Alyson pulled out the book of sudoku puzzles that Conrad had gotten her. She'd worked her way through about half of them, she had sped through the easy ones at the start of the book, and was now starting to get a little bit stumped by some of the puzzles she came across. It was a good way to pass the time. And, honestly, watching the scenery zip by was just a little bit scary when she still wasn't quite used to going so fast . . .

Conrad helped when he could. For one square, he had been scolded out of helping. His precious Bride wanted to work through the book on her own. He was proud of her for wanting to do it on her own. Once he was at the turn off for the theater parking he gently touched Alyson's arm. "Love, we're here." He said taking the corner and the parking lot and took a spot.

Alyson smiled and put the puzzle book away in the glove compartment. Once the car came to a stop in the parking lot, she quickly unbuckled and hopped out of the car. She looked around a bit to orient herself and find the theater, but once she did, she was off, excited to see the movie. "Come on, Conrad!" she called to him over her shoulder.

Conrad chuckled as he locked up the car then followed his excited bride, from the parking lot to the theatre. "So excited." He shook his head. Sometimes he wondered at how strange she was. but then he reminded himself, she was catching up on the times.

"Come on!" she called again, waiting anxiously at the entrance to the theater for Conrad to catch up to her. She was practically hopping from foot to foot in her excitement. "We're gonna miss it!" And maybe a bit of worry.

Conrad laughed softly as he hurried after her. "Be still my beloved." He cooed and kissed her hair, pointing at the starting time. "We're half an hour early." His eyes were alight with mischief. He had planned so many surprises for her over the night, he hoped to keep her on her toes for a while.

Alyson frowned. "But-but . . . the part where they show bits of story that can be seen elsewhere . . ." better known as the previews, where Alyson wound up getting excited for yet MORE movies. She'd discovered the trailers on a dvd and that had started the avalanche of questions about what all the movies being advertised were. "I wanna know what's coming up next . . ." she whined. Being brought back to life in such a technologically advanced world . . . Alyson was always being amazed at what was being developed.

Conrad chuckled and nodded. "They'll let us into the theatre in twenty minutes, so we have time to buy our tickets and snacks for you." He smirked. "I made sure to get here in plenty of time. You'll see what's up next. I promise." He stroked her cheek.

Alyson pouted a little, feeling rather silly for rushing now, but she lit up as she grabbed his arm and rather pulled him into the theater. If they had plenty of time, that meant plenty of time to decide which new snack foods she'd be trying this time around! She really was quite enamored with the future.

Conrad gave a chuckle as she rushed off to get something from the snack bar. He paid for the tickets and pointed her out and put down thirty dollars so she could get whatever she wanted. Then he sat down on the couch near the door to the theater to wait.

Big mistake.

He closed his eyes and the world washed away, all of a sudden he was caught up in a battle that was centuries before he was born, speaking languages that were long dead. His body twitched as in the dream he fought and ran for his life. Panic filled him when she couldn't wake up, couldn't break free of the dream. His control over the voices in his head was slipping. Alyson. . . Alyson help me!!

Alyson was excitedly perusing the snack options when she turned to ask Conrad for his opinion on one of the candy options. Her eyes widened when she noticed he wasn't by her side and looked around for him. "Conrad?" she muttered as she caught sight of his rather troubled expression as his body twitched in his sleep.

She turned to the person manning the counter and asked them to just give her whatever they liked until the money was gone and went over to Conrad with concerned caution. "Conrad?" she asked, reaching out and gently touching his shoulder. When that didn't get a response, she shook his shoulder lightly. "Hey! Conrad, wake up." she hissed at him, concerned that he'd fallen asleep in the first place.

Conrad's eyes snapped open, the red replaced with black behind his contact lenses. They darted around quickly and quickly held her close. "What's wrong?" He asked. "Is it a spider? A snake?" He trembled his eyes trying to locate the threat.

Alyson yelped in surprise as she was suddenly held close. She pushed away with some difficulty, shaking her head. "It's fine. You were . . . you just . . ." she wasn't entirely sure how to phrase it. "Um . . . You fell asleep and were . . . twitching?" she ventured. She then looked at him with concern. "We can always go to the movies another day if you're tired . . ." she said softly before attempting a joke with a hesitant smile. "I mean, you might sleep through the whole movie otherwise." She chuckled hesitantly, feeling that humor wasn't exactly the right move in this situation.
