	[ Mr. X ] Finally getting her bearings, Nerisei waited for the beast to come. It came up, all shadow and excitement, and clearly wanted more love than blood. Giving it a pat on the head, the dryad moved to scoop up the shadow before returning to X. Grabbing candy in exchange, she nodded and made way to head home. It was a strange night, but looking back, it was quite entertaining. But maybe next year, she would sit back and watch. [ 24 Pieces of Candy ]
