Zodiac:Virgo
Height:5'9
Home Planet: Aquator-7
Race: Human
Gender:Female
Personality: Despite her joking, biting sarcasm and general selfishness, one can never shake the feeling that Athena would be a better person if only she knew how. Years spent among the galaxy’s trash have fostered layers of personal self-defense mechanisms and a cynical shell around her. As with many mercenaries, her loyalty cannot be purchased, but her services can be–if only temporarily. Possesses a track record of expertly manipulating employers, lovers and associates. Only the most persistent friend has any hope of meeting the “real” Athena hiding beneath the surface where she will hold a deep appreciation for the comfort and amity they show her, to the point of going out of her own ways to protect them. She only wishes to love and in return be showed the same amount of affection.
Likes: Space, Meat, Money,Sincerity, New Tech for gear and her Starship; The Cardinal
Dislikes: Snobs, Being double-crossed or taken advantage of, killing the innocent
Bio: Being born in a solar system corrupted by a drug cartel, Athena was already cursed to a bad life. She was a much sweeter child back then, always trying to remain optimistic despite her livings. At the age of seven, she lost both of her parents to a pillaging on her hometown and was forced onto the crew. She spent most of her days loading and unloading loot off of the ship and in return was taught how to survive with knives and guns. Things were going pretty well for her until, she was left deserted on one of the moons of Nel Shadura in a time of war.

Forced to adapt to her surroundings at age 18, she joined the winning side of the war, the Fallen Legion. Where she learned splicing, understanding black market trades, advanced combat & weaponry. She also fell for one of her higher commanding officers who regularly charmed her with flirting words and luxurious gifts. It was the first time anyone had shown her any sign of love her whole life. When the Legion had finally won the war, the two spent countless hours courting one another as they discussed what they would do now that the war was over. Athena was then proposed to by the woman which Athena would see as a highlight in her life. Sadly, all good things in life must end.

Only a few months into their engagement, Athena's lover had broken bonds with her abruptly and suddenly the woman went AWOL from the Fallen Legion taking a ship to parts unknown in the space. Heartbroken, Athena retired from the Legion to force away any memories she had with her loving memories and bought herself her own ship. Deciding to one day get answers herself from her previous lover, she took up a life of bounty hunting as an AWOL criminal would likely be up in future time. Until that time came, she would make a living herself and reflect on her past actions.

Name: Maribel Derson
Nickname: Mare
Age: 24
Birthday: In Earth years; 4th of March, 3256.
Height:6'0
Home Planet: Felios-1
Race: Human/ Cat Hybrid
Gender:Female
Personality: Mare possess some of the normal personality traits of her hybrid mix. She is soften spoke often when it comes to people she has met and almost hardly speaks whenever she does not know them. The customers that she has loves her, especially since she shows acts of favor towards them. Meaning, she allows people to have a tab and offers free meals to those that need them. Adventuring has never been her style, but somehow she always ends up in them anyway. Which has led her to develop good fighting skills though she rarely uses them beyond practice. She has kept herself from becoming involved romantically with others due to her disbelief that she would be a proper romantic interest.
Likes: Climbing, cooking, scratches behind the ears, Her (now destroyed) restaurant.
Dislikes: Destruction, bad attitudes, being flirted with, failing at a new recipe
Bio: Maribel was born of a race of hybrids created to survive in one of the solar systems. However, her solar system allowed for many visitors so she met a lot of beings from other galaxies. She grew up learning new forms of communication and more importantly, the struggles that other beings had when they came around. At the age of five, she decided she wanted to open a restaurant to help out those that were unfortunate. She spent her time working as a waitress to save up for the down payment of an old bed and breakfast.

Years later, she converted the old bed and breakfast into her own that specialized in having rooms designed for everyone. It became fairly successful, which in turn led to her having to deal with unsavory customers. To help offset this, she allowed some of her customers to pay by teaching her defensive and offensive fighting styles to get rid of unwanted customers. Lucky enough, most of her regular customers helped to stop the troublemakers.

However, recently she nor her customers were able to stop the destruction that came crashing through her place. On this day she met up with Athena, the part of the cause for the loss of her building. All good sense told her not to take up the woman's offer, but something about her attitude intrigued the young hybrid. This curiosity led to her agreeing to the trip despite her fears of adventuring beyond her comfort zone.

