About this Roleplay, first thing you should know is it is a Avatar: Last Airbender & Legend of Korra based roleplay. This roleplay is suppose to be a sort of alternate time line. The reason for this is because I don't care for Korra. I loved the the characters, and the world they built up. However Korra herself, I disliked. I felt she was extremely selfish, childish and arrogant.

So this roleplay will be taking place after Avatar Aang's death. Approximately 15 years after his death. There is a new Avatar, and up until now the Avatar's identity has been kept secret. The Avatar is now to be introduced to the world at large, and to begin training in their non native bending styles.

So essentially this roleplay will take place during the time of Korra. Only instead of her as Avatar, we will have a new Avatar. We also do NOT have to follow the storyline laid out in the show. If he want to that is fine.

I am changing minor things though. (Sokka will be alive!) Some characters from the show will be available as well.

Story:

It has been 15 years since the Great Avatar Aang has passed. The new Avatar's identity has been kept secret for the safety of the Avatar, and also to allow the Avatar a somewhat normal childhood. This time also allowed the Avatar the time to focus and Master on their Native Bending style.

The Avatar up until now has been learning of their duties, and world events in a private setting. They understand they are the Avatar and one day they will be expected to both lead and defend the world.

The Avatar will be introduced to the world in Republic City. There will be a huge festival in honor of the new Avatar. Once the Avatar is announced they will be able to continue their training. They will begin training in the next element, and will be allowed to seek out their own Bending Master to teach them.

Description: (This can be a pic if you prefer) Mahiru is rather small for her age. She stands 5ft tall, slender frame. Golden eyes and glossy back hair that reaches mid back. She is generally good-natured and inquisitive. She is kind, silly and can be rather ditsy at times. Despite how sweet she is, she has an explosive temper. Once she is angered she can become extremely aggressive and vindictive.
Age: 17, though she appears younger. Most people think she is about 13 or 14, mainly given her tiny stature. She is actually very close to turning 18, much to her relief!

Bio: Princess Mahiru is the youngest and only girl out of the Royal family's children. She has 4 older brothers ranging in age from 19-27. Her brothers in order are Akira(27), Hiro(24), Reiiko(22) & Koreishi(19). Her family babies her, and are very overprotective of her. She wants to travel the world and see everything the world has to offer. Unfortunately for her, her Mother wants to keep her sheltered and within the safety of their royal home.

Mahiru is determined to live the life she wants. She is has decided to leave home, see the world, and discover what it is she wants to do with her life. She has run away and is on the run now. Big rewards are being offered for her safe return to the Fire Nation, and her family.
Random: She had a baby pet Dragon who she has named Hiccup. She is a fairly decent Fire Bender though she was forced to train in secret. Her Mother wanted her to be a proper lady, and act as a noble. She did not want her daughter to fight. So as a child Mahiru spied on her brothers and learned from watching them, and then trying it on her own.

Description: A moderately sized man, Butler uses his size to combine speed and power. He has dark green eyes and shaggy hair that he usually ties up. He has a Throat Chakra tattoo on his throat, which he uses to combustion bend. Though he suffered through vigorous training throughout his upbringing, he remains charismatic in order to help him get information on his targets. While he tries to remain level-headed, he often loses his temper if a battle turns against him, resulting in more mistakes.

Bio: Butler grew up in the heart of the Fire Nation, where he was surrounded by Nationalists since birth. When he was old enough to Fire bend, he was sold to an order of assassins by his parents. These assassins trained Butler in combustion and lightning bending. Even though he accepted their training, Butler kept a rebellious streak, resulting in a lot of disciplinary action as he grew.

When he turned 16, he was given more freedom to roam the country, receiving his jobs by messenger falcon. Recently, he was informed that he was to be given freedom to leave the Fire Nation in order to expand his area of operation. To this day, he still remains passionately patriotic, thanks to the company surrounding him during his upbringing.
Random: In order to cover his tattoo, Butler always wears a decorative scarf. The tips of his fingers are usually black from his lightning bending.

