[GM ORP] Mafia Wars: All that Glitters is Gold PG5

Similar to how the room of Wrath was, the door opened up to reveal a large cavernous space. And it was completely filled with treasures. Students would find themselves practically wading through a sea of gold coins and gems. Where had all of this come from? Who even owned all this treasure? Well. It probably couldn't hurt to pocket a few coins. With so much here, who would even notice?

Along the walls, were intricate murals. They depicted various beings lavishing in riches, amassing large wealth for themselves, and the like.

Kayu was nowhere to be seen. Maybe she got buried under the gold.

Upon entering the room, the last thing on Lutz's mind was the whereabouts of Kayu. He was far more distracted by the fact that he was nigh blinded by piles of treasure, his eyes narrowing as he gazed out at the sea of gold. Coming to a stop in the doorway, the marionette scanned the room and then crouched down to pick up an extravagant, jeweled necklace that had been sitting by his feet.

"Why would anyone want to put this much money beneath the school of all places?"

He almost didn't notice the gold at first. Instead, Bren stared in awe of the cavernous room existing where it shouldn't have, his mind racing with questions and possibilities. What else was hidden beneath the school besides...

He looked down at his hands. They were clutching quite a lot of gold. He really had no idea when he had picked the coins up, but he was quite certain now that he would like to keep doing so.

So, he did. Bren crouched low in the piles, rifling through the coins and gems and holding onto some of the prettier ones this time, rather than just scooping them up by the handful. It was a good thing he had a lot of pockets.

The boil's head popped up from behind a heap of gold when he heard Lutz's voice, a coin between his teeth like he was testing its value.

"I don't know, but it's interesting, isn't it? These doors. And all the guards? Why are any of them here?"

Uru'baen

Uru noted the room with a surly expression. Gold. A sea of gold. He could name quite a few of individuals who would have a field day in this situation. He could name a few that would be stuffing everything they had and every orifice. He scoffed at the idea... However, he understood the allure. It made things easier for creeple. With this sort of income, they were able to become debtless. They could fix issues, they could have food and not have much to worry about.

He was in the middle of renovating and redecorating his new home. One piece wouldn't harm much; not the economy, not the bank, not much of his morals...

Reluctantly, Uru pocketed a gold piece.

Brenna

She bounded into the sea of wealth with glee as she splashed about in it. "Look at all of this, brother! So much gold!" She pointed out as she began to stuff her pockets with gold. She glanced at her brother who had crossed his arms with a very, very disappointed look. "Oh, come on, it's not like they're going to miss some gold missing. Besides, who hides this much stuff under a school except some sort of mastermind bent on using it to destroy something really really big? Logically, we're saving something from being destroyed. So toned down your face."

Lock followed Lutz in, keeping one hand on the boil's shirt so as to prevent the marionette from running away. Not that "running" was a word he'd ever associate with Lutz.

He rolled his eyes at the gold and waded through. He picked up a few pieces to examine it, then dropped it back on the pile. Despite being on the smaller income side of Halloween, he knew better than to just go stealing someone's jacking gold. That was illegal.

"Perhaps it was for safekeeping. Put it where no one will look?" he offered, frowning at the pile. It was unusual to say the least. "Leave it there," he hissed at Lutz for picking up a necklace. "It's not yours."

It was then that he noticed Brenley was doing the same. "You too, put it back!"

"Well it's not a great hiding place if a buch of mafia punks and students have found it," Lutz drawled in response as he straightened up. He immediately released his hold on the necklace when Lock told him to drop it, but it was more of because the jewelry looked so damned tacky than any desire to be obedient that compelled him to do it.

As if to prove he hadn't done it just because Lock said so, the boil dipped down a second later to pick up a small, shiny gold crown instead. Still kind of tacky, but classier at least.

Gaze sliding over to the other student who was present, Lutz grinned and gave a weak shrug of his shoulders. "Keeps things in this otherwise boring school exciting, I suppose. Nothing like starting a day with explosions and gang wars."

Feeling slightly ashamed by Lock's disapproval, Bren dropped the coin that had been in his mouth. His pockets were still stuffed with them, however, and he made no move to get rid of the rest, even if he did look a little like a lumpy pillow.

Sammy busted through the door fist up ready to go, purple flames roaring in her empty sockets as she slid into the room ready to knock heads and take names and kick the asses of.... all... these piles.... of....gold?

She stopped arms dropping, Siddie had money, maybe not as much as she had when they first met since you know, the whole not getting married to Barth thing cut off a lot of the family funds.

"Buddy, in my few years here at the school, the worst trouble you can get into involves Horsemen, Hunters, that Haunted house we sometimes stumble on, and picking fights with people bigger then you. What I see. Is a way to make me not so broke so I can buy my Ghoulfriend that dress she was looking at last month..." She gave Lock a grin before rushing forward to a pile to start shoveling gold into her jackets many pockets, and the bag tucked behind her back.

Lutz bent over to pick the crown back up, grabbing a ridiculously ornate scepter while he conveniently down there. Upon straightening back up, he used the giant emerald at the tip of his newfound treasure to prod Lock in the side.

"I thought we were already in trouble."

Lock looked at the camera like he was on the office.

He ignored the side prodding and instead just kept walking. Whatever. Tsundere mode activated; if Lutz and Brenley wanted to act like complete fools, he would just leave them behind.

After all, he didn't see Kayu, Settimo, or any of the other figures they'd seen in the past excursions. Leaving Lutz and Brenley behind (or trying to), Lock began to examine the cavern opposite of the door.
