[PRP] Death Shards (Chel + Jack)

She scowled at him somewhat, irked almost that he had somehow missed the idle chatter of the life techs as they worked. Like small details like that were supposed to be noticed by everyone.

"Even they don't ********' know," she said plainly, taking her half faceplanting it. She only came up to say, "Dint you hear the purple-haired one sayin' that?"

No special bed rituals for her beyond removing her makeup (already done) and wiggling out of her pants. Very beauty much effort.

"Oh, of course. Let's just keep them extremely close then," Jack said dryly. If they had been something more obvious, like an artifact, they could have simply done another run down of simple tests to trigger it. But after their most recent blue and black escapade, he was wary of handling any more shards or gems or anything remotely crystalline. His had been immediately placed amongst his things in Chel's room to get taken back to his own later.

God knew if he left it in that mess, something would probably happen. That was the way their luck seemed to work.

"Well, whatever they are, they'll have to wait until tomorrow." Jack moved to the bed and flopped. "Had enough mirror bullshit today."

Chel turned her head in an attempt to get comfortable, but only ended up sneaking a glance at her shard. Jack was right- they really shouldn't have been keeping them so close ...

But they were so pretty ...

She heard Jack flop and turned her head at the motion. It was a very cheesy thought and one she kept very private, but she understood whiny country songs a little better; it really was incredible to get to sleep next to him.

Or more on him. Big tall body had to be used for something. "You? Gettin' tired of lookin' in mirrors? Naww."

"Ha ha," came the half muffled pillow voice. But he barely had looked in theirs today while removing his own make up. Jack tilted a little, threatening to depose her of her seat.

Instead of clinging and forcing herself to get the seat, she slid off, going with the flow of his motions. This only resulted in her putting her face in Jack's chest though. Chel slept on her side so he was really going to lose this fight either way.

"See y'in the morning Beanstalk," she murmured, running her hands over his back, stretching the band shirt slightly. She made a small note to take this shirt in the morning- it was a nice shirt.
