[PRP] A Start (Basha x Seolfr)

Basha was making an easy transition into the new pack. She hadn't realized it but she had missed pack life. Of course Tangambili was different the her old home. This pack seemed for the most part to stay awake during the day. It did however feel just as much like home as Peke'Na ever had. It helped of course that her parents were both with her and one of her siblings and soon she would have new little siblings running around has her mom was close to birthing a new litter.

Now the one thing Basha needed was friends, it was nice to have her family but she wanted more. She of course was getting close to the age where one might take on a mate, but Basha didn't think she was there yet. She would be happy simply to have a few close friends.

Seolfor was enjoying himself today. It was nice weather, windy with a bit of a n** in the regularly morning chill. He was returning to the core of the pack after having made his regular morning rounds and checking the traps he had set for intruders. Pleased after having found them empty he took a jolly stride in his step and was humming to himself in pleasure.

Usually after his rounds Seo would sit in a corner of his own, wallowing in boredom and with a need for new excitement. But today he was on a mission. A specific mission that only he could succeed in completing. See, It had occurred to him a few nights prior that he hadn't many friends in the pack. This was a bit of problem since the pack wasn't all that big to begin with. Though, he had escorted a few rogues to the pack safely and some of them even joined! It was always exciting when new people joined.

So today Seol was out on the hunt to recruit himself some friends. "Friends, friends, friends." He hummed to himself. Having spotted another wild dog he abruptly stopped in his tracks, paused for a moment and then put on a big friendly face. "Good morning!" He sung.

Basha had heard the silverly wild dog before she could see him. He was humming to himself it would seem, it sounded like friends but it was kind of quite and hard to make out. It didn't seem like he was saying it to anyone other then himself.

The silver male seemed quite friendly and Basha was very excited when he stopped and started talking to her. Perhaps he could be her first friend. The pack seemed friendly enough but she hadn't managed to get to know anyone, she had been sticking so close to her mother who was expecting and Basha hadn't seen her in so long.

"Hello" Basha answered excitedly. "My name is Basha. It's very nice to meet you." Basha was very excited to meet someone new but she kind of failed at social interaction, she had never had the need to make friends in her old pack she had so many siblings around her all of the time that she was never short of playmates.

"I'm Seolfor." He continued to grin in pleasure. "It's nice to meet you too!" He cried with a laugh. Seol couldn't help it he was just a big bundle of happiness this fine morning.

He had hardly waited even a few seconds before asking the female questions as they formed along his tongue. "Are you cold? Wait, wait, restart. I meant are you new?" He spoke quickly, one might question how he was able to breath with all his fast-paced talk. "If your new I'll tell you now, it get's sort of cold around here." He nodded to this as if to confirm it. "Good thing we have artisans though, if can't stand the cold they'll make you something warm to wear!"

He still held the cheeky smile from earlier upon his features. "Or are you a visitor? If so, same thing applies!"

Basha giggled a little at the males rapid succession of questions. He was like her very excitable, Basha wasn't raddled though she enjoyed the attention and the chance to make a new friend.

"I'm not cold not really, I was blessed with a thick coat. I am new. Its good to know it gets cold. And no I am not a visitor, I just joined the pack with my father. My momma and sister were already here we just found them. We were separated from them for a long time, I'm very happy we have found them now." She answered all his question and gave him some additional info all in one very quick breath.

She offered a shy smile, "What about you? Do you have family here?" she asked him keen to learn more about the silver male.

Seol gave a cheeky grin as Basha answered his questions. He was pleased she had responded and even more excited that his quest for a friend was going well. A newcomer or not, she was part of the part and thus Seol was one step closer to actually having connections here.

Tilting his head he hummed slightly while pondering how to respond. "No." He shook his head. "My family are gone, poof, vanished over night. Mom and my brother that is. Then it was just me and dad." Seolfor loved his family, but he could never forget how they all eventually abandon him. "Dad stayed with me for a while but then he left as well. Now it's just me, all alone!" Oddly, he seemed gleeful about this. In Seolfor's mind it was a positive outcome. They had left because he was ready to be a grown up, not because he had annoyed them away.

"So yep. Just me. I'm a Sentry now." He laughed.

Seolfer's story was a sad one, or at least it made Basha sad. It had only been her and her sister in her litter and she couldn't imagine life without her parents and sister. She was sad that she didn't have her half siblings around like she use to. "That sounds lonely." she said finally a hint of sadness in her voice.

"But now you have the pack!" she said happy again realizing that Seolfer had a whole new family here in the pack, and if she had any say in it she would be his friend, friends were just as good as any family. They were family that you got to pick.

"A sentry sounds like a fun job, I'm afraid I would be no good at it. Besides my heart is in healing, specially when I get to help with litters of pups." she said a smile growing on her lips, the thought of pups warmed her heart.

"Hmm. Yes." He said to her. "Lonely sounds right. But fun is more like it. Fun and lonely can be good together sometimes." He wasn't sure how to explain his reasoning of that to her. He was never good at explaining his theories, mostly because none of them made sense.

"Yes!" He exclaimed again at her mention of now having the pack. "Now you have the pack too! Now we're not-so-lonely people right?" He laughed in joy, it was fun talking to new people.

"Healing is a good job, but I'm no good at that!" Seolfor laughed. "It takes too long to learn for me. But I'm glad some people know how to heal." That was mainly because he himself was often found hurt. Running into trees and falling into your own pit traps often had an injuring affect.

"I suppose it does take a lot to learn. But I have been learning it since I was a pup, my mom is the Patron here in the pack. She has been showing me things since I was a wee little thing." Basha had spent her life caring about others and nothing had changed as she got older.

"Tell you what Seolfor, if you ever feel lonely you should find me. I can always keep you company!" she chirped brightly, she hated the idea of the silver male ever feeling alone. She had come from such a large family Basha wasn't sure she'd ever felt lonely exactly.

"Really?" Seolfor cocked his head to the left in amusement and curiosity of her offer. "Good! Same thing goes for you, but with me. I mean, uh. Reverse roles, and that's how it all works!" Even he wasn't sure if that sentence made remotely any sense. He had been trying harder as of the late to make more sense, yet this seemed to be a failed effort given certain circumstances. He always reverted to speaking in a manner that he didn't allow his tongue to shoot out words as fast as his mind could think them.

He then turned his head in the direction of two other wild dogs passing by. "Friends." He said. "We're friends now, yes? I have to go make more friends too, then all friends can have a big party together!" He laughed in joy at this spontaneous idea.

"Now I have to go make more of those friends. So I'll see you later Basha!" He then took his leave, skipping joyfully as he did. "Friends, friends, friends. Making more friends~" His encounter with Basha had overall, made Seolfor's day much more improved.

Bashsa laughed lightly "Yes we are friend now." she said. There was a lightness in her voice she too was pleased that she had made a new friend.

"I will see you later." she called after the male as he walked away. She watched him go as he skipped away. She liked the amount of energy the male had. It made her happy that she had made such an outgoing energetic friend.