Dal Orantell, a small planet just six planets out from the star known as Odera. It's nothing else but a rock collecting scrap metal and low-lives looking to be entertained between lightspeed jumps in cantinas and other run-down restaurants. To a certain bounty hunter who had just landed her ship, the Cardinal, it was also inhabited by a certain wanted scum. A suit cladded in blue armor descended from inside the ship as it made it's way out of the entrance of the port.

"So Advi, what's this guy bio's again?" Athena asked her AI Unit connected to her communicator. A male voice chimed in, "Ikor Zaal; Toridian, 7'5, 575 pounds, male. Wanted for theft, arson, and two charges of vehicular manslaughter." the AI finished reporting as the bounty hunter scanned the area outside the port. "Really? This guy wouldn't have lasted a day back where I'm from if that's all he's done. Hey, you!" She whistled over to a small alien creature not even up to her waist who came waddling over, "I'm looking for a bull on two legs. Not commonly found around this part of the galaxy. You seen anybody that's matched the description?" There was a lot of of clicking and chatter coming from the tiny vermon before it pointed over in the direction of a beat-down building north-west of her location. As if in the knick of time, Athena had spotted the big oaf making his way inside the building. "Target spotted." She called out as she scrammed her little friend off.

Dorne made a B-line across the wasteland and through the commons before approaching her destination. She entered the doors into the establishment and was overwhelmed by the sorriest bunch of low-lives in this shabby bed and breakfast place. This place was somewhat packed for such terrible conditions and not only that, but Ikor had disappeared. Athena stuck out like a sore thumb in this place with her rifle strapped to her back and pistol holstered to her hip. If the alien had spotted her, the fugitive would surely be out of this place in a heartbeat or worse when she considered the amount of potential hostages he had in this building. "Damn! Ad, stay alert and keep an eye out for him. We're going to have to do things the hard way." She explained as she started wondering around. Hopefully she wouldn't run into any problems while on her search.

Business was already picking up at the Obrium, much to both Mare's worry and utter delight. The regulars were moving about claiming their usual spots amongst the customer built tables and bar tops. It was the best that she could get with her lack of money and the people that came into stay. The orders had started flying in and beings of all shapes and sizes were trying to get the specialized rooms before anyone else. In the back, Maribel was trying to get the chefs she had speeding up on the meal production to meet the pace of the customers coming in.

After a bit, one of the regulars came in to help with the cooking in hopes that would be the pay for his stay in the rooms. "Thank you so much Trabec. If you could take care of the sauces then I will be sure to get you a room for the night." Maribel stated before rushing out with a tray in a few trays on each arm as she did her best to balance everything. Some of the crowd parted ways for her, but others required a quick tap on the back from Mare's tail to let them know to let her through. In all the madness, she missed the fact that an armor clad being had entered into the restaurant.

With each step she took, she lost half of the step by being bumped into and pushed around like she was some sort of pinball between shoulder and elbows. How was it possible she lost sight of such a mammoth furball? She could see him from a quarter mile away and now it was like looking for a mouse! She just wanted to find this guy, cuff him, and get out of here so she can get her pay. It had been a week of tailing the guy and the whole time, she had constant calls from the Interstellar Space Administration whining to her about this case still being open. It was much easier for those guys to cry about it, then actually doing something. Spend a day in her boots!

"Target just spotted exiting to the last door of north corridor." Ad notified Athena. "Where?" She responded before being shoved into a table by a mound of gross green flesh passing by. She tumbled along with the table spilling a couple of drinks all over the floor while two avian humanoids began bickering at her. The flapping of their wings were slapping against her as well as blocking her view of the corridor where Ad sighted Ikor. She saw his horns for a second, but feathers skewered her vision letting him get away. Finally snapping, she growled as she gave one of the birds a mean straight to the face and looked into the direction of the other one who quickly shut it's beak. "That takes care of that problem. Now for this crowd."

Dorne unholstered her pistol and aimed it at the remaining bird alien. Creatures around her let out gasps of terror before backing up from the bounty hunter. "Everyone shut up and get out of my way unless you want a round!" she commanded as she waved the gun around to anyone within her proximity as a threat. Of course she wouldn't actually fire at anyone since each casualty other than the targets reduced the bounty reward which was a waste bullets and time. "North, farthest door on the left?" She asked as she turned in the direction of the hallway, "Correct. I'm surprised you held back. I was expecting to see a bullet wound on one of those Cormadavians."

