Ayako was bubbling over with energy. She had received permission from her father to take Morrigan on a small excursion to learn the intricacies of how to hunt. It had become very obvious early on that all three of her siblings had a few quirks about them. Ayako was more than happy to give her parents some alone time with their other children. The mare sighed before craning her neck around to check on Morrigan's progress through the forest. Her sister's strange wings seemed to snag on most branches. Ayako chuckled softly to herself before she gave a soft sigh. "Hurry up Morr," she spoke loudly enough for her sister to hear, "and try to move quieter through the forest. You are scaring all the game away."

Morrigan scowled around her weapon as once again her wings snagged on a branch, causing the spindly twigs to snap off. She was becoming irritated with the amount of debris that kept smacking her in the face as well. She had been excited at first to go out with her older sister on a hunt but had she known the difficultly in which she was having moving through the forest there might have been a change in her attitude. At Ayako's words Morrigan huffed silently and tucked her wings tighter against her body. That was seemingly the only thing that she could do to prevent more potential twigs from slapping her in her face. Her scowl could have frightened anyone else but not Ayako. Her sister knew her too well. Her eyes caught sight of Ayako up further ahead and she attempted to catch up. "Ayako, wait. You can't leave me behind."

At first the sounds of a creature snuffling around in the foliage was almost drowned out by her sister's attempt to catch up to her. Ayako pinpointed the direction it which she had caught the sounds coming from before opening up her left wing in an silent signal to Morrigan to stop moving around. Her blade was clenched tightly in her mouth as she scanned the near horizon. The idea of this exercise was to let Morrigan take the initiative to make the kill. Ayako's role today was that of moral support. She could already hunt and she wished to let Morrigan feel that rush of power one achieved when bringing down prey. Ayako's gaze narrowed as she felt Morrigan's body brush against her own. With silence she pointed out the area the noises were coming from. Ayako stepped aside to allow Morrigan full access to her first potential kill.

Morrigan's breathing was evening out as she approached her sister's still form. Ayako had held up a wing to indicate silence and as she brushed her sister's side used it to point out rustling movement on the ground nearby. Morrigan narrowed her gaze to peer intently at the sounds that her ears were catching. They swiveled to catch the sound before she caught sight of the noisy culprit. The head of a large rabbit had emerged from the shadows and Morrigan inhaled sharply. Her sister stood aside to let her pass as this was her hunt. Morrigan crept forward in slow motion. Surprise would need to be on her side if she wanted a chance of success.