Description: Tenkarou

Bio: Tenkarou grew up as the youngest of Five siblings. By the age of 7, he was already a considerably talented waterbender, some even going so far as to call him a master. This caused his siblings to grow envious, rejecting and even bullying the young boy. One day, his oldest brother lead him on what was supposed to be a normal hunting trip. However, he instead left Ten out on his own in the cold, unforgiving wasteland. A few days passed before he was found hunting with a few tiger seals.

About a week after his siblings left him to the wilds, Ten was told he was the next Avatar and would begin his training immediately. However, this revelation only furthered the divide between Ten and his siblings. Now, at the age of 15, Ten is beginning his preparation for his big reveal in Republic City. He has already mastered the arts of Water, and Air bending, but struggles with both Earth and Fire.
Random: Ten doesn't carry any weapons but instead crafts any he needs out of ice.

Princess Mahiru of the Fire Nation/Earth Kingdom/Fire Bender

Princess Mahiru of the Fire Nation sat at a small table alone. Eating some ramen. It was a tiny ramen shop located in a small rural town located in the Earth Kingdom. The young woman had been traveling for several months now. Her hair had grown out a bit and she wore it free now instead of up in a bun like her Mother insisted she wear her hair.

Every so often in bigger cities she would find a flyer with her picture on it with a ridiculous reward posted under her image. It was so much money infact that at times she wondered if she turned herself into her parents if they would just give her the reward money and allow her to live her life as she wanted too.

She knew that was not a possibility though. Her Mother was preparing her for marriage to someone with a high prestigious rank, and exceptional pedigree. Someone who no doubt had served the Royal family and brought them glory.

She looked around and saw no one was looking. She opened her bag and fed a dumpling to her baby Dragon who she had recently named Hiccup. She loved the tiny embers that fell from his mouth when he hiccuped. Her poor baby Dragon sure seemed to have the hiccups often, as her cloak and bag showed. Burn holes were sprinkled throughout her cloak and bag.

Butler Siyu of the Fire Nation/ Earth Kingdom/ Lighting and Combustion Bender

Butler looked out of the window of the rented Satomobile he employed to get into the countryside. Earlier in the week he had arrived from the Fire Nation after being tasked to locate a missing princess. To Butler, it was a trivial job, but a nice break from the increasingly monotonous contracts he had been receiving thus far. Most of them had just been information gathering with the actual assassinations going to more experienced members.

After a tip from one of his informants, the man set out to this remote village, unsure of where to start. The car pulled up to the edge of the town, before the driver let Butler out. "If you need me again, just send a falcon," the cheery old man waved before Butler returned a smile and closed the door.

Unsure of where to begin, the scarfed man entered a small ramen shop. In the doorway, Butler took a minute to ensure his elegant, red velvet scarf was positioned above his throat tattoo before taking a seat at the bar. "One bowl please," he requested with a smile. Looking around, the man saw only a few other people in the shop, however one in particular caught his eye. A woman digging in her bag. Could that be his target?

He caught himself staring before turning back to the counter. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out one of the wanted posters he had taken from the port city where he arrived.

Princess Mahiru of the Fire Nation/Earth Kingdom/Fire Bender

Mahiru giggled as the Dragon's slick flexible forked tongue touched her fingers as it wrapped itself about the dumpling. He slurped the dumpling down whole and burped. Tiny embers showered out of his mouth.
"Your a pig Hiccup!" She scowled the Dragon with a shake of her head.

She ordered some Hibiscus tea, which was her favorite. Even her bathing supplies at home smelled of Hibiscus. It was one of the few luxuries she did splurge on from time to time. A Hibiscus perfume, and oil for her hair.

Once her tea arrived she drank it in peace. She allowed herself to enjoy the tea, and warmth. Soon she would be on her way. Traveling again, and she was not sure if she could afford to stay in another room tonight. This town had very few jobs to offer and she was not sure if the next town would be any better. So she was watching her money carefully.

Finally she rose and left some money on the table to tip the shop keeper and his wife. They had been so kind to her during her stay in the small village They had tried to convince her to stay longer, but this town had very little to offer. She wanted to see Republic City, meet an Air Bender, train with a Master of Fire Bending, see the Avatar in person! She had goals in life. Sure none were life changing or amazing, however they meant something to her.

She lifted her bag onto her back and started for the door. She brushed her hair back from her eyes. She really could use a hair cut. Her bangs were so long, as was her hair.
