Invictus paced himself slowly as he walked along the edges of the valley. He had been wandering aimlessly all day, having escaped yet another attempt from his father to go on some aimless adventure. He had slid easily down the forested path while his father had been distracted and had bolted before his father likely knew he was even missing.
He loved his father, he really did. But Imperio constantly radiated energy and joy and it wore on Invictus who had always preferred(?) staying the the background. This was another time where Invictus had chosen the cowards way out--running away from his father instead of standing to see the look of rejection when he refused (or worse, agreeing and see that look of rejection anyway).
He sighed and idly kicked a small stone, watching it tumble a few feet away. Now, what to do, what to do.
