It was a lovely late afternoon upon the floating isle of Azreth. In the quiet twilight, Sandar Lake was almost aglow with the setting sun, shimmering hot pinks and dashing oranges over its glossy surface, That is if you stood on the proper side. The trees that cradled the lake on one side making deep dark shadows across the lake like a tiger pelt of fading colors. Standing on the shore of the lake, watching the sun set is Aura Pristine. A lovely pastel sight in the setting hues. She loved the twilight hours, but it wasn't the colors that spoke to her so loudly, It was the shadows. To her, it was watching the daily conflict of light and dark and she waited for the dark to consume and overtake as it always does. In a way it was a reflection of her, in another, it was growing lonely. She was rarely in one place for too long, but this place, no matter where her faithful and beautiful wings took her, was where she always returned every late afternoon. Her heart sank slowly as the sun did, with that bitter and lonely feeling. Another night coming, another night under the stars spent alone as it had been sense she could remember. She stood there, still and poised as her own shadow, the silhouette of her became longer across the ground. Her paws lightly digging in her claws into the smooth pebbles around them, as the lake slowly grew still.
Her thoughts milled through ideas of the future. Will she ever be a mother? COULD she ever be? What stallion would she want? would she want one at all? All she knew was the void. The one inside that had always been there that she filled with darker desires. Unlike the way she looked, her outside being most deceiving, she was a predator. Dark pink eyes with slitted pupils, claws and an enjoyment of meat meant she was very different than most of her kind, and nightfall that was coming, calling with crickets would bring her prey and the cover of night, for her colors made it very difficult to hunt during the day.
