[T+PRP] Long Walks on the Beach With Weapons (Tottie)

It didn't matter that the door slamming incident of twenty fifteen had happened at least a week prior. It didn't matter that Tommy actually wasn't all that bothered by it as he just happened to get up rather early every day anyways and had been awake when it happened. It didn't matter one single iota, but that didn't stop him from using it as an excuse to sling Hattie over his shoulder anyways, and carry her, hopefully kicking and screaming, all the way down to the beach and to the ocean's edge.

"Say you are sorry or I am throwing you in for the tentacles to deal with!" He proclaimed, rather jovially and without a hint of threat in his voice.

But the threat was very, very, real.

Hattie was indeed kicking and screaming, but it would be more accurate to say she was screaming with laughter. At first she had no idea why she was being wrestled and slung over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes, but when it became clear as to why, it was the funniest thing.

"NEVER!" Stubborn to a fault, the lanky girl leaned in close, nearly folding herself in half in an attempt to hold him around the middle, resisting any attempt he may have to actually toss her into the water alone.

The way she positioned her body might actually prove to be problematic, and Tommy fought to keep her from completing the course of action that she had chosen to take.

Namely by continuing to hold her tight around her middle over his shoulder with one arm, while using his free hand to reach up and tickle her wherever he could reach.

If that didn't work, he would throw in several little pinches as well.

Of course, all of this was not exactly easy to accomplish while keeping his balance, but that is at least where all of his yoga training came in handy!

"LAST CHANCE!"

At first, his prodding attempts to tickle her only made her hold on tighter. Yet as they continued, and as they grew in intensity, Harley let go. She had every intention of smacking away his awful hands.

"STOP!" She shrieked between her bursts of laughter, hitting him as best as she could. "-AND NEVER-"

He'd had a feeling that was what she would say.

Slogging out into the water while still attempting to balance with a wiggling, rather feisty, mass of red head slung over his shoulder, he stopped when he felt that he was in deep enough, and up-ended her into the ocean.

And then he brought his fingers to his lips and whistled, a sharp sound that carried out over the waves before he held both hands to his mouth and hollered. "DINNER TIME!" to whatever lurked within the deep.

Hattie's rather delighted shriek ended in a splash much too loud for someone her size. His toss was enough to submerge her, and it took her a moment to get back to the surface, breaking it just in time to hear him yell to the beasties that no doubt hid in the beautiful blues.

"YOU'RE SUCH A d**k!" Hattie screamed out, still laughing, and she tried to throw herself on him, to either drag him into the water with her, or to have him help her out of the water as he back-pedalled. Whichever happened, really.

He might have gotten away if he hadn't managed to step on something rather slippery as he backed away, causing him to stumble, which left him wide open and vulnerable for Hattie's little attack. She successfully managed to latch on to him, and since he was already off balance, he fell backwards into the water with a surprised squawk followed by a laugh that was cut off too short by disgusting salt water filling his mouth.

Flailing his arms, he pushed himself back above the surface and spat out what was in his mouth.

...Quite possibly directly in Hattie's direction.

"You deserved it. For all past, present, and inevitable future transgressions!"

He then splashed water at her face.

Tommy had been successfully submerged, and Hattie was quick to let go. Not without pushing him down to push herself back up, of course, but ultimately she did let him go, at least. She broke surface first, and spat out the gross salt water before shaking her head.

Tommy broke the surface not long after that. Then he spat at her. At her.

"AUGH YOU'RE DISGUSTING!" She wailed, shoving some water at him in return. A moment later she whirled away, and started to drag herself out of the ocean. Once she could scramble to her feet she did, and started to run back towards the bulk of their base, leaving a rather wet and sandy trail behind her.

A small but no less drenching wave of water hit Tommy full in the face, and he squinted his eyes closed, an arm held up to ward off both it and Hattie's evil.

"I'm disgusting??" He exclaimed, while slogging to his feet and staring after her.

"....Okay you might be right." He shrugged his shoulders and followed her out of the water, no easy task between the water and the sand that shifted beneath his feet, making quick travel rather difficult.

"Hey!" He laughed, as she began to move further and further away. "Where are you going? We have training to do!" He yelled, laughing more, with feet sliding in the sand as he attempted to pick up the pace and catch up to her.

"YEAH YOU ARE!" Hattie cried back at him, still trying to put as much space between them as possible, lest he decide to bring her back into the ocean in an attempt to feed the fish.

"What makes you think I'll train with you now?!" She yelled back at him, looking over her shoulder to judge his distance - only to shriek and try to run faster as she realized he was catching up to her.

He was tall, his stride long. He was totally going to catch her, barring some kind of freak accident.

As he continued to run after her, he shouted. "I'll pee in your bed!"

Well, she had called him gross, after all.

"WHY ARE YOU SO GROSS?!" Hattie wailed, laughing moments later. Like Tommy, she was tall and almost all leg, but the sand didn't help, and he still had a few inches on her. He caught up, though not without her trying to avoid him, and she turned around last minute to kick dirt and sand at him.

"You're the worst and I hate you!" She insisted with a grin. "What training were we doing today, oh Lord of Filth?"
