"Nice hit.." She winced, thankful for the shield, stumbling back slightly as she tried to get away. This time she gripped Aprulz tightly and went in to use the charge, only ending up not being able to fire it off correctly, "uh-oh.." Blue eyes widened and she tried to get back into a more defensive position.

Her attempts to defend were wise, but not all that successful: because this time, Lukas struck not just with one of his weapons but with both, in rapid succession, twisting as he did. The blows landed hard enough to sap away the worst of his anger and kindle something in his eyes. Pleased with himself, even if it was at her expense.

He certainly didn't apologize.

The impact of both weapons sent her to the ground, hard, and enough to have the wind knocked out of her. Even through the shield that was jarring, on a wince of one blue eye the other looked up to Lukas and she forced a smile to hide concern. It only then occurred to her that the man might be taking this a little too serious. But that was still ok, this was a spar right, maybe that's how fights worked?

Lilac wasn't sure but she didn't want to disappoint either so shuffling to her feet a little slowly she gripped Aprulz and took another swing at Lukas. Though tried to get him talking again, "wow, that was something, I'm a little jealous."

"I feel like maybe I'm getting the hang of this." At least the quick, decisive victory of his double attack helped sooth away some of that too-serious look on Lukas's face. He stepped back in the aftermath, drawing in a breath, and it was clear he didn't expect her to hit back quite so soon from the unguarded way he blinked at her, the way he watched her swing, and ducked just a little too slow --

So. Maybe he wasn't, not just yet.

"Fantastic! Me too." She was pleased he looked a little less out for blood, but didn't stop not a pause. Men had their pride issues and while she was perfectly fine letting him take the win by default, something told her that wouldn't sit well and she had better finish this spar out to the end. As Lukas dodged the attack, Lilac jumped back then flipped Aprulz around to jam the end of the weapon towards Lukas' gut.

As she hit him, this time, Lukas could feel the delicate state of his shield -- fragile around him -- and the butt of her weapon knocked all the breath out of him. In the back of his mind there was that quiet breath, a warning for him to drop his ego and call uncle. Even if he'd wanted to, though, at this point it was too late, because for the moment, he lacked the voice to form the words.

When the blow landed and the man looked like a deflated balloon Lilac knew it was time to throw in the towel. A step back and she placed Aprulz in front of her, just in case, before moving to make a time out hand gesture at Lukas. "Phew...I'm beat..what do you say we call it a draw?" She tried to smile as gently as she could while awaiting a reply. An itch to hug was barely suppressed for the moment.