"Shut up, Ad!" the woman ordered her AI as she began walking down the corridor. She didn't care at this point if that bovine knew he was being pursued, she needed him dead or alive. And after the chase he put the hunter on, she was starting to prefer he was dead.

Thankful and hungry expression were the greetings that were received as each meal was placed on its respective table. The thankful smiles were returned quickly as Mare's eyes kept a sharp focus on the new comer. Something about this metal suit donned being instantly spelled out trouble for everyone in here. An Officer? Was the initial thought in her mind as to the outfit. Yet, what kind of officer would move about in such a way without trying to find the owner for assistance? The last thing she needed in here was chaos and destruction by the law, especially when she did her best to keep the troublemakers out. Instead of thinking much more about it, she returned to her customers while only occasionally darting curious eyes back to the newcomer as the normal crowd jostled it around.

Mare was headed back to the kitchen to inform the staff that a new server would need to take her place while she went to check on how everyone else was doing. She had only been two steps away from the door when her feline ears jerked around in the direction of a loud crashing sound. "No no. Please not one of the tables," She said quietly hoping the crash was nothing more than some activity happening outside. Her hair raised on end and her tail stood erect at the continued sounds of ruckus playing out within her establishment. She whipped around to find her suspicions playing out before her in the form of a punched patron and a gun brandished at those remaining near the newcomer.

The usual "bodyguards" for the place were ready to strike back and throw the cretin out as they made their way down the hall. With a few quick jumps and disregard for those that were in her way, Mare had made it just past them. "Please get back. I will take care of this momentarily. Have the cooks bring out drinks for everyone." She suggested with the usual soft smile of hers. The two men looked at her then towards one another unsure if they should leave her alone, especially with someone that had a gun. She insisted one final time before leaving them to chase after the sounds of heavy armor landing on the floor. The corner she made it to was hopefully a well protected spot to keep her from being blasted. She dared not to turn the corner, but simply called out "You need to leave! I do not understand why you are here, but harassing and threatening my customers is inexcusable!"

Athena was about three quarters of the way down the hall before catching the sound of a warning coming from the end she had come from. She wasn't that interested who it came from as she continued for her destination. She had put plenty of time and effort to this big guy, so she had no intent of just packing up and leaving him for some other bounty hunter to grab. "Great." She muttered under her breath. This was the last thing she needed at the moment when she was only inches away from her game. "What do we do now?" Ad's voice rang through her helmet as she continued walking, "What do you think, Ad? When do I ever listen?" the bounty hunter asked before turning on her voice modulator.

"Sorry to burst your bubble m'am, but I have no intention of leaving without a certain customer of your's. A customer known as Ikor Zaal, who is wanted in several parts of the galaxy by the ISA for manslaughter." Dorne responded to the voice with her own tone as she advanced her position to the front of Ikor's door. Giving out all this information would give away her stealth, but it gave her the chance to make the owner of use to her. "If you force me to leave, that's being an aid to a wanted criminal on top of you harboring him as well. Which would be a good reason to call global authorities to come close down your establishment and take you off to jail along with Mr. Zaal. But if you want me to keep my mouth shut, you can let me stay and grab the credits on his head." She bribed the owner.

In the midst of her conversation, the bounty hunter could hear the sound of thundering hooves rushing towards the door along with a bellowing grunt, Ikor was coming. "Not good!" Ad called out as Athena aimed down her iron sights. "Bandit!" Ikor yelled as he sent the door to his rooming flying off it's frame towards Dorne. She managed to avoid the door, but the Toridian had managed to send her sliding down the corridor with the swing of his arm. She recovered by bracing for impact as she collided with one of the corridor walls, losing her helmet upon collision. If it hadn't been for her helmet, she would've been out cold or dead from such brute strength. As she sat there, she noticed the presence of the woman she was talking to. She looked up at her ears that caught her by surprise because of her human appearance before firing a round from her blaster pistol at Ikor. "Cross-breed huh? Never seen one with a human thrown into the genetics. Very adora-" Ikor suddenly threw the door which managed to fly slightly over Athena's head and lodged straight into wall. "I didn't forget about you! Anyways. . .if you agree to my earlier terms; evacuate all your customers so they're not caught up in the crossfire. I imagine you don't want to lose customers like I don't want to lose credits." the bounty hunter explained as she reached for her helmet.

