"So, I'm still confused, why couldn't you have just put me in a hotel in town?" the young man questioned, head laid back against the leather interior of his Mercedes Benz. His deep brown eyes watched the beautiful scene outside. It was 5pm and already the sun had begun to set just a little. The bright orange sky left a breathless silhouette of the trees and forests along the highway. "For the last time, I'm going on a business trip and I'm not leaving you alone in the city." his father said, sipping casually on a tall glass of some Italian wine.
"Yeah, just so you know, I'm 18." he informed before resting his chin on his fist against the door. "I'm not an idiot, Andrew. But I do know that you're gonna be piss drunk at 3am in the casino's with a bunch of dirty hookers by your side." Andrew chuckled, a soft smile spreading across his face. 'He knows me all too well.' he thought.
The rest of the ride was dull and solemn, no words exchanged between them and no more complaints coming from Andrew. They were already 3/4s so he couldn't complain any more. They were now in the middle of nowhere; or as Andrew thought. The only thing civilization they saw were a few small country houses and barns aside farms. Now that he thought of it, he missed the bright lights of the city. The hype and constant noise of cars beeping and chattering of people is what he lived in since he was a child and now anything that was even remotely different in the slightest ways made him feel uncivilized. Talk about pretentious but he couldn't help it. His father was part of a big named car company and his mother a surgeon. Now his left was spent in well-tailored suits and - now that he was 18 - drinking fine wines and champagnes. All of this and now, he has to live in a stinking barn.

As soon as he stepped out, his face twisted in disgust. His oxford shoes crunched against the dirt and sand and he cursed mentally, mumbling incoherent words like 'There goes $300 in the garbage'. "Eugh, I haven't been in the countryside since elementary" his father grumbled, also effected by the odd atmosphere. Their driver, Wilson, followed behind them, Andrews luggage filling his hands.
"It smells like a dying raccoon in a sewer mixed in with crap." Andrew grumbled, hand cupping his nose and mouth. Surprisingly though, the country house that he was staying at was fairly big compared to the ones he's seen while on the road. That fact alone made him feel just a little better. The three of them walked up the wooden porch where his father knocked on the door which held a sign saying 'Home Is Where The Heart Is" engraved in a wine wood. Andrew sneered, a little put off by how 'homey' this place felt. Completely different than what his modern house was like. He heard the sound of the door unlocking and it swung open revealing a bearded man with a pipe dangling from his lips. "Heey!" they both howled in unison before giving each other a pat on the back. "It's been a while since we've seen each other?" His father said happily, stepping into the home. Andrew rolled his eyes; he knew this was going to be a long journey.

Gah! I don't know if my character is okay for this, but I really wanted to play him? And sorry for the kind of late post, as soon as I preview my coding screwed up and I needed to fix it =.=

The day had been full of its usual routines. He was always busy doing something, whether it was in the barn, stables, or just out in the fields. Being on a farm wasn't too bad. He could help his parents with growing the crops, cleaning and feeding the animals, then making sure the barn is clean. His mother was usually indoors cooking and cleaning while Travis and his father were always outdoors. Well, Travis was more outdoors than his father. His father was getting older in age and unable to do as much as he used to be able to do.
Travis was in the barn when the guests arrived, so he was unaware that they were coming. He was simply doing his own thing. He was cleaning up the stalls that the cows were in and making sure they had food before he went to the stables and checked on the horses. His favorite horse was named Jest. Short for Majestic of course. The horse was a beautiful white color with black spots, literally like a dalmation dog. Travis ran his hand along her neck and he nodded gently. "Good girl." He let out softly, patting her neck before he went to sweeping the area up. He bit his lower lip. This took a little while, but soon he was finished. He fixed the hat on his head before he placed the broom back where it was and he made his way towards the house.

