How much time had he been floating in darkness? Soaking in the words, the feelings of those outside of the darkness? Was there even an outside or was the world hidden in complete black? Soon he would know the truth, for the words that whispered through the darkness told him that the time was soon. It even whispered a name. Was it his name? It did not make sense, Shall See the Eye, how could one see in the darkness?
From a world of darkness, where sound and smell were the only senses available, the world of light was almost blinding in its brilliance. There was so much to see, it was hard to focus on just one thing, for everything was made up of tiny details. Multiple pairs of eyes were drawn to the river; its water constantly flowed and bubbled, creating a soothing sound that reminded the foal of the time in darkness. The world was made up of inexhaustible detail, how the light refracted off water and danced as the liquid rippled or the slight changing of leaves from summer to autumn. With slow deliberate movement, the foal moved forward, there was a portion of the river that had a calm area where one could see the sky reflected upon the water.
Eyes were drawn to the reflection seen, brown eyes gazed back at him, as well as blue, orange, and green. He had eyes upon his head wings which were shaped like feather butterfly wings, eyes upon his fluffy white Angeni back wings, and eyes gazing out from his shoulders. No wonder he was able to see the incredible detail of the world, eight eyes were better than two. Color fascinated him, because each eye seemed to have a different range, he closed each eye, and gasped as the world shifted around him.
His name was Cenuvaihen, it meant Shall See the Eye. How did his parents know that it would be so fitting? The young winged foal looked away from his reflection and to the forest around him. He was in the lands of his home, and it was a magnificent place, magical in a sense that he could not yet explain.
Pale silver bangs covered his brown eyes and he blew the strands away easily; a smile appeared on his countenance, he was different than what others were expecting, for only spiders had the same amount of eyes that he possessed. Again he looked at the world with his eyes; he became lost in the detail, the colors, the way dust particles danced in the rays of sun light. After some time he came out of his distracted state, time seemed to fly when one was lost in the beauty of life, slowly he walked back to where his father and siblings were, his eyes were locked upon the majesty around him.