"Do we have a deal??" Athena continued to reason with the owner while firing her blaster.

You've got to be kidding me... The thought crossed Marbel's mind as troublemaker responded to her statement. Sure aiding a criminal was not something she agreed with, but the hunter had shown no ID or information stating why she was here in the first place; at least not until now. Just for that alone she was ready to tell the hunter once again to leave the premises until she had the proper identification in hand; even if that meant she would be aiding a criminal.

She was fully ready to respond to the bribe with fervor and a tail at attention to match it when the sound of splitting wood scared her back. Just before running out to stop the damage, she noticed the door fly into the wall and the bounty hunter following after it. Her eyes widened at the damage before her. Already she knew that there was no money to fix this sort of damage any time soon. Marbel wanted to kill both the bounty and the bounty hunter to keep any other damage from occurring to her home and business. "Please stop this quickly! I cannot exist without this place..." She admittedly truthfully before pushing herself up into a sprint to warn the other patrons.

Once downstairs, she ran into the kitchen to inform the cooks to assist her in getting everyone out. Some wanted to go upstairs and fight, but with some quick convincing she assured them that everything would be alright. They surely would not lose the only place that they could have without money. Each made it out and away from the building, all except for Marbel. Instead of leaving she stood by her home wanting to go in and stop this from happening. Her fear and anger kept her shaking and pinned to the spot.

"Can do!"Athena shouted in response as she threw her helmet back on. She finally gathered herself up as she continued to fire at the mound of wool. Her shots were keen, but her pistol was weak against the dense pelt of Ikor's. She needed to get to safety and think for a second. "You still there Ad? I need you online!" she commanded as she made cover behind the corner. "I thought you were a goner when I saw your helmet was rolling around! I thought he might have decapitated you!" the AI said in a panicked voice. Ad was always so thoughtful of Athena's well-being, it practically made her laugh for a second despite their situation. "Nope still here, but you can cry over me being alive when we're through this! Get ready to target Ikor's vital spots while I swap out guns!" She continued as she holstered the blaster and in exchange for the custom assault blaster strapped to her back.

The gun was jet black all over with a teal glow coursing through wires over it as if they were it's veins. Bolts of unstable electricity occasionally ran out of the barrel of the gun before fading away. There was sheer joy to finally be trying out her most recent purchase from the black market's arsenal. The gunsmith had a name for this exclusive weapon; The BMF-17. Athena was almost too caught up admiring the gun before looking up at Ikor making his way around the corner to stare down the bounty hunter. Under that helmet was an excited smirk across the woman's face as the goliath gave a menacing roar. Three targets popped up on her POV display in her visor thanks to Ad, "Found some thinned out patches of wool on his chest and abdomen that should slow him down. The head is an obvious weak point, make it recognizable though for the kill shot we have to send in. The ISA was skeptical of the last one we sent in." Ad explained as Athena lined the cross-hair of the gun with the chest target as she went silent. She blocked out any of Ad's warnings as she felt the thrill of the hunt kicking in.

Dorne started to take a few steps back as she pulled down on the trigger of the gun which followed with thundering cracks cancelling out any other noise in the area of the facility. Rounds of fluorescent blue beams barraged the berserk bounty as they started their clash. Unlike the pistol, the BMF was showing greater results on the bovine as he tried to retreat behind tables he flipped as only to take a couple of shots to his torso. The tables showed little defense as they were easily riddles with holes along with the walls and ceiling of the Obrium. Chucks of drywall came falling down to the grounds around the two as they ran about the place. All of this chaos reminded Athena why she enjoyed her job so much; just because it brought so much havoc. "Come on then you big b*****d! Get that tail out between your legs and come get what you deserve!" she called out as she eased back on her rounds to scan the area for Ikor. The room had been torn to smithereens between the two while dust filled the air, making it easy for the Toridian to vanish out of sight. From behind a large pillar came the beast with a table in both hands."Ohhh fu-!" Athena couldn't get the words out as she looked through her cross-hairs in panic. Her fingers were just a second slow on the trigger as Ikor came charging at her and crashed the two of them into the kitchen. She didn't stand a chance as she accidentally dropped the BMF back in the dining hall.