The shirtless male entered through the back door. He was toned and good looking for a country boy, even had a gorgeous smile. "Hey mom, dad, I finished everything up for the day." The sweaty male soon entered the room where their guests were and he paused, his attention shifting from the father to Andrew. "Ah... Who is this?" He let out, raising a brow. His father let out a hearty laugh, "Well, this is an old friend. We used to go to high school together and this is his son Andrew. He will be staying with us while his father is away. So be a gentleman and show him to the extra room upstairs." His father let out. Travis stood there for a moment, trying to let things run through his mind before he grunted. "Fine. Come on." He motioned Andrew to follow. He wasn't going to carry the male's luggage, why? Well, obvious reasons. He was a male, not a female. He walked up the stairs and down the hall. There were a couple doors upstairs, one lead to a bathroom, one was the extra bedroom, one was Travis' room, then the other was an extra room for whatever they put in it.

The young man looked around wordlessly. The place looked so authentic and... different. He's seen places like these in movies, but never in real life. Everything was either made up of wood or some cheap-looking dark steel and the appliances were like nothing he's ever seen. There were knitted quilts on rocking chairs, a small fireplace stocked up with freshly chopped wood, deer heads mounted upon the walls and basically everything that Andrew himself would never have in his own home. The place reeked of sawdust and homemade food that Andrew had to admit, felt kind of nice. He had been only in there for a few moments but his home in the city was cold and modern while this place was warm and inviting. He wondered how treacherous is must be living in a place where everything was handmade. Oh how he pitied them.

His father and the man had been conversation for quite some time when he heard a pair of footsteps come from the back. "Hey mom, dad, I finished everything up for the day." Andrew was still observing the place with a sharp eye but he glanced curiously at who it was. A shirtless male came into view, golden-brown hair gleaming with his charming smile. Andrew couldn't believe his was thinking this but, he was good looking even for a man not wearing a suit! "Ah... who's this?" the man questioned, glancing from his father to himself. The old man, whom Andrew suspected was the male's father, responded with a brief explanation before requesting him to show him to his room upstairs. "Fine, come on. he motioned.

Andrew smiled slightly before turning back.
"Thanks Wilson, I'll take it from here. And see you, Dad." he nodded, taking his leather trunk suitcase and other bags away from him. Andrew followed behind him, not missing to continue to look around the place in awe. They both walked up the stairs down a narrow hall to a room which he expected was his room. He let out a breath of satisfaction, thanking God that his room wasn't as awful as he had expected. It looked kind of like a lodge room, most of the furnishings out of cedar and pine and a bed in the centre of the room which was fairly small in his opinion. But regardless, it was something he could work with. He put down his belongings and turned to the man "Pleasure to meet you, sir. I'm Andrew, Andrew Lancaster." he smiled, holding his arm for a handshake. All his meetings were like this; simple, eloquent and professional to impress any of his fathers co-workers.

Travis knew his home was not one of the common city folk, but hell, it was his home. He grew used to the way it looked. It was beautiful to him and he wouldn't deny the fact that he wanted a house like this when he moved out, if he did. He might just take over this farm when his parents passed. He would just have to have his family live here. The country boy exhaled as he stopped at Andrew's room and opened the door, motioning him to enter. He would admit it verbally, but Andrew was a good looking city boy, but he definitely seemed like the type of guy that was rather stuck up, maybe preppy and cared about how much his clothing was. He didn't want to be rude, so he wouldn't say anything about it, he would just let Andrew do his own thing of course.

He watched the male enter the room and his blue eyes watched Andrew as he placed his things down. He had his arms crossed over his chest when Andrew turned towards him and introduced himself. Travis dropped his arms to his sides and nodded his head and extended his hand towards Andrew's hand. "Pleasure to meet you as well Andrew. I am Travis Ramone." He smiled that gorgeous smile he had. He was showing off his pearly white teeth that were perfectly aligned. He gave a firm shake to Andrew's hand before releasing his hand. He had no problem meeting someone this way of course, it probably didn't help that he was all sweaty and shirtless either. The male cleared his throat. "Ah, make yourself comfortable. I should... Go clean myself up." He let out. His voice had that Southern accent to it that made his voice rather charming.

