 During the Dwarves upheaval a wee one had gone missing. Kisukari, as she was known, took it in stride, however - traveling along the mountains until it became colder and colder still. Her small form was unused to such temperatures, and even the planes still seemed to carry a chill. It did not do much to dampen her bright spirits. The leotah shined on, even in these dark times, though she knew not that they were so dark, or well, darkening, upon the lands in which shed stumbled upon.
No, instead, she was carelessly chasing a large rodent, playing with her prey before making the final move, stalking it...for she had grown quite hungry, and it had been a while since last she ate.
It had also been a while since she had last seen anyone. Kisukari was a fairly social creature, and the lack of interaction did not go missed. In these times...companionship had become fleeting. A passing dream. It was in these times where the absence of camaraderie rang loud in her heart, that she turned her sights to finding a place to call home. Some place to stay and spread her good will and mirth and laughter. For a time the dwarves had filled that emptiness. That was behind her now. New opportunities await.
She pounced. |

The colony was a mess. Elisheba was out of commission for the moment and hadn't been outside of the royals' den for over two weeks. With the queen's pregnancy having weakened her already...The captain shook the ill thoughts from his head and trudged forward. He had already been close to the base of the mountain, where the rocks turned to grass and gave way to the plains where not only the colony by the dark forest lions hunted as well. Keeping a watchful eye was his job, but his mind was clouded and in a darker place than even he would have liked it to be.
Eduard, that b*****d who didn't deserve the throne was to blame for his woes at the moment, but until Elisheba recovered, there would be no justice dealt out for the traitor. For now, he was watched, guarded and kept from doing any further harm.
A low growl rumbled out of his throat as he continued his mindless walk. How long had it been since he had left the safety of Umsindisi? His paws stopepd and his trek came to an abrupt halt as he glanced around his surroundings. The last time he had ventured in the graying-teal grass, he had been attacked by two lions who claimed him to be a spy for another. Crazy as they had been, they had set his opinion of lions in stone. |

Even if he hadn't seen her, there was no doubt that the sound of the rodent's surprised squeals, and subsequent death, would have found its way to Barafu-taji's ears.
Kisukari, unaware of another's presence, stood tall with her prize and began a peppy lope across the grasses. She seemed an oblivious, completely serene and happy creature - hardly a threat to a large, seasoned leopard. Indeed, her form leaned more towards the slight nature of a cheetah making her appear more delicate, but there was no mistaking her half-blood heritage.