The sound of silverware and plates shattering came afterwards as the two moved their brawl into the kitchen. The bull leveled a whole oven by himself with his horns as he slammed Athena against it. Cabinets and pantries falling to the floors could be heard as Ikor threw Athena around with his pure muscle, but she was putting up a fight of her own now that she had weakened him. Even though the Toridian was good at thrashing about the kitchen space, Close quarters was Dorne's forte. When she got the chance, she had managed to unsheathe her combat knife to aid her in duking it out. She dished some pretty mean haymakers and punches to the tired creature before dropping him down to his knees and delivering the final blow with a knee to his jaw. She could feel the tile floor shaking as the behemoth fell back first into the kitchen wall, leaving a mighty fine hole in the wall to let the sun shine through from outside. With her knife, she plunged it into the bovine's chest as he let out an agonizing cry before finally being silenced after several seconds went by. It was quiet for a minute as she stood over her kill before Ad chimed in through the communicator, "His vitals are gone, Kill confirmed. Ikor Zaal's down for good. I'm sending confirmation shots to the ISA now."

Athena let out a sigh of relief following with an exhausted huff to hear those words. How much time had just gone by? It felt like an hour struggle, but it had barely been ten minutes! She dropped her guard and wiped the blood off her knife with a tattered cloth hanging from her waist. "Hey, Miss Owner! It's over! Come take a look in the kitchen! Don't. . .uh. . .bring anyone else in though unless you want a few bad customer reviews." She called out for the hybrid.

Being outside while her everything was being wrecked had to be this hybrid's worst nightmare. The sounds of crashing brought on thoughts that soon this place just might go up in smoke or fall to its knees within seconds. Her body began to move. To maybe stop any more of this from happening. One of the patrons grabbed steadfast to her upper arm, but this did not stop her from falling to her own knees. Other customers murmured as they fled in fear, dreading that whoever was causing this trouble might soon come after them. Even the one that had initially held her back was starting to back away, thus leaving the owner on the ground in the beginnings of tears.

Finally, she heard one scrape of good news from her place. It was over, but was it truly over for her in a bright way. The further she got into the building the more it took her to hold herself up. What was she going to do? Mare was very sure that no one would return. They probably believed that this place was done for. Maybe not once and for all, but enough to make her have to rebuild the customer list from the ground up.

At last, Mare reached the kitchen. Nothing. Not even the broken dishes was enough to keep her from falling to the ground. Shards of dishes stuck into her hands and legs while the rest of her body shook. "You...Was this really worth it?" The words trembled as they left quivering lips. "Was the ridiculous bounty worth so much that you would destroy someone's life just to obtain it?" Her tone began to rise as she reached out and pulled some of the larger dish and cup pieces towards her. Silence filled the air around her as loose strands of crimson locks fell into her face against tear stained cheeks.

A digital blueprint of the BMF was being displayed via hologram from her dominant gauntlet while watching the the owner have her breakdown moment. With a hit of a button, the gun began to materialize out of thin air into the hands of Athena from it's original position back in the dining room. Technology was so fascinating today, she was glad she installed a digital structuring unit into the weapon. it made finding the gun much easier since it would come back to her instead. She scanned over the gun for scratches or damage before strapping it to her back as she looked down at the pouting kitten. " What did she say Ad?" She whispered into her helmet.

Advi had to play a recording of the question to the bounty hunter to understand the situation. "Of course it was. This guy had a three million credit bounty on him. That's enough for repairs on my ship for tracking this big lug and maybe a few decent meals this week. I could've easily bought this place out from under your nose if I really wanted to." Her joking around was not helping her defend her case. That lack of empathy made many other owners of businesses despise her just like the woman before her, but their was something different about this conversation the second she saw the tear stains on the owner's cheeks.