Travis let out a soft breath and he backed up before turning and heading to his room, which was across the hallway. He rummaged through the handcrafted dresser and pulled out some comfortable clothing to wear and then he made his way to the bathroom. He closed the door behind him, taking off his hat and he turned on the shower. He placed his clean clothes on the counter and then he undressed and hopped in the shower. He took a ten minute shower, quick and enough to make sure he cleaned himself well. When finished, he dried off with the towel and got dressed in the boxers, gray sweats, and tank top he picked out. It was enough to work with for the night. His hair was damp, but that didn't stop him from putting his hat on before he left the bathroom.

The other man clasped his hand firmly while showing a dazzling smile. "Pleasure to meet you as well Andrew. I am Travis Ramone." he informed, shaking his hand. Andrew nodded, before releasing his grip. "Ah, make yourself comfortable. I should... Go clean myself up." Travis said, backing up. "Yeah go ahead, I'll take a shower too. Y'know, test it all out." He chuckled, hoping he didn't sound overly pompous. Travis walked out of the room and Andrew closed the door behind him before he immediately began to unpack.

He placed all his dress shirts into the drawers provided as well as his pants, socks, underwear, belts and placed his different pairs of leather shoes underneath the bed. He really didn't own anything casual; the only thing relative to 'casual' were his silk pajama pants that he wore alone to bed. At home his torso was always bare whenever he slept but for the sake of being in someone else's place, he brought a crimson robe handmade and shipped from India. He then begun thinking about how different this new lifestyle was really going to be. 'If I had a wild shock just from seeing the living room, I'm in for a surprise when I see the stables and farm.' he thought, placing his watches into the nightstand aside his bed.

Getting up with a sigh, Andrew undressed before grabbing a few towels and walked into the bathroom.
"You've got to be kidding me..." he mumbled to himself, leaning against the door frame in defeat. His washroom was tiny. Not just that, but the shower was revolting. It was a walk in shower but it was covered by a pathetic looking shower curtain and the tiles were cracking. The shower head and sink seemed to be rusting slightly and the jaundice light made it all seem more unappealing. He looped the tower on the rack attached to the wall and stepped into the shower, wincing that his bare feet were touching the disgusting tiles. Andrew slowly turned on the shower to the warmest temperature but was instantly greeted by a blast of cold water. "SHIT!" he accidentally exclaimed out loud, face twisted in disgust as he fumbled with the knobs attached to the shower. He shivered, goosebumps raising all over his skin as he shoved the shower curtain away, swearing to himself as he wrapped the bathroom towel around him.

This was not going to be a place he would stay at for more than a week, he thought.

Travis headed downstairs and spoke to his parents, Andrew's father and the other guy was already gone, so it was his family and Andrew. Travis didn't know what to think of the new male being around, but he might just have to shrug it off and deal with it. Hell, an extra hand to work, if Andrew could handle that. After talking to his parents, he decided he was going to run upstairs and get socks and his boots on before heading outside, which was getting pretty dark. One great thing about being out in the country was a beautiful night sky that had stars clear as day and millions of them!

Travis headed upstairs and was going to his room when he heard the sudden word "s**t" come from Andrew's room. He instantly smirked, "Ah, must've met the shower." He snickered to himself and he entered his room, putting on some socks and then he put on his boots. He moved to Andrew's door and knocked firmly before cracking the door enough to speak, "Hey, uh... Andrew~ When you get in the shower let the water run for a moment before you get in!" He said loud enough to be heard, he was sure of that then he chuckled to himself and closed the door, heading downstairs. He soon walked out the front door and he sat on the front porch and he sat on the stairs. His attention was up at the sky and he bit his lower lip. It was a gorgeous night.

Andrew looked around and he heard barking in the distance. He brought his fingers to his lips and whistled, soon a dog approached, "There ya are Max. I wondered where ya went." He smirked as he scratched the dog behind his ears and he looked out at the empty land in front of him. The farm he lived on was huge and there weren't many houses, that was the downfall to living out here. You didn't get to meet many people and it took hours just to get to a city to actually see people. Hence, the reason he was home schooled by his mother.

