Eldrid had been really bored that evening.

There was so much you could do when you're stuck in the same room, every day, and you didn't have anything to do after your classes. This is where Eldrid was, laying on the concrete walkway that brought you to the monster dorms.

He had been banned from the grass - they were still trying to repair the Elly-sized burn mark he had left when he fell asleep once, and he was still trying to apologize - swearing that he had only closed his eyes for a moment. But, no, he was banned to the concrete (not that it wasn't difficult to burn also, but he figured easier to replace.

Sighing out loud, he hoped something would happen.

It was cold still and Hollandaise grumbled as she walked. Despite the cold, the warder had never graduated to pants or even longer dresses. Her arms at least sported arm armers, which may have originally been leg warmers at some point, but now they were held up by olive green ribbons tied at the top. She pulled at them irritably, toes curling against the concrete.

Hollandaise had just graduated her first year here and she didn't feel any different. Shouldn't she feel more... composed? Warder-like? Be stronger? Instead, she felt very, very small and very, very cold. She stretched out a hand towards the trees that lined the path. Normally, she had to touch plants to communicate with them, but maybe... Her eyes glowed and she concentrated, trying to reach the sleep-slow minds of wintering trees. She still walked on, frowning, head turned towards a particular dogwood.

thump

With a creaking cry, Hollandaise was falling as her feet caught on something in the path. No, not something, someone. It was warm, which garnered the thing some measure of forgiveness. But it still hurt as she feel and Hollandaise simply laid there for a moment, winded. Her hands tentatively moved to her leaves... Good, nothing broken.

"I do not recall a change in pavement at this location," she said disdainfully, although she still laid, supine, on the boil. It was entirely his fault. "Why are you here?"
