	Which school did that ghoul go to? Was she still in school, or was she just wearing the uniform? If she was a benefactor, why would she be attending school-- Cearney supposed it didn't matter, really. It sounded like they were going to get answers soon, answers specifically about power. When it came to things of such a variety, Cearney was certain to be listening intently. A tangible demonstration? Cearney idly fiddled with his FEAR amp. He was all ears. Or eyes, as it were.

	The air shimmers and a set of black, shining mirrors appear, floating in the air beside each potential supplicant. "Take it." The two intone as they turn as one to walk away. "See your own potential." Quote: Black Mirrors of Potential These are good for three uses before they shatter. Each use offers a window-like glimpse into an alternate reality in which your character either has great power or have been rendered powerless. They will most often encourage the idea of the users right to power, the necessity of it. After the third use, the mirror shatters, leaving the user with a black shard of crystal. Handling it makes the user feel more powerful, more in control of themselves and others. 	Hollandaise flinched when the mirrors appeared, unused to strange magic. There was one for each of them, and her was small, manageable in size. She did not look into it, instead watching as the two strange creeple walked away. She tilted her head and carefully, hesitantly, plucked the mirror from the air. It could have dissolved or exploded or anything at all. But it did not, and she felt the weight on it in her fingers, the cold of it. The urge to look into it was present, but she ignored it. Hollandaise would rather see herself in the mirror with no one else around. It seemed private. "Will the mirrors show us where to go?" she asked, turning to Settimo and Jamila. blade kuroda nio love

	A mirror? Cearney wasn't exactly sure how a mirror was related to a tangible display of power, and he whuffed at it, briefly pondering rejecting it all together. In the end, though, that wasn't an option. Even if they didn't seem to be beacons of power on their own, Cearney never rejected a free item he was presented with (especially one as eye-catching as the mirror was) and so he took it from the air. He gazed over the mirror, noting the designs and just how dark the mirror appeared to be. Were they supposed to see something in these? Cearney assumed that added up, especially with the eerie "See your own potential" statement. His own, in particular. That implied no one else's. He'd have to look deeper later. Right now wasn't the time, not with questions to be asked and more privacy needed.

	"Either way, take good care of that mirror. It's a precious gift, and it should help you decide whether you want to continue forward with our little expedition or not. We will begin a week from now, either way. That is everything." She seemed distracted, as if the presence of their benefactor had stolen her attention, and a little of her demeanor.
