It was a fairly sunny afternoon and Willow Wisp was lazily laying in the park on the grass. She was watching the clouds, for no particular reason other than amusement at their shapes. Tired of her position, the brown unicorn rolled from her back to her belly, with her gaze adverted to the grass. She was about to move again, when a shimmer caught her eye. Moving to investigate, Wisp got up and walked over to the shimmery patch of grass. Parting the grass, she found what looked like half an ordinary rock. But rock had been cracked open to reveal magnificent pale purple crystal formations. Wisp grinned with glee at the find. Things that shimmered and shined were some of her favorite things. Quickly, she used her unicorn magic to place the geode into her saddlebag.

Rock Sugar was having a decently fine day. He spent the morning going through his rock collection, organizing it and taking notes. He had stuffed a few rocks into his saddle bag before leaving the house. The foal was on his way to a store that carried a small selection of rocks but decided to stop by the park. He loved the park because there were plenty of rocks and the best part was that they were free! There were also shells there too and other interesting things to collect. The little foal had been all over the park and was taking a break, looking through his stuff when he noticed something. One of his favorite geode's was missing. He knew that he had packed it, so where was it. Rock jumped up, packed the few things he had taken out of his bag back in and ran off. Where could the geode be?

Wisp was going to go back to lazing in the sun and watching the world go by, when she saw something else of interest go by: A purple unicorn with what looked like crystals growing out of his back. The brown unicorn felt like she had seen that somewhere before… but not entirely sure of whether she really or only thought she had, Wisp watched with amusement as the purple babben seemed to be looking for something. Slowly, Wisp approached. “Are you alright? “

Rock Sugar didn't even realize that there was someone near by until he heard their voice. The foal blushed slightly at the site of a mare lazing under a tree, who asked him about what he was doing. It took him a few moments to regain his voice, embarrassed by his situation. "I'm fine. Well, a bit upset but I'll be better once I find it." Oh gosh, he was rambling already. It didn't cross his mind that he didn't say what he was upset about though as he continued to scan the area while stopped.

"Upset? What for?" Wisp tipped her head curiously as he said he'd be better once he found it. "Have you lost something? Or are you only hoping to find something?" Having no idea what it was that Rock was looking for, Wisp was eager to help out. Generally, she was keen to help other but doubly so when it was helping another mutant-y phony. The mare smoothed out the grass in front of her, and saw nothing but grass, then turned her eyes to the sky to see if there was anything in the tree branches above. "Is it something important that you're looking for? Is it is bigger than a breadbox?" She moved to toward the tree's trunk, and standing on her hindlegs tried to peer into a knotty hole; there was nothing there but cobwebs.

He was overreacting some when he said he'd be better once the geode was found. Rock nodded. "Yeah, I lost something, and it could be anywhere in the park..." The little foal was very grateful this mare was offering to help look and was already helping. He thought about it for a moment. "Smaller than a breadbox. Oh, by the way, I'm Rock Sugar." Looking down, he started to pat the ground as well.

“I’m Willow Wisp.” The mare turned and smiled gently at the purple unicorn, her fangs poking out just so. She poked around in the grass, looked behind tree roots, but she could not find anything that seemed important. Then again, all she had to go on was that it was smaller than a breadbox. Pausing her search, she asked, “So Rock… what is it we’re looking for anyways?”

"It's nice to meet you!" It was that moment Rock took a good look at the mare that was helping him look and he was pleasantly surprised. She had odd mutations like him! Wisp's didn't seem as ... apparent as his own though. The foal flushed slightly at the question. He had totally forgotten to tell her what it was he was looking for! How that didn't cross his mind earlier escaped him. "Oh, well, I lost a rock." The hard part was, the fact that he had a lot of rocks and he was having a hard time remembering which it was exactly. "The outside of it grey but it's got stuff in it"

"A rock?" Wisp was a little confused at first, curious as to why a rock would be of value if it perhaps looked just any other rock. Then she heard the clarification, it was a special sort of rock after all. As it happened, she had come across something very much like that. "Would it have shimmery crystal bits growing inside of it...?" Wisp used her unicorn magic and pulled the geode she had found earlier out of her saddle bag. She bit her lip a little as she looked at it. It was extremely pretty, and not being that familiar with rocks or crystals, it was the first one she had ever seen like it. The brown mare was quite enamored with it. "Like this one?.... I found it over in the field there and was going to take it home. Its such a nice color. But if it belongs to you, I'm happy to return it to you."

Rock perked up. "Oh! Yeah it's got purple crystals in it." Did she see something like it before maybe? Then out of her bag a geode appeared. It looked just like the one he had lost earlier. "Yes that is it! " The foal looked from Wisp to the geode a few times. She looked so joyed over the geode, not that she had found it but like she enjoyed it. In truth he had quite a few geode's at home and even more amazing ones... "You know what. You can keep it, I have the other half of it at home already."

Wisp was a little shocked to hear the announcement that she could keep the sparkly geode. Shocked, however very pleased with the idea. She couldn’t help but smile at the foal’s offer. “But you were looking for hard for it! Are you absolutely sure I can have this? You won't miss this half at all?”

Seeing Wisp smile made him happy and he knew it was the right choice. Sure rocks and crystals made him happy but this feeling of generosity was an even better feeling! "I think I was only meant to have it for a short time, to help it to its rightful home." This half of the geode was the better looking of the two but it just seemed right to share it with the mare. "I am absolutely sure! Be sure to put it in a place where light can hit it, cool colors will shine off of it."

Ecstatic about the gift, Wisp quickly put the geode into her bag and promptly gave the small purple unicorn a hug. "Thank you so much! I will be sure to do just that. If there's ever something I can do for you, don't hesitate to let me know." She mare couldn't help but keep smiling. elvyralani we can probably leave it here, unless you want to cap it off with something smile

"You are very welcome! Same, if you ever want to know more about rocks just let me know." Making a friend and helping them was the best way this day could have turned out. With that the foal started on his way home.
