the ocean, she had to admit her shoes always had a hard time of it for the next week once she went back home.
"You think I should get it?" She smirked to Flydra, her cute audience member. Scorpa always loved having Flydra around. She was a quiet one at first but when you got her comfortable, she had no qualms sharing her opinions and helping you make the right choices. Flydra was always so smart...

"Ohhh what a cute idea." Flydra nodded, grabbing a couple of potato themed waterbottles to add to the collection as well. They were dorky but also somewhat cute in a way. She figured they might as well go all in on the theme. Lorata had enough money to buy them entire new sets of this stuff next holiday anyways. Scorpa seemed incredibly pleased with the mini-cooler and Flydra vowed that she had to make sure potato vodka happened now. What- the soldier girl would need something awesome to put inside her new cooler!
"Hmm, potato nail art? Seems weird, doesn't it." In the cart it went though, along with a few cuter options like strawberries and argyle. This sleepover needed to be stocked full of any and every activity the girls could possibly think of to ensure it was the best night of their lives.

"Maybe I should buy Austri some potatoes for personal use." Scorpa held two up to her chest and cackled. The greenblood was self-conscious about her lack of chest, though not quite to the degree of her injured arms. The yellowblood wished there was something she could do to help her with them but that was really Flydra's department, not her's. All she could do was keep treating Austri like she was normal . Everything was normal. The last thing Austri needed was her going super soft on her like she pitied her now.
"Oh my gog, they even have a potato whistle!" Scorpa's eyes lit up. If she got her hands on that, there'd be whistling non-stop for the next twenty minutes. It was time to think fast, Flydra!

"Oh look! Potato high heels!" Flydra said loudly, steering Scorpa towards a rather odd looking shoe display. It seemed to be made up of all kinds of heels and vegetables. The carrot ones were somewhat cute but the broccoli heels just looked weird. Still, the novelty of it might distract Scorpa from buying that obnoxious whistle. The sirens really didn't need the yellowblood to become any louder than she already was.
"Well, try some on!" She giggled, starting to get a little loopy from the exhaustion of being in the store so long. Shopping was fun until you ran out of steam and wanted nothing more than to curl up and nap. If only she'd gotten one of those tickle my lusus dolls, they would've made a perfect pillow!

"OH MY GOG I LOVE THEM!" Scorpa all but screamed and ran over to try on all the different heels. She was getting older now and super interested in upgrading her footwear into something cooler, more attention grabbing. Scorpa's mom Pradapalps didn't really care how she dressed as long as she came when she was called. The yellowblood knew she was going to need to get a professional outfit for when doing actual training with the military but she could still enjoy heels in her spare time. They were one of those luxury items that gave you a bit of cool status in the fashion world, Scorpa felt.
"What do you think? Pretty slick, huh?" The girl modeled, doing a catwalk just for fun. She noticed a rack by the shoes and plucked off one of the items. Turning to Flydra, Scorpa looked at her thoughtfully.
"Look at all these socks! Do you like them? Can you wear them at the hospital?" It was hard to shop for the tealblood because she was trying so hard to be professional and practical. Sure she could get her a cute dress or whatever that Flydra could wear during her off time but... Scorpa wanted to get Flydra something she could wear anytime and think about her when she saw it. Socks seemed pretty good for wearing with scrubs and those nursing shoes Flydra had gotten a hold of. The shoes were tragic in Scorpa's opinion but she knew they were comfortable for the medic and, well, that was of utmost importance!

Watching Scorpa strut around on her own personal catwalk was a lot of fun. The yellowblood had a lot of spunk to her that came through when she walked. The scientist clapped for her friend and cheered her own, only stopping out of surprise when Scorpa grabbed a handful of socks for Flydra to look over. She hadn't expected that and a faint flush crossed over her cheeks. People often thought Scorpa was just an a*****e meathead with no heartfelt thoughts inside but Flydra knew that was far from the truth. She pointed at a pair.
"... I like the zigzag ones." Her voice was soft and dreamy as she put them into the cart with a shy smile. Sure, they hadn't found her scarf but in the end, she was getting something much more precious and worthwhile.
Scorpa got a kiss on the side of her head out of Flydra's gratitude. Without her friend, the nights would be so dull.
"We should make our way to the cashiers by now. I think the sales end by a certain time and we don't want to miss the cutoff." Sales were crazy in shops like these and they were even worse this close to the holiday. Flydra steered the cart in the right direction and faintly hummed under her breath the theme to the Z Files as they waited.

She got a kiss! A happy flush settled on Scorpa's face and she pulled Flydra into a tight squeeze of a hug before letting her go. Delighted at all of the happy love and affection she was getting, the yellowblood followed her friend to the cashiers. She was so happy she'd found the doctor back then, and said yes to her donation. Flydra had proven to be an incredible troll worthy of her admiration and respect. She loved how thoughtful she was- always taking care of her like this. Scorpa wasn't sure what she was getting back that had Flydra so willing to indulge her (I mean she had ideas because she was so awesome but wasn't sure which exact one was right, ehehehe), but the lowblood wasn't about to question it. She was more than happy to accept her feelings.
"This was a lot of fun tonight!" She nudged her friend with her elbow playfully as they stood in line. As she did, she noticed how tired her friend looked and frowned.
"Fly, are you okay? If you need to sit down, I got this." Scorpa offered.

"That sounds... nice, actually." The noises were starting to make her head hurt and Flydra nodded in response to Scorpa's concern. Climbing into the cart, she sat inside and allowed the yellowblood complete control over pushing it for the rest of the trip. The doctor was just too tired to continue right now and she shifted to make room for herself and all the junk that was in the cart. She snagged a few more potatoes as they made their way to the cashier and dug through her purse to give some beetles to Scorpa once they got there so that Flydra's share of the purchase would be accounted for. As a higherblood, it was her duty to take on more of the cost. Scorpa made up for this in several other ways. Beetles weren't everything.
A dazzling siren calling out to her to jump in the water and play was all she needed. And tey didn't sell those in stores.

"Be careful with my stuff!" Scorpa scolded the clerks as they attempted to extract all the merchandise from around Flydra in the cart. She ignored the fact that her friend wasn't supposed to be inside and glared at anyone who looked at her funny. Flydra was tired and surely they could all relate, right? And she looked adorable in her cart, a sleepy little nurse cudded up around a mountain of potatoes.
Okay maybe the potatoes were less cute and more weird. But Flydra was still cute.
"Oh, did anyone turn in her scarf?" The yellowblood asked, looking at some of figurines stationed at the side of the register. They'd given the staff plenty of time to find it by now, so they better have!
