*Some bro time with his pirate buddy Treasure Hunter
Treasure Hunter woke up before the calling of a rooster. He quietly got out of his bed and poked his head outside his cabin room, scanning the long wooden hallway. No phony in sight. It seems like the rest of the crew did not wake up yet. "Arr. Perfect," he said, smiling to himself.
He went back inside and came out with a dented metal bucket and carried a small torchlight/flashlight along with him just so that he won't start running into things, or tripping over things in the dark.
He sneaked his way over to the staircase, past all the cabins, and walked up to the upper deck. The open air smelled fresh with a hint of ocean. Nugget was asleep on top of a barrel. He didn't want any phony to know what he is up to and quickly left the ship. His little hooves tried not to make loud clops as he walked down the dock and into the muddy forest path.
Over by the trees near the sea water, he started digging into the wet soil. After a few times of digging, he found what he was looking for and scooped a few of the wriggly pink worms into his bucket and ran back toward the ship. Little muddy hoofprints made a trail all the way to the dock.
When he was near the railing closer to the sea, his hooves were clean of mud. He placed the bucket with worms between two apple cider barrels and went back downstairs. He was headed straight towards JR's cabin, very excited. He knocked twice, letting the unicorn know that someone was outside, and let himself inside.
"Jolly Roger! Jolly Roger!" he whispered, "Don't tell me ye have forgotten already." He walked towards the bed where the stallion was sleeping and whispered again, this time it was much louder than the first. "Jolly Roger. Wake up."

Jolly Roger made a sound. It was probably, ‘aye’, judging by his frequent use of the word, but it came out as more of a garbled grunt. He rolled over and snorted something else, one blue eye opening and staring at Treasure Hunter past his long (and right now incredibly messy) long hair. "Aye," he managed to get the word out properly but struggled with what followed, "nt forget, m’wake, comin’ now lad." The pirate sat up and yawned. He had actually completely forgotten but figured he'd work out what they were doing sooner or later.

Treasure Hunter was used to his crew mate making weird sounds in the morning. He nudged him again as he saw him roll over trying to get up. JR's hair reminded him of a used dry mop at the moment and he couldn't contain his laughter.
"Ye know, if you take any longer ta get up, mate, the others will wake."
He walked up to the table and took the stallion's eyepatch, twirling it a few times with his hoof and eventually handed it over to JR. "Come on, hurry. I'll start and wait for ye on deck. "
The little colt bounced around in the room before disappearing out of the cabin.

Jolly Roger rolled off his bed once the colt had bounced out. He splashed water on his face from a bucket in the corner and put on the eye-patch, adjusting it until it was comfortable. It took a bit longer to tame his hair. Not that a pirate should be concerned with how his hair looked but it would be preferable not to have it tangled up like a bird nest. Awake and ready to face the day, the pirate made his way up on deck and looked once again upon the deck of his darling The Flirty Mermaid. As gorgeous as ever. "Treasure Hunter! Ready, lad? Did you get us any bait for the day?"

Treasure Hunter had cast out a line as he played around with his fishing rod, tugging it to the right and pulling it back as the floaty bobbed around in the water. Their rods were the old ghetto ones with metal rings just to secure the fishing line in place. Theirs were not the the fancy styles with a reel or bait-cast that you could buy in the stores. However, their floaties contained of different shapes and sizes. Some were bright and some were dull in colour.
He turned around just in time to see JR walk across the deck. "Aarrr, hurry JR!" he shouted and scooted over in case his mate decided to sit beside him. "There's fresh bait over there! I caught them this morning while you were sleeping," and pointed with his hoof at the dented bucket full of dirt and pink earthworms near his feet. "I have already cast my line. Ye need to push the hook through the worm." He grinned because he can not remember if JR liked doing that sort of stuff.
TH's scarf flapped around in the wind while his hair covered up half his face as he soaked up the morning sun. He was really excited to catch some fresh fish out of the waters.

“All set, aye,” Jolly Roger said, mouth twitching into an approving smile. He sat down beside Treasure Hunter and took up his line, stoically (and inwardly wincing) he baited the line with the worm. It wriggled desperately on the hook but was soon sent on a magical journey into the water, where it’s flailing would hopefully attract some big fish. “Shall we make a wager?”

TH snickered out loud and started to laugh out loud. He knew it. But he just had to see it with his own pair of eyes. His matey was indeed a bit squirmish when it comes to hooking worms. Being together for so long, he knew this unicorn was just putting on an act to look cool.
His crooked smile seeped out as he heard JR mention about a wager. What pirate doesn't like to gamble?
The little pirate scooted closer to his crew member and swung a leg around his neck, pulling him even closer. "A wager? Why Jolly Roger! What you want to bet on? To bet with?"
Treasure Hunter;s eyes sparkled as he stared at JR, eagerly waiting on him to say what he wanted to hear.

Jolly Roger hadn’t expected Treasure Hunter to get this excited and he almost felt like a let down when all he said was, “whoever catches the biggest fish doesn’t have to do cleaning duty tomorrow.” He had to admit, it was very pirate-y but it had been the spur of the moment idea.

His face lit up. Not having to clean is always a good wager to bet with. He never liked scrubbing the poopdeck but there are only just the few of them on this ship. And he was too cheap to hire a cleaner.
Treasure Hunter rubbed his hooves together. "The biggest fish? Like, anything I can catch in the waters?" He asked
To catch a mer or a whale seemed impossible and the little colt stared over the railing. Just what would he need to catch to beat JR with?
Ruriska sorry bout yesterday, was already in bed when you ok'd for thread rp. Imma zzz after this lol.
