Paige didn't attack but moved into a more defensive position - after all, when she'd gotten to close last time Cee had knocked her on her a**.

"Are you babyin me?" Her forehead actually creased with an edge of genuine annoyance. It wasn't directed at Paige specifically but losing all these matches was getting kind of old.

She still mentally blamed Snap.

Her next lashes bounced harmlessly off of Paige's defense and the cutesy, playful bombshell seemed to slowly turn into a tiny ball of rage.

That explanation at least softened her brow, but Cee's mouth set into a hard line still. Thankfully the rage was well focused and she finally landed a solid shot.

That got a small smile out of her.

Paige grinned. That was more like it.

She swung Harle again, low against Cee's hip.

The hit was hard and she could feel the familiar brittleness in her FEAR sheild.. and for the first time she simply stopped and held her arms up in defense ans the whips disappeared

..the boot hitting her in the ribs sending her unconscious across the lawn.. laughing fun turned to silence and dark...

It was a surprising moment, the instinctive flinch. She didn't want to go back to the infirmary again. Cee knew logically she couldn't be hurt here within the wards but apparently mentally she wasn't quite ready yet. Not after the broken ribs and the days laid up.

Concetta forced her facade now, laughing easily, "Ok ok.. done.. I give girl." She pushed it all away and winked, "You got me."

Paige immediately returned Harle to his totem form, the necklace a welcome weight around her neck.

"No sense in beating the s**t out of one another, you know?" She crossed her arms over her chest and squinted at Cee.

"Now I gotta decide exactly what I want."

Paige gave Cee a cheeky grin.

"Might take a while to decide. There's a lotta options."

She was thankful Paige hadn't noticed her flinch, or if she did she hadn't mentioned it. Cee shook it off, shaking her shoulders a bit and straightening up. She almost power walked to the other's side, away from the sparring area.

Other distractions were better.

"s**t.." Cee's hands looped gently around one of Paige's arms and she cast her an innocent pout, the same one from the phone pic the other night. "Should I be worried?"
