Farkas watched the lioness as she steeled herself for the upcoming battle, a grin showing on his face - she was ready to put it all on the line - and he liked those who came at him as if they had everything to lose. Planting his paws down against the ground, he anticipated the blow.
She was quick - and lithe, and it took the wolves' son off guard for a moment, a rumble emitting from his throat as she took a swipe at his stomach, turning a little to slowly and feeling the blow immediately. Holding his own, he continued to circle until he was looking over her again, going to swipe down at her, hoping to put some distance between them, so she couldn't try to do anything more in quick succession.

The growl from his throat seemed like thunder in the heat of the battle. She managed to land the hit, but before she could pass him to get in position to launch another attack, he circled tightly and a swipe from his heavy paw caught her on her back, knocking her paws out from under her for an instant.
She bit her tongue from the blow, and spit out the blood. This was what all her training and the past battles were for, what they led up to. She'd make this next hit harder, she'd make it count. With the power behind his attacks, she couldn't withstand it too long, she figured.
Gathering her paws under her and springing forward, she took another swipe, this time at his face. Maybe she could hit an eye with her paw pad and temporarily blind him. Or maybe an ear and throw him off balance. He was big, but she was quick, and another advantage for one or the other could decide the fight.

She was crafty in the way that she moved, and it was something that he would have to commandeer her about. Almost frustrating, how lithe this lioness was, dancing with Farkas like it was nothing. He almost regretted when she started bleeding from the mouth - an unseen wound that he had scored without lifting a paw. Figuratively.
She had caught him thinking, though, and without warning, she had lunged in to his face, an open offense to take his eyes out - or something to that effect. Twisting in a unprepared way, he took most of the attack, his head whipping back as fast as it could in recoil, eyes blinking at the feeling of being accosted.
He was out for this round, trying to recover as fast as he could.

Normally his height was an advantage for battling, but he had one pretty strong fl -- okay two strong flaws, but one of them didn't matter here. Mainly, it was speed - little flighty creatures were hard for him to keep an eye on, and harder to fight with.
Feeling the pressure of her lithe little body jumping out at him, her lunge hit in him in a strange position, which made the Reaver fall over, bouncing a couple times on the ground before trying to catch himself again, roaring loudly and swiping out at her, trying to connect something.
