Guiding Star was having a wonderful day, the sun was shining and she and her twin brother were enjoying it. They’d found their way back to a clearing Guide remembered from a couple years back when they’d last been in the area. Guide wouldn’t claim to have many skills but she did have a knack for direction and remembering places she’s been to before.

“Mmm…” She mused contently. “Stray, I think I’m going to go look for some lunch for us. You stay right here okay?”

She didn’t wait for her brother’s response, which would have probably been a reluctant by resigned “Okay” anyway. Instead, she pulled herself up, stretched a moment before trotting off.

She knew exactly where she wanted to go. There was a large cluster of wild blackberry bushes near by, if was was careful (and lucky), she was sure she could weave her way through the thorny vines and find them a positively delicious lunch meal.

Guiding Star had found her way to her first landmark, a shallow stream that would eventually curl in on it's self further up. As she followed the water up, she noticed some hood marks near the stream's edge. Company? Guide grinned to herself. Oh and by the looks of those tracks, a buck.

“I hope he's handsome.” She said with quiet enthusiasm, heading on her way with a spring in her step.
