"Yeah, it might not be a bad idea to start headin' out," Fellah agreed. Shopping wasn't normally this chaotic, well that was good. Most of his encounters with shopping were selling his produce at a farmers market, and going to the electronics and hardware stores. Now that he thought about it, this was his first time in a mall. He couldn't say he was getting a very good first impression from it.
Trying to make his way to checkout with Nictor, Fellah managed to snag one last item, a little nesting doll. He was sure one of the kids he'd met would enjoy this.
"Wanna try just one more store after here? If we're lucky it won't be too bad, and it it is...well, least we can help each other get back out." He laughed a bit, but looking around at all the carnage, safety kind of was a real concern.

Here are two shot glasses, to drink root-vegetable based drinks out of. They have miniature tubers painted on them.
Nictor could not have agreed more. He just wanted to go home, cuddle up with Bee, and read a good book.
Nictor was never going out this close to Saint Perigee's ever again.
Nictor stuck as close to Fellah, fighting through the crowds towards the counter. Shoving and shouting, Nictor almsot lost Fellah a few times. Somehow, when Nictor was checking out, an extra set of glasses got added to his pile. Nictor didn't even care to question it, he was just ready to get out of Helega's Hell House.
Nictor blinked, looking just a bit frantic at the thought of diving back into the crowds. Another store? Why in the world would the other shops be any better? That traitorous little spark of warmth said to go with Fellah. It wasn't often Nictor was asked to help anyone, given his social habits and his klutzy nature, but dang it, he would try.
"I...ah, o-o-okay. Y-yeah," Nictor assented, steeling himself as they exited the store and were pushed towards the next. He still had some spending money left in his pockets, time to make good use of it. Nictor swallowed nervously. Yep, okay, he could do this.

Luckily the crowds opened up a little bit once they were out of the store, but not too much. Maybe this wasn't the best idea after all. The farm troll tried to steer towards the largest looking shop. He kept looking back to make sure that Nictor wasn't getting lost in the sea of trolls.
Once inside, Fellah instantly regretted this decision...was, was it even worse in here? Fellah had to take a jump back as soon as he walked in the door, trying to dodge a pair of trolls whose squabble just landed them in a heap on the floor, still punching and biting at one another. As the fight pushed Fellah up against a wall, he noticed something hidden under the shopping carts. Was that a home media system? At THAT price? Fellah was completley stunned before finally diving for it.
"This place is crazy, you were right. We shoulda just headed out...but, I found this." He held up the exceedingly expensive technology marked down so that even a redblood could afford it. "We should get the heck out of here if ya can't find anythin'" he said, already mapping the quickest route to the check out from where they were.
It had been one heck of a shopping experience, both terrifying yet fun. He was glad to have met Nictor, he was probably one of the most amicable trolls he'd met to date. Fellah would have to remember to invite him over some time, for a much less stress inducing time.

You spot a huge crate wedged behind a pile of mark-downed hammer pants. Is that ... is that a motorbike?
Yep, yep Nictor knew it this was so much worse. While Fellah was shoved towards one wall by the fight, Nictor was dragged down by it. Someone got a good grip on his pants and pulled when he was trying to step back. For, what, the third time, he was on the floor of the hellish shopping mall with crowds stampeding around him. The shoppers that dragged him down set on him immediately and if rabid troll shoppers don't set your pump biscuit racing, Nictor didn't know what did.
So maybe Nictor ended up freaking out a bit. He'd spent most of his life terrified of other trolls trying to eat him alive, and bigger than them or not, he was still kinda terrified of it. The noise had been closing in on him four hours now, all the bumping and shoving and touching. Maybe Nictor lost it. Just a bit.
Nictor looked just as crazed as the rest of them, but he was far more fearful than vicious. He swung out and rolled over, trying to get his feet under him, smacking the troll that had been clawing at him sill, though another began ripping at his hair. Nictor let out a pained keen, fairly well ripping his hair out to get away, scrambling up and making a mad dash away. Away from those terrible clawing hand, the flashing orange eyes. Away away away-
Oooh, dashing blindly through the swarming crowd, not a good plan. Choppy hair hung loose around Nictor like a mane, his jacket hung half off his shoulder, and he was draped over what seemed to be...a motorbike?
Nictor looked a fair bit wild by the time he got back to Fellah, eye darting and his lip fairly well bleeding with how he was worrying it. But hey, he got a prize, so it was worth it right?
"W-well, I-I got th-this," Nictor offered, a smile straining his lips and hands clutching the bike like a lifeline. Being able to take solace in having a friendly face in this mess helped loosen at least some of the tension in Nictor's shoulders. "Le----ts head t-t-o the ch-check o-out then."

You've found a bag of hair curlers. Hurrah.
Nictor stared at the set of hair curlers that had made its way onto the motorbike seat. How did those get there. Who put them there. Were they trying to tell him something.
You know what, who cares. Who cares. Nictor shelled out for the bike and mysterious hair curlers and the clerk made some kind of comment about how his hair was sure to look amazing and Nictor did not care at this point. He had checked out physically, he had checked out mentally.
Finally, finally, he and Fellah were out into the slightly less crowded halls of the mall and well on their way to leaving. It had been a hell of a trip. Hopefully he'd gotten something he could give to Kolako and maybe a few others he'd met. Oh man, who did he know well enough to give gifts to? Would they even remember him enough to want a gift form him?
Euuugh, no, not now. He was tired and stressed and jumpy. Still, if something made the trip worth it, meeting Fellah was pretty nice to get out of the deal. He was incredibly friendly and Nictor was pretty proud of himself. He hadn't floundered too much and he hadn't gotten paranoid about Fellah once, though that might have been because he was preoccupied with the crowds and any source of calm had been a welcome change.
Either way, that part was nice. The meeting Fellah part. Nictor hoped they could become friends. The rest of the day though? He was ready to wash his hands of it and never repeat it.
