Kyrieko Dark Side: The mare could not deny her love of forests! They were magnificent and held such a strange beauty. Especially at night, when the sun had set and the stars twinkled through the tree tops. Dark Side smiled up at the stars, enjoying her explorations. Each night she wondered in a new direction, though always making sure to return to the area she'd begun to think of as 'home'.
Ryuukishin While Dark Side may have been fond of forests, Bacillus was not. Well, at the moment, at least. His scarves had gained a life of their own it seemed; they'd wrapped around his lantern and refused to let go, and he'd been trying to free them since dusk. It was a difficult task: the lantern was placed above his chest, where he could not so easily reach it. Attempts had resulted in him walking backwards into a tree, a river, and a squirrel. The last one had been quite an experience for both of them.
Now, night had fallen, and he gulped at the thought of spending the time in the dark. He wasn't afraid -- of course not. Only, he'd grown up around flames all his life, and it was strange now to be without a light source. Checking to make sure nothing was behind him, he tried to free his lantern once more.
Kyrieko Dark Side had found a harassed looking squirrel, who had been dead set on running for its life to the tallest tree it could find. She had frowned at the odd behavior, wondering what had spooked the little guy so much. Her ears had alerted her to the soft chatter of birds not too far ahead, and it was them that directed her towards the source of commotion this evening. At first, she wasn't sure what she was looking for. But when she saw a strange flash of something and a creature stumbling around, well. The mare may have overreacted. Much like the squirrel.
There was a (loud) startled sound that escaped the purple mare as her eyes widened at the... 'ghost'. It really was the only word she could find to use. With the eerie glow that kept flickering about it and the awkward movements?! Normally a much more graceful creature herself, Sidi found herself backing right up between two trees and getting a little... stuck. "P-Please don't eat me!" She squeaked out. Because that was what ghosts did, right? Ate the living? Or something like that? Maybe she was getting her lore mixed up...
Ryuukishin Ah, the night was young, and already so full of promise. On top of Dark Side's surprised shriek was Bacillus' own. He opened his wings quickly, without thinking, and with a few efficient strokes had managed to ram himself straight into a tree. For a moment, the only reply Dark Side's pleas received was a foreboding thump, and then a groan.
"W-who's there?!" he managed to say, rising to his feet. He swayed as stars burst behind his eyes, but he did his best to look large and intimidating (that is, he squinted very hard in the voice’s general direction). |
