The familiar high pitched jingle notified Isidro of the received contract, and he thought nothing of it. Expecting an insignificant amount of money, and some scrap items, Isidro peered down prepared to reject immediately. But he was taken aback. It couldn't possibly read twelve million credits! He didn't even have to read the rest of the items to understand the power Kevin held over him now. But this only made him angry. "What is this!" Isidro demanded of the wealthy boy. "Some cruel joke you're playing on me?" But Kevin had already walked away to make camp. With an anguished sigh, Isidro brushed away the contract momentarily. Clearly Isidro was the fool now, but he wasn't stupid enough to just accept any old contract thrown in his face. He could be signing away his life for all he knew.
Isidro was intrigued nevertheless, and he marched his way over to Kevin's little camp site. He said nothing to Kevin's offer, and just helped himself to a large portion of the stew. "I'm not a merc. You know that right?" His voice was much softer than it had been earlier now that they were in a relaxed setting. Just as Isidro prepared to chow down, he was rudely reminded that there was another mouth to feed. Bo nipped at Isidro's ear, and this caused the man to scowl momentarily. Scanning through his inventory, he selected some little biscuits and held them out in his hand for Bo to eat. His food could wait. There was business to attend to anyways.

Isidro was taken aback by Kevin's response. He clearly elicited a very emotional response from the boy, and it made him feel quite guilty. For a while Isidro said nothing really, and he just took in Kevin's words. Plus, Isidro didn't really want to inquire as to who the person who died was. He figured that would be a conversation for later. And he didn't quite want to hear about the death of another player, it made him uneasy.
Still without words, Isidro opened up his menu, and selected the contract. With slight hesitation, the man selected agree. Between the money, a tad of guilt, and his interest in the boy, Isidro decided to take Kevin up on his offer. It had been some time since he'd had a traveling partner anyways. Isidro followed it up with sending a party invitation to Kevin. They were going to travel together after all.
"Your welcome." Was all Isidro said, with a cocky little wink. With that he finally lifted his spoon to his mouth to take a bite. Though, he had no idea the stew was spicy. Isidro hated spicy foods, and his face clearly displayed it. The man quickly spat the stew out onto the ground, and frantically searched through his inventory for water, which he eventually drowned his mouth in.

Isidro had just finished cooling his mouth down from the stew incident, and Kevin had already darted off at some monster in the bushes. Now that they were in a party together, Isidro was able to monitor Kevin's health bar. Something that he'd have to get used to doing. Isidro decided not to aid Kevin in defeating the monster, but he remained alert, with his hand resting on his sword.
When Kevin handed him the meet, he gladly took it. Isidro was starving, and the stew just wouldn't cut it. "Yea..." Isidro said quite unenthusiastically. "To partners." With that, the man teared into the meat. It didn't take him long to devour it, and he made certain to lick the bone clean.
"Thanks. I really needed that." Isidro finally said. And it was pretty good too. Had Isidro fed himself, it wouldn't nearly have been as delicious. "That sword you showed me earlier..." Isidro began, "Did you make it?" He wanted to inquire more about the sword, but didn't want to express to much interest. It had been on his mind, and he really wanted it.

The man picked up the blade from Kevin's hand, and ran his hand gently along it. It was a beautiful sword. One of the most magnificent one's he'd ever held. "This is a powerful weapon." He stated. "You must be a pretty good blacksmith. Why don' t you use it?" Isidro toyed around with it for a moment, feeling its weight. Everything about it seemed to fit his preferences. It was a two-handed sword, and very quick and light.
After he finished inspecting the blade, he noticed Bo was near Kevin. Isidro scowled when Kevin offered Bo a treat, but he tried to hide it at first. He didn't like when others tried to pet, or feed his ferret. There was only one thing that he treasured in the world of SAO, and it was his companion. Isidro knew he couldn't afford treats that were as pricey as the ones Kevin was trying to feed Bo, and he was merely afraid that Bo would like Kevin better. He simply wouldn't allow that. Isidro clicked his tongue twice, in a more commanding way, and Bo reluctantly returned to Isidro's shoulders. "He's had enough to eat for tonight." Isidro snapped unhappily at Kevin.

Isidro accepted the recipe, and gave the sword back to Kevin. He looked it over, and put it in his inventory. He didn't say anything though, not even a simple 'thank you.' Isidro could get easily jealous, and he wanted to send the message that Bo was his friend.
The man sighed, and watched as Kevin laid down to go to sleep. "Goodnight..." Isidro said softly, probably not even loud enough for Kevin to hear. Isidro then laid out a sleeping bag as well, and he slipped in. Bo scampered in, licked Isidro on the nose, and then fell asleep next to his face. Isidro lay awake for some time, thinking, and watching the stars. Maybe running into Kevin was just what he needed? He promised himself that he'd make a greater effort towards friendship the next day.

Isidro was hardly an early waker. In fact, he was probably one of the deepest sleepers around. He hardly stirred at the noises Kevin made as he prepared breakfast. But eventually he woke up but much after the food had been prepared. Isidro lifted his head from the ground and looked around groggily. His hair was in a wild red mop above his head, with some strands sticking straight up into the air.
It didn't take long for the aromas of food to hit him. "Is that, fish?" Isidro inquired, his voice hoarse and low from the morning. It had been forever since Isidro had eaten fish. And he loved it so much. Coming from a fishing village, it was pretty much an entire food group. In real life, he was a fantastic fisherman. But for some reason in SAO, no matter how much he tried, Isidro could not catch any fish. So this was a rare commodity.
The man scrambled out of his sleeping back, and sat cross legged on the ground. Like before every meal, Isidro made certain to feed Bo first. So he placed some food in a bowl on the ground next to him for the equally sleepy ferret to eat. With that he devoured the entire plate of food. "Oh my god. What is your cooking level? This is amazing!" Isidro exclaimed with a mouth full, finally perking up. "And you can fish too?"
