((This is a bit ancient techniqually but I never got to put it up and it counts as a full rp so I'm just kind of logging it.

The morning was still in its dark stages. The sun had yet to even risen and still had a half hour or more before it would even begin to show signs of coming up. However despite that there was still stirring in the home of the Kuroi’Nera’s royal family. A small figure was stirring among a large group of small figures. It was young Hok’ee whom had recently come to call this place home. He’d been brought here by his biological father Buluu after his adopted mother had allowed him to take him and several of his other siblings full time to raise with his other children of around the same age. He was still getting adjusted to all the new individuals he’d never been around before and all the new sights he’d never seen. He was apprehensive of them but still very curious and he was warming up. He was getting to know his half siblings now and found it rather amusing that among them was a set of twins just like him and his sister but unlike him and Bara these two looked extremely alike because they were both girls and the only difference between them was the glowing markings on their bodies. He was also finding that he and the female twin were very similar personality wise. They were both very bold and adventurous and they were both rather flexible, able to adapt to new situations fairly quickly. They were becoming fairly close friends almost as close as they each were to their twin counterparts.

He was being very careful as he stirred and started moving through the pile that was his siblings and half siblings. He didn’t want to wake any of them before he could get out and go explore outside a bit by himself without any eyes watching him. With every step he got closer and closer until finally with one step over his half-brother he was off and out the entrance into the early morning darkness.

Unknowing to Hok’ee there were eyes watching him just from higher up. Buluu had been up for a little while himself and had climbed to the top of the entrance to his families den. He knew there were guards at the borders but there were some nights that he still found himself waking and ready to guard himself and his family. Old habits died hard and he still found himself unable to shake the light sleep of his rogue years. He had not had a family then but he still had enemies who wanted to kill him and sometimes eat him for their late night snack. Tonight it seemed this habit proved useful as movement at the entrance of the den caught his attention. At first he thought someone was trying to sneak in to the den but after a few moments he realized, with a sigh of relief, that there was someone trying to sneak out. While he was glad his family was not under attack he was a bit irritated that one of his kids, being so young, was sneaking out of the den while everyone else slept and they were only juveniles. He wasted no time at this point and made his way down to his cub to put this adventure to rest before the little one got hurt.

His eyes were full of wonder as he gazed around the darkness around him. His eyes were not really made for the dark but he could still see a great deal and the forest around him looked so different in the darkness. It almost seemed spooky to him with the dark shadows the trees cast and the different sounds of the nocturnal animals he had never heard before. He had been out at night before yes but never by himself and in a forest. His home before had been mostly grassland with tree’s here and there. It was so different with some many trees harboring many different creatures. There were birds hooting and small furry animals that lived on the ground and in the trees. All had different sounds they made and with every rustle of the bushes the animals made as Hok’ee stirred them up the more nervous Hok’ee became. By the time he stopped walking he was out of sight of the den and unsure which way to go to get back to it. Slowly he sat down now starting to shake as he began panicking and realizing he was lost. He had no idea how to get back to the den and there were still creatures moving in the bushes and he had no idea how big all of them actually were and one particular sound coming from behind him had him worried. The rustling sound was quite large and the longer he sat there the louder the rustle got. He turned his head so he could see behind him where the rustling was coming from and watched the bush move, shake and rustle until the large body of a feline emerged and he screamed in terror.

Buluu jumped back in shock as Hok’ee began screaming at him. “Woah! Hok’ee it’s ok! It’s me.” He exclaimed and slowly revealed his whole body trying to show Hok’ee it was ok. After a moment Hok’ee stopped screaming and Buluu saw his body relax just before the little Juvenile ran at him and placed his whole body as best he could between Buluu’s front paws. Seeing how frightened the Juvenile had been when he approached and relieved that it was only him Buluu couldn’t help but laugh hysterically at his son. Since he come to live in Kuroi’Nera Buluu had become a lot more serious and such behavior Hok’ee had exhibited he would not have found amusing from any other pride member especially the guards and other male members of the pride. He would have set them straight on how at least the male members of the pride should behave when it came to their fear but seeing his own son behave in such a way especially after having traveled a long way across the rogue lands to get here was something he would have never expected to see. Hok’ee had displayed a strong will and a good amount of bravery while making the journey to his new home so to be afraid while alone in the dark was surprising to Buluu. “Son, you and I need to have a talk… However it will have to wait till after the sun comes up. You need to get back to the den and get more sleep. When you wake up after the sun comes up, eat your breakfast and come find me. We’ll have us a man to man talk.” He said with a wink to Hok’ee and a nudge toward the den. Once Hok’ee started walking back toward the den Buluu followed him and watched as he headed back inside to lay back down before he headed back to his perch above the den entrance.
