Spick n Span was hungry. It wasn't time for lunch yet but her stomach rumbled loudly and she really, really hoped Mama might make her a snack or maybe decide lunch could be earlier this once. Only to her disappointment, Mama Latte wasn't in the kitchen. Only Cutie Roll. "Hi, Sis," the filly greeted before climbing onto a chair and sitting down. She heaved a sigh as her stomach growled once more than flopped her chin down onto the table. "Where's Mama?"

Cutie Roll had her tongue sticking out of her mouth and her nose in a book about new kinds of nigiri when her sister walked in. She half heatedly said hello when a sound reached her ears, a sound she never wanted to hear in anyone. A tummy rumbling! Blinking she turned her brown eyes to dear sister Spick N Span who looked quite peaked! "Tidy! What's wrong? You sound hungry!" she patted her dear sister's shoulder. No phony should be hungry, especially in their house. She was about to call out for Mama Latte but then remembered she'd stepped out for a small bit of grocery shopping. It was just the two of them as their brothers were off playing and exploring. "Um....I...could fix you something. If you want."

Tidy lifted her chin, "I am hungry. My tummy won't stop rumbling and not even cleaning helps." Which was just about the worst thing in the world. It was almost like being sick, entirely unable to focus on anything but how rotten she felt. A gurgle sounded and she looked down at her stomach, miserable. The filly looked up, red eyes wide with hope and surprise, "You could?" It wasn't that she thought her sister couldn't, Cutie Roll knew much more about food than she did (if she didn't have such a noisy stomach, she might plum forget to eat when in cleaning mode), but usually the phony was helping Mama. She probably should just see if they had any apples or carrots but she was really, really hungry. "I'd love that, Cutie, really."

Cutie looked horrified that any sibling of hers could possibly be hungry! Not when Cutie was around!! She hugged her sister, patting her head a bit. "Don't worry Spanny I'll make you something delicious!!"With that the filly hopped off her seat and went to the fridge. Hmmm, what to make her. She needed something filling from the sound of her tummy. But she wasn't allowed to use the stove when Mama Latte wasn't home. She had to think quick! Taking some bread and various jams and jellies out she looked them over. Normally such plain fair wasn't her style, she had to spice it up a bit! Taking the crusts off Cutie squished the bread into balls then covered them with different jams. Next she got out some baking dough then turned the oven on. Maybe she could at least use the oven? Putting some flower on the counter she spread out the dough, even if it stuck a few places. Then cut little squares. Finally she wrapped the dough around the bread/jam ball and pinched them closed. Putting them on a baking pan she popped them into the oven. It didn't take long to back as they were small and she pulled them out, smearing some peanut butter onto the tops so it would melt a little. "There we go!" she held up a plate, "Peanut Butter and Jelly Balls!"anemosagkelos God I'm so sorry I've taken forever to respond to this!!!

Oh, thank goodness, the phony thought to herself as her sister engulfed her in an embrace, one hoof tapping reassuring against the top of her head. She felt another rumble of hunger and couldn't help imagining a grand feast of every food she'd ever seen. Although she'd be happy enough with near anything at this point. Hopeful, Tidy watched her sister work. At first she thought a sandwich was going to be the outcome -- not a bad idea -- but as her sister continued... Wide-eyed and perplexed, she was stumped as the phony went through a myriad of steps. Crust torn, bread smushed, a coating of jam, wrapped in dough, the filly hadn't a clue what exactly this concoction was. "Oooh," she murmured as the plate was presented to her. Maybe it was a sign of her hunger or maybe her sister was really on to something but the filly carefully picked one to try and bit into it. "Ohmy," she paused, flicking her gaze at her sister, "That's delicious!" And it was also messy, she found, as the jam smeared against her face and the peanut butter couldn't help but get all over hooves.

Cutie was more than thrilled her sister loved the small bites she made. At least she could make SOMETHING other than seafood. Even if it was simple fair like PB&J balls. She ate some herself, laughing as Tidy got food all over her face though she was hardly any neater in her eating. She went to the sink to wash her hooves and wipe her face off from the sticky jelly and gooey peanut butter. She got another wash cloth, wet it and handed it to her sister. "For a girl named Tidy you sure are messy!" she giggled. It felt nice to make something for her sister, it wasn't anything special or grand but it made her sister happy. "Do you feel better with a snack in your tummy?"Though she was clean the kitchen looked like aPB&J bomb had gone off. Jely was stuck to the counter, peanut butter was on the floor, and the general mess of a cook could easily been seen. The pan was in the sink, slightly burnt peanut butter stuck to different parts.