[[ ooc ;; Mhm, he is a gorgeous man and an amazing actor <3 This took forever ._. I feel bad when I make you or anyone wait haha ]]

Andrew's eyebrows furrowed as he tried to dry himself off with the small towel given to him. He heard a couple of knocks on his bedroom door before hearing a voice slightly muffled. "Hey, uh... Andrew~ When you get in the shower let the water run for a moment before you get in!" the person said loudly. He figured it was Travis and sneered, wiping down his hair. "Yeah, thanks for the reminder." he said solemnly, pissed at how their shower worked. He knew it was gonna be bad here, but hygiene was a huge importance to him and thinking about having to be in that shower for who knows how long, quite frankly it made him very homesick. In California, his shower was hot the second Andrew turned to knob. In fact, he had such a strong preference for his hot water that he'd refuse to take a shower in a guests house if it was too cold then he'd go to a hotel where it was warmer. Every time he stepped out of the shower, his skin was all red and the entire room would steam up.

He concluded that he was finished for taking a shower, reminding himself that he did take one this morning anyways. He slipped on some underwear before applying deodorant and putting on his silk pyjama pants. 'Hell, I am NOT staying here' he thought, draping his tower on the rack for it to dry. Tomorrow, he decided, that he would re-pack all his things and call for a cab, and head straight for a hotel without his father knowing. He had money and was lingering the feeling of cleanliness. Just by standing in that house, it made him feel like a dirty old farmer.

With a deep sigh, he switched off the lights and blew out the candles before jumping on his bed. As soon as his body made contact with it, he let out a groan and shifted around wildly. It felt as though he was on a mattress of wood; just with a few layers of blankets laid out on top. He grabbed extra pillows and laid them out under him for a good 10 minutes until he found a comfortable position. And still, he couldn't sleep because it was so stinking hot! 'Do they even have air conditioning?' he questioned, averting his gaze to the open window. Yup, Andrew was defenitely leaving tomorrow.

Travis was outside for a little while, simply enjoying the night sky. Things were quiet, there was a random cricket doing its little song like usual, but that was common. The area was grassy and there were cool places they could hide out, probably damp places for other little bugs too. Travis sat on the front porch with Max for a while before he got up and he started to walk around the house, heading towards the backyard. Max barked at him and ran ahead. Travis smirked, "Shh, Max." He let out, knowing his parents were going to bed, or so he thought. Travis was up late and woke up early, most of the time, normal people sleep early and wake early, but he wasn't like that. He had grown so used to falling asleep when he could and waking up when the sun was rising. It was just how he did things and he was able to function properly with the little sleep, so he couldn't complain.

Travis winced as the back light was turned on and it sort of blinded him. He saw his father step out and the two spoke for a little while. The conversations that Travis had with his dad were always nice, definitely a good father-son bonding moment for them. "So, why did he turn to you?" Travis questioned as he threw a ball when it was brought to him by Max and he watched the dog chase after it. "Well, we were friends in high school and he had nobody else to go to... Since, I hadn't moved, he dropped by with his son. I always offered our home to him for visitation and if he needed anything, never thought he would've actually needed anything." His father explained with a soft laugh.

Travis nodded while listening. "Yeah, I don't think Andrew will last here. He is probably used to the way things are set up in the city." Travis stated with a roll of his eyes. "City folk are rather annoying I've noticed." He stated and listened to his father laugh. "Watch what you say son, these city folk do have ears." He pointed up to the open window. Travis smirked and shrugged, "I'm not worried about it. I will tell it straight to his face if I wanted to." Travis didn't mind telling someone what he thought. "Ah... Anyways, I think I am going to go to my room." Travis let out, whistling for Max. Soon, they headed inside and turned off the back light before Travis and Max headed upstairs and to his room. Travis took off his tank top, boots, socks, and his hat, placing them on his dresser. He cracked his door and moved to the bed, climbing into it with Max curling up on the bed at his side.

