History:
Many years ago lived a pride that put all their females as slaves. As slaves these females were mistreated on many different levels. They weren't treated like they were equals. They would be bred, give birth, and as soon as the cubs were weened, they would be put to work until they could be bred again. Any lioness that said anything about it, or tried to run, would be put to death as an example.
This went on for many years. A pair of lionesses were born, sisters. They grew up getting hit, talked down to and naturally, bred. Upon their third years of existing, the elder one decided to gather a small group of slaves and run away. They slipped out of the pride in the dead of night with as much silence and bravery as they could muster.
Days went by and they left their desert pride and into a thick, lush forest that smelled heavily of flowers and rain. They didn't stop for nearly a full moon cycle. That's when they stumbled upon a land between a mountain and a river. The eldest sister decided this would be a good place to at least rest and try to get themselves used to the fact they were on their own. They had thought they were successful in getting away from their slavers and couldn't help but be happy about it.
They were happy, in fact, until the day one of the lionesses spotted someone from the old pride. Her master had sent a hunting party after them to get them back, where the whole group would be made an example of and killed in front of the whole pride.
Not wanting to go back, the two sisters gathered the strongest of the group and set off to where the slavers had been spotted. A bloody battle ensued. Both sides lost members, but in the end, the lionesses proved to be the victors. Not a single member from that hunting party survived.
The lionesses that survived went back to the other lionesses and together, they decided to make this place their permanent home. Every year the Queen goes to visit the place the battle took place, and every year there seemed to be more and more wild flowers growing and blooming.
Beliefs:
This is a pride based around a matriarch - ruled by a queen and run by the daughters born in to the pride. The core belief of this is the ability to bear children - and having the power to do so, which elevates females in regard. Due to this, females tend to have tighter bonds and hierarchies together.
These bonds that form make it an oddity if a lioness settles with just one mate. It's normal for females and males to have flings with other lions in and out of the pride. Due to the open relationships, it is up to the mother, or eldest daughter to pass down titles and roles.
Males are encouraged to breed, but they have duties as well. They make up the military, the protection of the pride. Males will never hold a position of power other than consort, if they're so chosen. Even then the consort holds no actual power, it is just a title. Males are hunters, guards, bards and etc. The common ranks are open to both genders.
Breedings:
-- Adolescents and Adults can breed
-- Females can rogue breed
-- Surrogates are allowed
-- Lions only, no hybrids

Personality: Waeyn is a rather feminine lioness, though don't get her wrong, she is very strong and is not afraid to put down her own morals and rules in something. If she has a problem, she is not afraid to say it and the only one who has rule over her is her Queen. Waeyn is a larger lioness, and very dark, so many see her as rather intimidating when angry. The only thing that can soften this female is Nisrine and her own cubs (someday -bats eyes-). However, if she lays claim to a male for a long term relationship and you challenge her for the object of her affections: Be ready for a battle.
At times Waeyn can be hot headed but she only means well and is very adamant on courses of actions often. If her Queen gives her an order Waeyn will do what it takes to make sure the action is done and over with. To completely fail her Queen would also be the end of Waeyn.

History:
Waeyn was born outside of the pride to a large family of boys. Now, most think that she was looked at as an underling and that she was just like her older brothers and littermate brothers but this is wrong. Waeyn was born the largest of her litter, and grew to be the strongest of her entire family. When their mother left the pride to pass on alone Waeyn was looked at for some sort of leadership amoung the family pride. She picked up to lead the family pride until her brothers began to find ladies, only becoming an adult after her father's life came to an end.
She left the area to find her calling, stumbling upon Nisrine obviously on her search.