Managers were always too busy yelling at her to show any other expression other than fuming anger for the blonde as they berated her with hateful words, but the hybrid had shown her a different look; sheer heartbreak that her place was now in ruins. It was true that the fight had come at the cost of the establishment's condition, but it was already kind of beat down to her in the first place. This cat must have treasured it like a mother would her kids for her to only grieve over it or even call it her life. It felt like Dorne was watching the woman collect shards of her heart in hopes of putting it together after the bounty hunter had smashed it to pieces. Everything about this situation reminded her of herself after crying over a certain someone for the past couple years. It was like seeing a reflection of herself and she didn't want to see this woman travel down her path to hold a grudge against her. "Athena? Are you okay? You've been quiet for awhile now." Ad asked as the two stood a midst in her aftermath. She sucked her teeth in annoyance as this was the first time in what felt like forever that guilt was stabbing at her heart like a thousand daggers.

Her hand clenched before relaxing and reaching out to scratch the woman's furry ears. Cats liked that kind of thing right? She remembered watching her mother do the same to a stray they had encountered in their village on her home planet. She crouched down in front of the woman and took her helmet off with her free hand. She wanted to be face to face with the person she had caused so much trouble for. "Look, I'm sorry I couldn't save your place like you asked me to. But that doesn't mean it's the end of you, you've made it this far in life. Maybe it's just time for something new. Cheer up!" She sucked at apologizing, usually she just kind of brushed these kinds of things off in hopes of it all just disappearing as soon as she was gone. She could tell this wouldn't be one of those cases as she brushed back a crimson lock from the woman's distraught face. If only she knew some kind of way to make it up to the poor lass.

That's when the idea struck her. "What if you come with me? There's a free room aboard my ship that needs to be used and I could definitely use the company during those long travels through space." She could hear Ad's muffled voice coming from her helmet, "Athena!? Where are you?" She put the helmet down on the tile floor so she could wipe the tear stain's from the hybrids face with her thumbs before giving a hopeful smile to the girl. "What do ya say?"

►▬▬▬◄ Maribel "Mare" Derson ►▬▬▬◄

Maribel remained silent and unmoved after questioning the bounty hunter further about the actions taken here. What was the point in asking one of the "justice" scum of the cosmos when those caught in the crossfire did not matter to them. The decision to no longer speak was broken the instant Athena had spoken what Mare had already known to be true. It was about money and her being in the crossfire meant nothing. The precious ship was more important than the life of a civilian just trying to make a living. She wanted to strike the woman. To strike her and make her feel the pain she was experiencing her in heart and in the deep incisions caused by the shards puncturing her body.

Slowly she removed the apron from around her waist and let it fall to the floor. Her eyes refused to watch as the final piece of her restaurant life was removed from her. But this time, Mare removed it on her own decision. Some of the smaller shards of dishware was slowly removed from her body with burning tears streaming down her cheeks. The bigger ones would need to be left in lest she begin to bleed profusely. The cat ears atop her head twitched at the sound of Athena suggesting that this sort of thing was an easy fix. Her nails grew into long claws as her cat instincts were wanting her to pounce. Just one swipe to the throat and this would be over for the both of them. On the inside, Mare was terrified by her sudden change in attitude. This was not her. It never was really her. Something about this woman changed her without pause. Yes, the bounty hunter had destroyed her place, but the way she spoke was venom in Mare's veins.

Maribel was ready to end this. Today someone was going to die in her mind or they would both end up dying. Either way it felt justified. Before she turned to strike, the offer was heard by both of her ears. "How dare you? What makes you think going on your ship is going to fix my life?" She spat out in fury. Yet, she knew the truth. Her business was ruined and her home would surely be condemned once the authorities found out about the ruckus. The claws withdrew back into well maintained nails and her ears drooped. "Fine... Fine I'll join you. But I expect some sort of pay. As a way to help me fix my life." She stated plainly.

Such bitter and sharp words that came from the previous owner of the building they stood in. It seemed her attempt in apologizing was brushed off like it was nothing by the woman only to make Athena feel more guilty of what she had done. Even so, most of the damage was done by Ikor than the bounty hunter herself and if the authority had come to stop the alien, the place would have turned out much worse than what she had managed to cause. Her eyes wondered down to the discarded apron before picking it up and examining it to avoid eye contact with the angered woman. The distaste in Mare's voice made it sound as if she wasn't interested in her offer of the room, but the faint sound of a "Fine" coming from her voice put a small smile on her lips. That expression was shortly lived as she heard the rest of the woman's conditions to living on her ship which made her leer at the woman.