A sudden bright light blinded his closed eyes causing the male to groan deeply and shift around the mound of pillows and blankets. He slept underneath all the linens but awoke with it covered up to his neck. The morning was slightly more chillier, he noticed. His back ached and shoulders felt sore from the bed, but surprisingly he slept through it all from the hushed noises of the crickets and breeze out from the window. After a few moments, he got up eyes still firmly shut and he yawned, stretching his arms and arching his back. Andrew managed to hop off his bed with a thump and shuffled his feet slowly to the washroom still half-asleep and rubbing at his eyes with a fist. He woke himself up with a splash of cold water and brushed his teeth, groggily staring at his face in the mirror.

Once he was more awake, he looked outside the window smiling at the beautiful scene outside. It was quiet and peaceful and also the day he was leaving!
"Can't wait to get out of here." he smirked, engulfed in the suns warmth. He buttoned up a simple striped dress shirt and a pair of black trousers before slipping on socks and leather brown shoes. It was still quite early and there were no noises coming from downstairs so he took the time to repack all of his belongings back into his suitcase, replacing stacks of clothes into the compartments. He had to admit, it was nice for one night to experience this type of living but after all, this wasn't the place for him. So he shrugged it off and after 15 minutes he opened the door to walk downstairs and see what was going on.

There was Travis's father sitting at the table, sipping a coffee alone while he saw a figure of what seemed like his mother knitting outside on the porch. Breakfast was all laid out on the tablecloth, fried eggs, bacon, toast, grits, and basically an entire mini buffet spread out. It made Andrew's mouth water since he had a small dinner last night.
"Good morning, Mr. Ramone." he greeted, nodding his head slightly once they met eyes. "Mornin' Andrew! Gorgeous day isn't it?" he said heartily in a southern drawl, motioning him to sit down. Andrew smiled brightly, taking a seat from across the man. "Dig in and eat all you like. Say, how'd you like your sleep?" he asked, elbow casually placed on top of the table.

Andrew's face began to fall a little remembering last nights events but he forced it up, smiling as he scooped some scrambled eggs onto his plate.
"Was great! Hearing the crickets and night is nice to hear after being used to the sound of cars." he chuckled before remembering to tell him that he was going to leave. His father nodded cheerfully, taking a long sip from his red mug. "By the way, I'm sorry to say but I think I'll actually be leaving this morning." he informed, feeling quite guilty already. "What? Leavin' so soon already. What's the problem?" he questioned, seeming more concerned. "It's just that I don't think I can live here for such a long time while my father is gone. I miss the city and the city misses me." he explained, trying to sound as least rude as possible.

Travis woke up early that morning and was already started on the morning routine, he was always up early. He wore on a pair of jeans, a polo shirt that was red and white plaid that had the sleeves rolled up halfway, his cowboy boots, and the hat. He was outside at the barn to collect the eggs, when he brought them back, his mother had gotten to the cooking breakfast like usual. The male headed outside while she cooked and played with his dog, Max. The male fixed the hat on his head as he spent time with his pet, which was more or less considered his best friend, other than his horse. He was a male who did not care to have a social life, he had a lot of work on the farm to do, he didn't need any distractions of course.

Travis entered the house when Andrew spoke about how he was going to leave. The country boy instantly smirked. He saw this coming, of course Andrew couldn't make it in this enviornment. Sure, it was pretty stuffy in the house, the sounds and smells could get annoying, the uncomfortable bedding, weird showers... Yeah, he understood. Though, he grew to love it, this was his home. He grew up here, but Andrew would never make it. He figured Andrew would have broke, though this quick was almost surprising to the cowboy. Of course, he didn't necessarily care. He knew Andrew wouldn't have the strength to live out here with them while his father was away. Oh no, he had to go and stay in luxurious hotels probably that were four to five stars most likely. Ugh, stuck up rich folk.

