The expression on his face looks like he's thinking "What... what's going on? Why is there water coming from the sky? How...?!"

Is it flooding where you are at or just a lot of rain?

I know that areas are flooding. But California is big.

Well, we got a "flood warning". Like hey, it could flood but we dunno.

My bro down in SoCal reports that he has no rain. So yeah. Like you say. Big place. But the Bay Area is soaked. xd

On our way back down from college this evening, my boyfriend and I stopped briefly into a McDonald's for dinner and we sat directly under the TV as they were showing the flooding in California. My first thought was "Ohhh...THAT'S what Z was talking about" (I'd seen this thread earlier), and then they showed these two guys kayaking through their flooded neighborhood and giving each other a high-five with their paddles, and I just instantly pictured you doing that. xd Haha

How often does it rain where you're at? I know it's not a huge amount.

Yuuup. Waterskiiers too. And the surfers are out in force.

Though, we've had a few road/freeway closures. Thankfully I didn't have to go anywhere today, and hubbie's commute wasn't effected.

But it's definitely a little wetter than we're used to. xd

I mean... it's been raining for some 18 hours straight to my knowledge. o_O

Yeah. When I was younger it used to rain more/more often, but we've been in a sort of drought situation for quite awhile (read as: several years).

I'm poking around online and the average rainfall for San Jose is 15 inches. This two-day storm is providing somewhere between 3-5 of those inches. So a fifth or a third of what we'll get all year. xd

I'm in southern California too and my town didn't have rain until today. Lol. It's so chilly and wet outside!

It's been pretty windy around here lately. Second wind storm we've had within the past month or so, meaning more trees and limbs came down throughout the nearby cities and town and plenty of power outages to keep people on their feet.

Hm, I wonder if any of your storm came over here to us? On Friday night/Saturday morning we got a lot of rain. Oddly enough it wasn't snow which it ought to have been because Salt Lake City in winter, but at least it was some precipitation I guess? *shrugs*