The phony gratefully accepted the washcloth and began to wipe her face, mouth, and front hooves. She laughed at her sister's comment, nodding in agreement. It wasn't normally true, not with eating at least, but she did somehow often end up a mess. "Too much time with Muck," she teased. If any of them were certified 100% messy, it'd be their brother Swamp Net. At the moment though, "So much better," she grinned. "You're my hero."And then Tidy's eyes slipped past her sister to take in the kitchen. Wide-eyed and downright horrified, she gawked. Mama was not going to be happy, not one little bit, if she came home to this. "Uh, sis, how long ago did Mama leave?" she asked, craning her head to get a better look at the mess. It was bad. Really, really bad.

Cutie giggled as her sister spoke of their messy brother. She always loved how opposite the two were but could easily be found together. She was always in the kitchen, thinking of new things to make. Speaking of the kitchen her eyes followed Tidy's and got about as wide as hers. "Oh no....I....I didn't realize how messy I was being," she said as she looked to Tidy. She thought about the question, "Mama left about an hour ago! She said she'd be back around then! What am I gonna do?"She couldn't see how she'd clean the whole kitchen before Mama got home! And Mama always told her she had to keep things clean in the kitchen, a clean kitchen was a happy kitchen. "Mama's gonna be so mad at me!"anemosagkelos I'm a horrible person and I'm sorry!

Tidy's eyes narrowed as she took in the mess, standing up with that look. The one that said, pick up a dustpan or get out of the way. "You go look out for Mama. If you can, try to distract her, while I get this kitchen cleaned and shined to perfection!" She grinned at her sister, walking over and placing a hoof on her shoulder for a second. "Don't you worry, Cutie. Mama won't even know a mess was ever made in here!"Once she was satisfied the other phony was reassured, she went to gather her cleaning supplies. When she came back, she had a bucket full of soapy water with a mop, as well as bunch of washcloths. She clearly meant business. Byagane319 you're definitely not! re-quoting since it's been a month

Cutie was so nervous, Mama was going to be mad at her and maybe ground her from the kitchen for a whole week!! Then she looked up at Tidy suddenly had that "look". That look usually spelled disaster for their messy brother but it was a ray of hope for the messy cook. Normally she got out of her sister's way as, while a clean kitchen is a happy kitchen, no one could clean with the speed Tidy could. "O-ok Tidy! I'll make sure she stays occupied!" she said before running out to watch the front window. She could hear Tidy getting her things and hoped everything was going to be ok. After a little bit Cutie gasped as she saw Mama returning and ran back to the kitchen. "Tidy! Tidy! Mama's coming back!"

There were certain rules that the phony tossed out the window as she set to work. She was careful as she hurried gave the table and counters a good clean scrub before clambering up to use the mop to clean the ceiling -- she had to remind herself to stay on task when she saw a cobweb in the corner that teased her mercilessly as one moment it glittered in the light only to vanish if she moved -- that was somehow more messy than the floor. She used sponges under her hooves, to clean the floor, as she began to tidy up the dishes. Dirty ones were rinsed and put in the dishwasher; clean ones were inspected before being returned to cabinets. She had only to nab that dirty cloth splattered with a weird mix of peanut butter and jelly when she heard her sister's voice ring out. "It's okay!" she sounded, lunging to grab the cloth and shove it in her bucket. With a once over, she determined things looked clean. Except for her supplies which definitely weren't. Wrenching open the closet, she shoved the empty bucket full of dirty cloths and sponges in. The mop followed and then she darted out of the kitchen. "S'all clean!" she whispered with a grin.

Cutie darted in to try to help her sister with anything she needed, ready to take any blame for making a mess when she stopped in her tracks. The whole kitchen was clean! It even looked a little better than when the filly had started! She walked over to her sister, wrapping her hooves around her neck. "You are the best Sis!!"She knew she could depend on her sister and hoped to help her in the future with any hunger needs. anemosagkelos Sounds good to me! I'm so sorry this took so long! Hope to see your girl grow into a lovely mare!
