Persephone lingered at the border of the herdlands, chewing her bottom lip. The flutter mare was contemplating weather or not to cross to find someone or to walk the border. "Oh but that would take too long." She eyed the pretty roses that grew in large bushes, their scent was wonderful, just from where she was standing. Taking a hesitant step forward, and then another. When no one yelled at her or came barreling toward her she quickly trotted to the flowers. Ignoring the thorns she buried her nose in the closest bunch and inhaled. She couldn't wait to add them to her established roses and began looking over the plants. There were so many colors and variants that she really didn't think there would be a favorite.

Cad Walked along with his younger sister. It was good to spend some time with her, getting her out of their parent's hair for a little while. The little filly was very much the opposite of her brother. He was taking her towards the rose garden to play a little while. The symbolic flower of the herd in many ways. Most of his family wore roses in some sort of fashion so the rose bushes were special to them. Not that they were untouchable or anything, well.. one was.. the lone white primrose bush that stood in the garden's heart was left untouched. It'd been the first bush planted by his grandmother after the herd had been established. As his sister raced ahead giggling, he plodded quietly, thinking. How easy he'd fallen into the roll of the eldest brother.
With her brother behind her, she charged on fearlessly. Her giggles rang out among the blooming flowers as they woke up from their wintery sleep. Their naming ceremony behing them now, she was a full fledged member born to the herd. Granted her parents were mostly nomadic, it didn't matter. They belonged to the herd none the less. She could smell the sweet clean fragrence of the roses as she drew closer to the garden up ahead. "Come on Cad!!! We're almost there!! She called out as she looked back. that giggling spark twinkling in her eyes.