Travis laughed some and shook his head, "Ah, you don't even manage a full twenty four hours and you are already done." He rolled his eyes, speaking in his southern accent. He moved to the table and he got himself some breakfast before sitting down. He took a bite of bacon before his eyes traveled over to Andrew. He eyed the city boy before rolling his eyes. "Don't worry dad. He just cannot handle living out here, it is that simple." He let out. Though his father shot him a glare, "Travis, hush up now." He let out. Travis snickered a bit and shrugged his shoulders. Well, it was true. If Andrew was able to tolerate it, he wouldn't want to leave so early!

"Oh please. This rich boy couldn't last out here. He couldn't handle sleeping in an uncomfortable bed or doing the work I do." He let out before he looked at his father. He grinned and then looked back at Andrew, "Am I correct on this matter?" He questioned, "Or will you deny it because you think you are right?" He huffed out. Travis had no problem speaking his mind. "I know this boy wouldn't be able to last while his father was away. I just never figured it would have been this soon." He scoffed, "Pathetic." He mumbled under his breath before shaking his head and he grabbed his spoon, stirring his grits. "Andrew here is probably upset because we are not some five star hotel that he would prefer. Nah, we like the country scene to where everything is peaceful. Maybe it is all that city pollution that got to his head. Made it fuzzy and difficult to work through." He grinned and shrugged. "Meaning he is hard-headed and rather stuck up." He stated as he took a bite of his grits.

Andrew spooned himself another bite of scrambled eggs when he heard a shuffle coming from the back door. "Ah, you don't even manage a full twenty four hours and you are already done." he heard a man say, followed by a laugh. He turned his head, lips parted in surprise when he heard that insult coming from Travis. 'Who does he think he is? Does he even know who I am? I run a very successful business and much more wealthy than his entire petty life.' he thought, eyes gazing over the blonde. Travis slid into a chair ever so casually and scooped himself some breakfast. He didn't even know what to say, he just wordlessly glared at him from across the table.

The table was silent, the sound of birds chirping filling in the awkward gaps but regardless, Travis still shot back at Andrew ruthlessly. "Don't worry dad. He just cannot handle living out here, it is that simple." he stated, rolling his eyes. His father glared at him before telling him to quiet down. But Andrew wasn't having any of this, he wouldn't let someone like this pathetic country boy put him down.
"Sorry if I offended in you in anyway. But really, living out here kind of feels uncivilized." he chuckled, making a strong emphasis on the last word. He sounded as if he was making light of the conversation but in reality, Travis and him were having a duel with words. "Oh please. This rich boy couldn't last out here. He couldn't handle sleeping in an uncomfortable bed or doing the work I do." Travis let out, grinning before glancing back at Andrew. "Am I correct on this matter? Or will you deny it because you think you are right?"

Andrew looked up at him, eyes slightly squinted, jaw tense and knuckles white from gripping the fork too hard. Obviously, Travis had no trouble speaking his mind and couldn't contain his feeble little self from drowning Andrew in worthless insults.
"Oh, don't go on about how living your country lifestyle makes you all that better." Andrew said simply, containing himself from lashing out. "Because in the end of the day, I'm still making more money than you, darling." he said slyly, watching the boy bite into his bacon.
Travis scoffed and Andrew swore he could hear him mumble 'Pathetic' under his breath. He went on and on about how Andrew would much rather be at a 5 star hotel and something about the city pollution all while grinning and casually stirring at his grits. That's when Andrew had enough.

"Sorry for preferring sophistication and living in fine luxury, but really, let's think realistically." he paused, taking a sip from his coffee. "You let those words pass your lips but have you ever even been inside a 5 star hotel? Or were you so fascinated by it's cleanliness that you passed out? Truth be told, my way of living dominates your country lifestyle." he said, leaning back on the chair with a faint snicker. He then remembered Travis saying how he couldn't work like he did. "You think I can't work the farm like you can, but I can. You act like a man wearing a suit can't pick up a rusty hoe." . Something about that made him feel anxious as it left his lips. In all of honestly, he's never worked a farm before but he did know that he was fit enough to do it. But his massive ego had to be protected.