"Why should I pay you anything for stopping a wanted outlaw?" Dorne retorted as she stood up while glaring down at the woman with her blue sapphire eyes. The sound of plate shards cracked under her shifting feet as disgust boiled in her blood. She was already offering the hybrid shelter and now she was ordering her to pay her back? This was why she couldn't stand people; they always wanted to walk all over her when she was trying her best to show a little emotion for what she had done. No matter what part of the galaxy she was in, it was common for others to always want more than what she had to offer. She was just too much trouble for one person to handle apparently and it was becoming more clear as she drifted along throughout space."You're all the same. Life isn't something that can just be fixed, it's all about understanding the actuality of it all and getting used to it. If it could just be fixed, then I would have asked a long time ago for somebody to repair mine." the blonde voiced as she clutched the cloth apron in her hand. She could only think of one person that she had trusted to live up to that expectation just to find they had up and disappeared as well. What an amazing world that would be if people just came back to her with explanations. She gave a small chuckle as she thought about the concept."If only things were that easy." Athena didn't understand why she was giving her opinion to somebody who must have despised the bounty hunter for ruining her business. She probably didn't give a damn about what came out of Athena's mouth right now.

She chucked the apron into the lap of the disheartened cat as Athena's short temper resided. "Whatever, I don't care anymore. If you really want to be paid then you have to earn it Cookie. You're not just going to be a freeloader seeing as you must have some talent in the food business to attract all of those customers. I haven't had a good meal in forever. If you make some for me, I'm willing to pay you after jobs I've completed. So be a good chef." She explained as she picked up her helmet and placed it under her arm.

"If you want to grab a few things from this place before leaving, go ahead and do it now." The woman began as she walked over Ikolr's corpse and the pile of rubble that used to be a wall so she could make it outside. "I want get off this planet as soon as possible. My spaceship is in Bay 3 at the port. I'll be there. . .don't keep me waiting too long." Dorne explained as she threw her helmet back on. "Oh yeah, my name's Athena by the way. See you at the port!" She said as she activated her hover boots and ascended up into the air over the building. "What did you just do, Athena?" Ad nagged in her ear. "Nothing! I'll explain when we make it back to the Cardinal." She told the AI before taking off in the direction of the spaceport.

►▬▬▬◄ Maribel "Mare" Derson ►▬▬▬◄

Words had fallen from the hybrid's lips while eyes fell to the floor as the bounty hunter snapped back at her biting words and suggestions. Maybe she should have never said any word of agreement with this irritable person. Already Mare had bared claws in a manner that she never had before towards another living creature. What would become of her during her stay on Athena's vessel? Surely, the worst had been brought out in her just from the destruction of her home. Now she would be living under another's rule and doctrine of the place they called home. She thought, even if she was paid, she would still be a bond servant. Held to the fact that she had no where else in the galaxies to go nor any finances with which to even begin the thought of leaving with. These thoughts clouded her mind and heart thus keeping her from hearing the further biting comments about life from the Bounty Hunter.

Her ears only twitched and rose again when Athena agreed to the terms Mare had required with some terms of her own. Cooking would be her means for obtaining financial payment and possibly her room. Now she had to wonder what the bounty hunter would have wanted before now that asking for money had labeled her a freeloader. Maribel knew that by hybrid standards, she was considered attractive, but that never would have been on the table. She'd sooner die. Being the chef for the vessel in question was the only option and her only way of rebuilding her dream.

Before she could speak her mind, Athena had stated it would soon be time for them to leave and she was going ahead. Mare slowly pushed herself off the floor with pained groans and dripping blood. She waited until Athena was gone before walking over to her crumbled heap of an apron. With bitten lower lip and trembling hands, she ripped sections of the apron apart to make some bandages before soaking them in some of the alcohol that had fallen to the ground during the struggle. She started to pull away at some of the bigger shards of dishware. Lucky enough, it did not seem as if any of them hit anything essential and only made it in far enough to stick. Tears streamed down her face at the stink of the soaked bandages.

