[CYOA - Solo] Navigate the Maize Maze [Callista]

[ATh e a r t]

[The Start]

Callie looked at the maze that was now in front of her. She saw different ghouls go in and come out of the maze. Sometimes, a scream would ring out. Was it really that frightening in there? Part of her wanted to cower and hide in her bunny form. The other half... What did she have to lose? Not like she would die in there.

Right...?

Right. The walls were unbreakable, invincible to say the least. Maybe, if she gave up, she could burrow to freedom. "No... I need to explore. And make it out." She took one step into the maze and looked left and right, eventually choosing to go to the left. Hopefully, her choice was the right one.  

[ATh e a r t]

[1st - Left]

Callie quickly made her way to the next split where she had to make a choice. To go left, or to go forward. Going forward seemed like the easiest choice, but was the easiest choice a trick? Instead, Callie went to her left, again, hoping for some sort of luck in that direction.

She heard a sad moan; she hoped whomever was over there was okay and didn't need any help getting out. Callie hoped she made the right choice by going into the maze.

[2nd - Investigate]

The nagual quickly made her way down the path in front of her. As she walked, Callie could fill the air being a bit more frigid. She shivered just a bit before heard the sound of a train's horn. "Where in the world is that coming from?"

There was a mix of coal and peppermint in the air, Was the train being powered by coal and peppermint? It sounded a bit impossible, but Callista could not help but go and investigate what was going on.

[3rd - Warts]

She headed towards the noise until she stopped in front of what looked like two train cars. One said 'Town', the other 'Warts'. Although her heart was leaning towards 'Town', Callista thought that... choosing the opposite would be a better choice.

It wasn't very good logic, but with all the strange things going around, the most illogical choice seemed like the logical choice.

Callie stepped into the train car, not sure of what to expect.

[4th - Investigate]

Callie first peeked into the town car. She saw nothing and no one so stepped in and sat down a few seats from the door. It was oddly quiet, but every so often she would hear a 'croak'.

The noise was okay at first and easy to ignore, but it grew to be irritating and Callie just had to see what in the world was wrong with the frog - if anything. Least she could do was put it back outside.

[Ending C]

She listened closely and walked towards the sound. It got louder and louder, and when she was close enough to the sound, Callie started to smell chocolate. Why was food seemingly tempting her this season?

Almost instantly, hundreds of chocolate frogs jumped at Callie and knocked her out. At least, she thought they were chocolate frogs...

When Callista woke up, she found herself lying on her back looking up into the sky. She felt the grass under her hands and realized she was no longer in the maze. She had lost, but at least she was alive. Whomever decided to knock her out with a bunch of chocolate somethings was not right in the head. Part of her wished she could have eaten a couple of those.

She found some candy sitting close by. "Consolation prize, I guess..." Little did Callie know that the gnomes had left another gift - 'LOOZUR' written on her forehead. That would definitely lower her self confidence for a while longer.
