The Door

He intended to do every part of his dorm up with Halloween style and that meant starting at the beginning. He knew the door component was very important, because it would be the only thing people would see as they were walking by. He needed something dazzling, something that would make people wonder just what is inside that dorm there ...

He made the whole thing look like a greenish zombie, complete with rotted in teeth and long reddish lacerations (in his brain, it was from a shark attack, because sharks were the best).

Strider also sweet-talked an older fairy into enchanting the door so that whenever people passed by the door, the eyes on the zombie would slooowly follow you around. It became a funny sight watching it try to figure out what to do when two people were walking the opposite way.

Thankfully he wasn't going for total and complete excellence. IT was entertaining enough and it worked.

The Room

The piece de resistance was of course his room. The door was created to bring people in, to draw them all in to the grand show lurking behind the zombified paper.

Now Strider didn't have a lot of textile or papercraft creativity (he had musical creativity in spades because he was a ******** musician rockstar king), he still went all out on his dorm. This was because he knew he would be inviting quite a few people over for a Halloween party, and you couldn't have a Halloween party without the works. You just couldn't. It would be a sin, and not the good kind.

The first was, of course, pumpkins in deuces. All of them were colored strange colors like green, purple, black and red so as to not confuse people with the legitimate and very real orange baby-making pumpkins. As much as he knew he was destined for illegitimate children, today was not that day. All of these pumpkins were carved both by himself and by the many ghouls that threw themselves at his disposal to do so. He demanded, naturally, that the majority of them be sharks, but a few of them did sneak in that were goblins and ghouls and all sorts of other shapes. By the time those got put up around the pool, his place was downright respectable.

His next goal was the wall decorations. That included streamers (orange and black, Amity colors!) and all sorts of spiderwebs and bloody handprints. He belatedly realized this was going to be a huge pain in the a** to clean up, but he waved it away. Maybe he'd get his brother to clean it up or something. Yeah, Razor would probably be up for that.

Food was of course important too, but he couldn't actually slap that together until the big day. He was thinking the usual party snacks; things like bloody punch (spiked if he could find someone to bring the cider), lady's fingers and ghost pops. Nobody who was anybody came to a party looking for food anyways- Strider wasn't all that concerned with food.

MUSIC was what mattered more. He had all arrays of rock and pop, poetically smashed together on a mixtape, including many songs of his own. Nothing screamed confidence more than playing your own songs at your own party.

The Outfit

One last, very important subject was the subject of what he would wear to this get together. Sure he could have thrown on any old thing (or conversely, nothing at all) and still looked damn good for everyone, but the whole point of a party was showing yourself off at peak condition. That meant clawing through his closet for the perfect outfit. Something that got everyone's attention without getting attention in the bad way.

Black, ripped jeans, a good pair of red bloods, red and black jacket with a grey v neck. The important piece was a pair of stunner shades on top of his head, which emphasized his personality to the max.

Perfect.

(Of course it was perfect, he was the one in them).

Now all he had to do was invite everyone over.