With her wounds mended, Maribel dragged herself towards her bedroom in the back to pack a small bag of clothing. Taking anything else from this place would just be a reminder of what she had lost; save for a picture she had taken the day she opened. That she removed from the frame and shoved into her coat pocket. She started to make her way out the door and stopped just long enough to shut the lights off and make a quick phone call. The phone rang through until it hit a video message center. In her final message, she instructed her most loyal customer and friend to come back to the place and watch over it until she returned with the means to repair it. She ended the message and took one final look at the destruction that lay before her eyes. Slam! She closed the door tightly to help stave off the tears in her eyes and she hopped onto her bike and made way for the ports.

Bay 3 was rather quiet as it was one of the private docks to be used. The only things to be found inside of the dome were Athena and her ship. Measuring seventy-nine meters wide and ninety-four meters long, the Cardinal was twenty-nine meters tall when resting on its four landing gear. The frontal hull of the corvette was curved at an angle that deflected enemy laser fire easily, and two sets of twin laser cannons were situated at either end of the bow, while the corvette's bridge located in the center between the ship's main running lights. The main body of the ship was roughly in the shape of a triangular figure-eight, with the rear of the ship sporting two access hatches on either side and the corvette's twin thrusters situated at the end of the vessel. The access hatches were situated on either side of the main conference room, with the sensor array and communications dish located on the exterior of the vessel above the conference room. The primary boarding ramp was located in the center of the corvette's lower hull and opened out beneath the ship's bridge. When she first purchased the cardinal, it was a a rust brown that nobody would want to be caught flying in. She then designed the vessel's color scheme of red and white to create a vessel that would inspire fear in the Legion's enemies and instantly announce her presence on battlefields across the galaxy.

Just thinking about all the features it had always made Dorne realize how much of a space enthusiast she was as she operated the cargo bay's lifting platform in her casual attire. Of course, she couldn't enjoy the sight of her ship as a voice bickered with her in her ear piece. "So we're going to have company aboard the ship now?" Ad rang in her ear as it tried to confirm what the Bounty Hunter explained to the AI on the way back from the Obrium. "That's what I've told you for the last forty-five minutes Ad. Why is this such a hard thing for an AI to understand. Aren't you supposed to be - Oh I don't know. . .intelligent!?" She teased as she loaded up the lift started elevating her cargo into the ship. "I am intelligent! But this is a first for you to be behaving like so. Not once since activating my programming have I witnessed you displaying any kind of kindness towards another being. This is an anomaly in my records." How blunt the voice was with her stabbed through her like she was some kind of scoundrel. She scoffed in annoyance as she was reminded how much she regretted purchasing such a rude little AI sometimes. "Wow, thanks Ad. "

"So what caused you to let her aboard the ship? My scans show you're going through a stage of mood swings ever since we exterminated Ikor. It starts right around the moment the hybrid appeared in the kitchen. You're levels of serotonin took a brief spike on first encounter before lowering at sight of her discomfort. In which you then tried to compromise to please her. " Ad continued with his questioning of his owner's behavior. Athena tried to ignore the question as she focused on the lift in silence. "I know you said you felt guilty for destroying the female's home. But when I put this on top of your recent displays of depression and irritability while travelling, it appears that you want the company. I also noticed a display in a rapid change of heart rate when you're visor was focused on her. The first thing to pop up when I put these results in are a case known as "a cru-" before the AI could finished, Athena disrupted the analysis by halting the lift abruptly.

"Ad, that's enough! You're reading too far into this." Athena shouted as her voice echoed within the dome structure of Bay 3. The sounds of machinery could be heard in the background as the rest of the port went on with it's flow of work within the other domes. She didn't want to hear the rest of this report of Ad's, despite that being one of the many reasons she bought Ad for in the first place. She just didn't want to hear that what she had feared was going on with her was actually occurring. Especially for somebody that had appeared to utterly despise her at the moment. She couldn't admit to herself that she felt a stir of attraction towards her soon to be shipmate. When she saw how much despair she had caused for a single person, their was something deep down that wanted to hug her. She was scared to show those kind of emotions to anyone again after already opening up to someone before and ending up being cast aside by said someone. "Just. . .just go offline for now Ad." Athena explained as she took the headpiece out and closed up the cargo bay.

She stood there with her arms crossed in disgust before walking over to the boarding ramp and taking a seat on it. Her life didn't have time for her to be such an emotional mess. "You're just trying to help her out. That's all you're doing Dorne." She told herself as she let out a huff trying to get rid of all these worries in her head. "Where the hell is she? No, try to act welcoming. . ."
