Terror. That's what Wander would call it, if she could take a moment to process her emotions. She had been invited to something, Outside, by trolls she didn't know. They were other rebellion kids, so they would be safe enough in theory, but she didn't know how they would react to her. As a person. But people wanted to do things with her. The orangeblood could barely fathom that in and of itself. Did they not know any better? Maybe that was it. But she couldn't know for sure.
At first she wanted to decline, immediately, on reflex. How nerve-wracking, to go Outside with trolls she didn't know, who if they didn't know how she was before would certainly find out, and then she would ruin the entire thing. It would be best to stay home and not do any of that.
But Abby insisted. It would be good to go out, to meet trolls, to give them a chance. Just not talk about the silly magic stuff too much. But how much was 'too much'? Maybe not say anything at all? That might be a good enough plan. If she didn't say anything, they couldn't judge. And...honestly...it was hard to pass up this opportunity. Wander had watched so much on TV, but yearned to go beyond the glass barrier. It could be incredible.
So even with her pumpbiscuit pounding and sweaty palms, she inched closer to where they were supposed to find each other. But Wander still wasn't sure. Was this the place? Maybe it had changed last minute and she wasn't told. There was a redblood up ahead. Was that Ninfia? For sure? Sometimes trolls looked alike, and she didn't want to look like an idiot.
For now, she held back until she got a clear sign that she hadn't screwed up somehow, some way.

Poe had found the flyer a while back, during Bloodfest. A budding business at the time, with shows and betting games for those willing to spend a few beetles. With a little help deciphering it. he and Ninfia had decided it would be a fun night trip for a few cooped up swamp kids to go and play for a while, check out some of the entertainment. And Ninfia was bringing a friend, the newest child in the swamp. He was excited about that, because he needed to connect with the other kids, especially since he helped move them into the swamp, back when they were all little grubs and eggs. Lanata called to him, alerting him that outside of his hive, the two children had gathered. "Oh, thank ewe, Mama!" Shoot, that was a good one, and no one was there to hear him say it. He'd have to find a way to repeat it when they could hear him! And also that hopefully the new girl liked puns as much as Ninfia. Poe would have to figure out what kind of jokes she liked. He walked over to the open window of his makeshift hive (although, he'd been living there a while now, so it was, more like just his normal hive? Poe tried not to think about it too much) and waved to them. "Hey, Ninfia! And Wander, right? You can come inside! I got a bunch of stuff, for if you want to wear a disguise. And also I should make sure you guys know all the Outside Rules, because I'm the oldest and that means I have to be the cool and responsible one now." He nodded decisively. It was a lot of pressure, of course, but he needed to be able to protect them and keep them safe! That's what cool and responsible oldest trolls did, like the teenagers and the adults who were officers in the rebellion. "But we're going to have a lot of fun, okay!"
Gl!tch~ poe cant wait to be sawed in half by his cool magician friend

"Um- U-uh-" Wander froze up a little upon being called by her name. Someone knew her name? Someone she didn't know? This was- this was something else. She hadn't considered that her name would be tossed around.
Abby sniggered and rolled across her shoulders. Your reputation preceeds you already, eh, kid?
She gulped, mind all a tizzy. Wander barely heard anything else Poe said. Abby, however, knew enough that standing still wouldn't do much for the kid. The lusus headbutted into Wander's cheek. Get moving, silly!
"Ah- r-right." She took a couple of hesitant steps. But Wander wasn't used to visiting others' homes, at least not yet. While it should be an exciting honor, she was also worried she might make a mess. Or Abby could. Ooooh, jeez, between the two of them, she should just go home.
But she was already here, though. Wouldn't it be insulting to turn and leave when the two trolls could see her there? And they seemed so excited...
She nervously adjusted her bowtie. Abby told her to suck it up and get gooooing. All Wander could do was let her shaky legs take her along to the greenblood's doorstep.
