"Whaddaya mean I can't ride!?"
Classic Crooner stomped his hoof, while the ferris wheel operator looked at him with bored, glazed over eyes. This wasn't the first kid to yell at him today, and it certainly wouldn't be the last.
"Look kid, I told you before; you're too short to ride." He indicated the height chart; the red line was above the Flutter's head by a good six or seven inches.
Crooner glared at the operator. "And I say I gots me a ticket to ride this ride, so I'm gonna ride it!" He tried to duck under the operator's hoof, but the older phony was too quick for him. He caught the foal around the middle, and tossed him away from the now extensive line forming behind him.
"Come back when you grow a bit!" He called, and the line began to move.
Crooner got up off his rump and grumbled, rubbing his back end and sniffing.

Walking along, not really paying much mind to anything, Sprinkles bounced along humming to herself and frankly having a marvelous time. She LOVED living in a theme park, there was a never ending supply of confectionary treats to keep her happy and plump. The rides were just sort of a bonus, but Sprinkles enjoyed those too, if she wasn’t too busy trying to go to every single food vendor before they closed down for the day. The squishy looking pegasus became distracted by the sound of sniffle. Turning her bright, large eyes to the small flutter, Sprinkles came up to him. “Why so glum chum? Turn that frown upside down!” She said while grinning with her own booming bright smile.

Crooner looked up, and saw what he originally thought was a talking balloon. But upon second look, it turned out to be a real live phony with VERY wide eyes.
"I-i can't." he said cautiously, taken aback by her enthusiasm. "They..told me I'm too little to ride the ferris wheel." his face turned glum, and his antenna drooped.

"Really? You're not that small. That's too bad though. " Sprinkles started to chew on a corn dog she had purchased. She stood there, staring unblinkingly at blue flutter until she finished her treat, which was amazingly fast. Then she smiled even wider "I KNOW. WHAT IF... you had an adult with you!"

"Do you...uhm....blink?" Her constant gaze was freaking him out. It definitely jarred him out of his sadness.
"An..adult?" You know, he hadn't thought of that. If he had someone Old Enough with him, the guy would have to let him ride!
"I guess..yeah, that could work!" he exclaimed, jumping to his hooves.

"Blink? You know, I don't know if I'm tried." Blinks one eye and then other, resulting in awkward winking. "I'll have to practice!" "But yeah, and adult. I'm sure that's all you need, is someone to ride with you and make sure you don't fall out or something! You just need someone big.... big... big..." Sprinkles looked around to see if a necessary adult was near. Then it seemed to hit her. "HEY! I'm big! Well. Kind of. Big enough in all the ways that count. I could go with you, if you want."

He stared at her open-mouthed as she tried to consciously blink. He wondered is she was hit on the head at some point in her foalhood.
Though that thought was driven out by the fact that she offered to go with him. "Oh wouldja really?!" he said, buzzing happily a few inches off the ground. "That's real swell of you!" He started to hover toward the ferris wheel. It was just finishing it's latest run, and the line hadn't grown too long yet.
"C'mon then....say, what's your name anyway?" he asked. "I'm Classic Crooner, but most folks just call me Crooner."

Sprinkles happily lept in the air too, Crooner's joy infecting Sprinkles. She todded after him to join him in the line up for the Ferris wheel. "Crooner. That's a cool name. I bet you're a real ladies man. I'm Sprinkles! " Sprinkles made an odd hoove movement, miming the action of tossing sprinkles onto a cake or cookie. "Like on cookies, or doughnuts." The purpley pegasus watched the line of the Ferris wheel move until they were the very next in line. "Eeee, how exciting!"

The foal smiled a sheepish smile. "Well, I wouldn't say I'm a ladies man all the time. he said, puffing out his chest ever so slightly.
"Sprinkles huh? Well, it's nice to meet ya." They were at the gate now, and the operator looked at him with an air of exasperation.
"C'mon kid, I told you that you're too short to ride!"

"But Mister Ride Man! I'm here as his companion. I'll be riding with him, isn't that okay? He's too small on his own, but with me? Pretty, pretty please, with sprinkles on top?" The pegasus gave him another wide eyed stare, batting her eye lashes followed by an obvious wink.

The operator gave Sprinkles a once over, and sighed. How this kid managed to find an adult was beyond him, but the rules were rules..
"Alright, you guys can go on. Ticket please." Crooner handed him a ticket and jumped into the ferris wheel cab. He was grinning from ear to ear.
"You too." he said, waiting for Sprinkles to present him with a ticket.

"A ticket? " Sprinkles looked obviously confused. While she did love the park, she usually spent the majority of her money on cotton candy, pizza, pretzels, and snow cones. It never actually occured to her that she would need to go buy some tickets to go on the ride with Crooner. "Um... I guess I don't have any? But how about a smile for the ride?" She beamed her brightest smile.

With a shake of his head, the operator sighed. "Sorry miss, you gotta use a ticket to get on. No ticket, no ride."
Crooner took a step out of the cab, hearing that Sprinkles couldn't ride. Did that mean he couldn't ride either? Oh geez, this wasn't good.
As the operator turned to tell him to get out of the cab, a ticket was thrust in his face.
"Here." Crooner said, lowering himself to the ground. "She can take this one." That ticket was originally saved for the roller coaster. He was going to go on it next. But Sprinkles was taking time out of her day to make sure that he got to ride the ferris wheel. She was giving something to him, so it was only right that he do the same.
"Climb in Sprinkles!" he called, re-taking his seat in the cab. "The rides gonna start soon!"

Sprinkles couldn’t help but giggle at the shocked expression the operator had when the ticket was thrust into his face. Cheerily she bounded up to the ferris wheel’s cab to take her place. Then with a wave , she blew a kiss to the operator. “I’ll see you on the way down.” Next she turned to Crooner, ready for the ride to start. “That was real sweet of you. Now we can definitely enjoy this thing together. "

Crooner laughed as the operator smiled and shook his head again. Some customers just confused him.
The cab door closed and they started their upward journey, pausing to let others into the other cabs. They were already so high up!
"I think this is a lot better with someone else around to share it with." Crooner said, gazing out the window at the park below. He tore his eyes away to smile at Sprinkles. "Thanks for helping me get up here. There's no way I could fly this high!"
