Bleeding Ice and Carries the Night had themselves a rather magnificent clutch, and Ruriska and I would like to share that love and have put up the beautiful twins for grabs!
There is no naming theme as of yet, but your task, should you choose to accept it, is to do a naming dream for the twins. You may enter with someone else to take a shot at both of them or enter for one separately. It can be as silly or dire or dark as you'd like, in written, artistic or crafted format; you may enter with a partner with the first code, or enter singularly with the second code. Give us your best shot and gives these two babes home!
You have until January 31th, 8pm PST/11pm EST to enter. Good luck!

Usernames: Jynk & Archaeological Names: The Moon Is Drowning (Doe) | While I Sleep (Buck) Dream: The dream started as any other dream often does; slow to build and steady in its telling. We saw the glow beneath the still waters of the swamp and approached cautiously, so cautiously in our soft steps. Below the surface, the light was both bright and soft, calming despite the tense feeling of urgency hanging in the chilled air. We studied the sphere, exceedingly large and bafflingly small, that whispered to us. It called for help, trapped as it was below the swamp. This strange sphere gave off the only light in the night. The stars were blotted out and the moon has vanished from her perch high above. The bright sphere called again. We looked to each other, my sibling and I, to see if each had truly heard the soft whisper. We had. The whisper came again and again as the brightness beneath soon began to fade. What were we to do to pry the strange object from the mud that held it prisoner? Nothing. We could do nothing as we dreamt of the swamp holding its new bride captive below its stagnant surface. We stood on the bank, my sibling and I, and we watched helpless every night as the sphere continued to call for help. The stars remained hidden and the moon was still conspicuously absent of her throne. What could we do? Night after night, we watched. Night after night, we were helpless in her plight. What could we do, my sibling and I? The Moon Is Drowning While I Sleep What could be done?

Usernames: Araucana & Amizade Names: Broken Silence (Buck) & Awoken Lungs (Doe) Dream:Everything is dim and dull in deep sleep, no colour, no sound. Still and silent, they look over a land of stone, craters and crevices. It stretches out endlessly in every direction, a dark sky blanketed overhead.
They stare. They are weightless, breathless, helpless. Cracks creep to the surface, the stone breaking, brittle and old. The time is nearing. Their world is ending.
But then there was light, blue and bright.
It breaks their silence, awakens their lungs, but they’re cold, so very cold. The stone beneath is like ice and they can’t feel their feet. With ice in their veins, light in their eyes, they draw in their first and last shaken breath.
And then it’s gone, just like everything else.

Usernames: Barkchewer and Zempre Names: When Caimans Chase (Doe) Blood Ripples on the Water (Buck) Dream:
It started out normal enough. The sun was bright and the sky was clear. I looked at the world around me and it was beautiful; there was a gentle breeze blowing which caused the leaves to rustle lightly. There were birds chirping, butterflies flittering, and a sense of serenity. Slowly, my wandering eyes come to rest on a buck. He was strange, yet familiar to me all at the same time. I'm not sure how I knew, but as our eyes met we both knew that we were family; we were twins. With a peace surrounding me, I walked over to him. Not a word was said, but there was an understanding that passed between us. We began to walk, side by side, simply enjoying each others company. However, this peace wouldn't last.
The wind gradually began to pick up and the world around us became silent. I shivered as the sky started to darken and the temperature dropped; there was an ominous feeling in the air. The sky flashed brightly as a single bolt of lightning illuminated the now black sky and heavy clouds overhead. With the following crack of thunder the clouds opened up and an unnaturally heavy downpour started. Within seconds there were large puddles forming at our hooves. We searched for a place to take shelter on higher ground, but nothing could shield us from what was about to transpire.
The rain was torrential as my brother and I raced through the swamp seeking safety from the raging waters, but every way we turned our path was blocked by the rising flood. Soon, the waters pooled halfway up our legs and that was when they appeared. From out of the muddy water the caimans began to emerge; their eyes barely visible on the surface and easily missed as their skin blended in with the rising tide. Everywhere we looked we saw them. Their gaze was focused on us and followed our every move. Their jaws snapped loudly as they swam after us in anticipation of an easy meal.
Hungry. Hungry. Ripe. Young. FLESH!
The rain was never-ending as the waters continued to rise above our shoulders. There was no way we could out-swim them as the beasts began to encircle us; it was clear that our struggles were in vain. The murky waters rippled with every movement, my heart beating loud and fast within my ears, echoing every drop of rain. My breathing was ragged and my chest heavy with fear. Completely surrounded, my brother and I put our backs to each other so that we could watch the caimans; their eyes already hungrily devouring our flesh.
Hungry. Hungry. Ripe. Young. FLESH!
The caimans were waiting patiently for the right moment to strike. I don't know how much time passed. Minutes. Hours. It's hard to say, as the water continued to rise, our hooves no longer touching the ground that was so far below us; we are forced to tread water to keep our heads above the surface. Forebodingly, they waited for our strength to fade, for us to weaken, so that there would be no struggle; No fight for our lives. Slowly, a caiman came forward with a deep, rumbling growl. We could hear the hissing and growling much clearer as more showed up and the circle tightened. The sound was almost deafening.
HUNGRY! HUNGRY! RIPE! YOUNG! FLESH!!!
As the one came within striking distance, my brother threw his body against mine to swing me out of the way, just as the caiman's jaws clamped shut with a loud bang on the spot where I had just been. But my brother didn't escape unscathed and his blood began to ripple on the water. Smelling the blood, the rest of the caimans were thrown into a frenzy, and in an instant they were upon us all at once. Violent splashing, jaws snapping, and suddenly my brother vanished from sight as he was dragged beneath the water's surface. Frantically, I looked to see if he would resurface and suddenly everything went dark as I too was dragged beneath the freezing waters. Shocked, I tried to call for help, air escaping my lungs as water quickly rushed in to take its place. I was dragged further and further down.
Engulfed....
Suffocating....
Drowning....
The last thing we heard was the whispering in our ears... When Caimans Chase Blood Ripples on The Water.

Winner Announcement
First of all I would like to thank everyone who entered. You certainly didn’t make it easy on us, as each entry was amazing and we spent a lot of time deliberating, flipping tables, the usual. So thank you for all your time and effort, we wish we had a set of twins for all of you! <3
But a winner there must be and we’ve decided to award the pretty twosome to Araucana & Amizade. Once the rest of the family have names, we’ll put them all down for certing!
