User Image She was.. Well. She didn't know exactly where she was and it had the mare a little puzzled. She had been flying in the direction her mother had told her a while back but a strong gust of wind had knocked her off course and she was somewhere that WASN'T at all like her mother had described. She had been flying to clear her head and had figured she could go spend time with her Father. Perhaps her mother would be there as well and she could discuss what she was feeling. She shook her head and sighed as she allowed herself to come back to reality. This was more important than what she was feeling inside. She needed to figure out where she was and worry about her emotions later.

She didn't like the way this place looked and she didn't feel at all welcomed. A soft nicker escaped her lips as she looked around and pawed at the firm earth nervously. She wasn't often afraid of anything, but for some reason she was nervous here and she didn't exactly understand why. Perhaps it was just as well for she had no idea the troubles she was about to get into.

It didn't help that it was raining either so the area was dark, damp and misty. You could see the displeasure in her facial features. Believe it or not, she quite enjoyed the rain, however with it being in combination to these circumstances she did not enjoy it. She gave a small huff and started to walk towards what looked like some sort of a rocky formation not too far off. Maybe she could see better from up there. It was too windy for her to want to fly. It would most likely carry her somewhere else and she figured she was far enough lost already.

Sorry this took so long! XD I just wasn't really sure what I wanted to do with Claymore in this. He isn't someone I rp often and it takes me a moment to grasp his character.

Claymore grumbled under his breath, tucking his great wings closer against his side in his agitation. He had called up his family, hunkering them down in and empty cave for the time being. They were tired, hungry, and soaked. It wasn’t a pleasant combination, they needed food. He pawed the earth, great hoof easily tearing it up as he eyed the outside. The rain was still coming down steadily and the wind was rather harsh but things were better than they had been. Perhaps he could find some small game, a deer or something.

As much as he’d like to bring them the flesh of one of their enemies now was not the time. It might alert them to their position and they were in no shape to take any group on. He snorted angrily before glancing back at his family once more. They’d been so proud before this, so strong, it hurt him to see them as they were now.

With another irritated grumble he stepped out into the dreary conditions. His great head nearly scraping the top of the cave as he exited, the cave was too small a living space for someone so large. They’d move on soon, if only because of that very reason.

He made his way up, great hooves turning up the ground as his spaded tail lashed back and forth. Atop the rock formation he glanced around, eyes squinting in an attempt to see anything. He wasn’t likely to find any sort of game in this weather. Most things were smart enough to get out of this hell pit but he supposed he wasn’t most things. Still perhaps if he was lucky he’d spot something, and if nothing else they did need a look out. He wasn’t about to ask anyone else to do it either.

He’d been standing watch longer than he really cared to admit over the years. Never had Claymore been one of those to hide in the back or sleep soundly when his men were doing all the work. Sleeping was easier when he knew he’d given something to the herd as well, even when it was something as simple as keeping watch. Often times he could be found with his men, training, watching, joking, laughing, they’d been like his own children. With a snort he turned away from that train of thought. It would do to dwell on the past right now, he’d have time to wallow in his guilt and regret later. He’d done the best he could, even if it hadn’t been enough. Perhaps that was the problem; his best had never fallen this short before.

Pulling himself from his own thoughts his eyes caught on a slight figure. He narrowed his gaze for surly that was not what he thought it was, had they really sent scouts this far out?! With a great bellow that could just be heard over the whistle of the wind he dove off the rocky outcropping spreading large wings out as he descended upon the mare. The weight of his body making it nigh impossible for the wind to blow him off course. If she didn’t run the little mare would be faced with a beast from nightmare that much was certain.

User Image Something didn't seem right to her about the area she was in. The weather didn't add to her feeling of dread either. Her wings shifted against her side nervously as she scanned the area around her. It was so hard to see in rain and fog and something deep within her gut was telling her she should probably continue on, somewhere else. She wasn't strong enough to fly in this weather though. It would blow her around so she was, for the time being, grounded. Pale eyes darted around as she heard the wind howl through the rocky formation but she thought she heard something else.

Thunder rolled through the sky and as a dash of lightning made it's mark upon the heavens a bellow caused her to freeze in her tracks and it was well aware that her instincts had been right. She wasn't safe here. But she was frozen for the moment as she watched the massive form of Claymore take shape in the haze and barrel down towards her.

Her entire being quivered and she finally forced herself to move when a clap of thunder broke her from her trance and she quickly moved aside so she wasn't in direct line of being rammed in to. She let out a soft nicker in distress and felt the rain beating down upon her frail frame and she turned to look at the beast that had descended upon her. He was massive compared to her and looked brutal. She couldn't bring herself to speak, she was too afraid to. She had nowhere to go, nowhere to run. She was at a loss.

Of The Epidemic
No worries. <3 How do you want to go about her getting her head injury? Do you want it to be from him or she stumbles and falls? I'm open for suggestions.
