The Assassin of Chaos

Twudderbutt

Layla looked down for a moment, thinking over her old friend's words to her.
But after some consideration, she shook her head slowly as she looked back at him.
"I wish it were that sample.
Because if it were my choice I wouldn't do this Jay."
Her grip tightened on her god slaying blade.
"But even the Olympic and Olympia wan this world to end.
And who am I to deny them?"

You know, Famine wasn't usually a dickhead.
Typically he left Rudi and Locke alone, or even got along with them.
But Conquest, for whatever reason it was, there was a deep sibling rivalry for him.
It was like an older brother giving the younger brother a wet willie, it was some kind of primal urge to be an a*****e.
So even if Adam knew better, he could not help but try to piss Conquest off whenever they were in close proximity of each other.
It was either envy or simply because they were so wildly different from one another, honestly he didn't know.

But it was true that their worlds were different. Unlike his brothers, Famine rarely dealt with people, he rarely had the time or chance to get attached to them. He usually just saw the worst in people or people at their worst. He was the injustices, fear, starvation that happened to them.
Death was usually right behind him, picking up the souls he'd left behind and truly, there was nothing Adam could do about it.
The injustices that Famine caused, such as the rising price of bread but not wine, and the rich abusing the poor; he could not be like Conquest and lead a rebellion. He could not be like War and fight beside them. He could not be like Death and relieve them from their fear and pain.
His presence simply made them suffer.

In his world the mortals were nothing but the bones on flesh.
Even now as he stared quizzically at Abeline, wondering what was so special about her, he could see nothing but her skeletal structure.
He wondered if Conquest had ever held the bones of someone he loved.
Perhaps if he had, he would understand why Famine thought the mortals so pointless.

He refocused and by this time, his brother was already halfway to him.
Fear rolled its singular, left eye, not at Conquest but at her own rider.
*sigh* This is so ridiculous.

Famine was a slow, heavy fighter.
But luckily for him he had his ways of getting around, especially against a much quicker opponent.
"Oh right." He'd sigh to himself.
"I forget about your little personality disorder at times."
Should Conquest blink, which likely he would, Famine would no longer be on his horse.
But rather behind him now, swinging the right side of his massive scale at the white riders back.

Like the first bullet in a gun fight, the others quickly followed behind.

Abeline was ready to fight Mayble, who'd had her eye on them, but this was quickly abrupted by the appearance of Dolos right in the middle of them.
The angel, using her rather imbalanced magic, began trying to summon weapons in her hands.
None of which she knew how to use.
First summoned a great sword, but it was too heavy. She couldn't even lift it.
Next a bow and arrow, but she shot five feet above their heads.
Next she tried a kitchen knife.

Light and easy to use.
Nice.

"Change of plans I guess." Abeline sighed.
"We're fighting the angel.
I hope you're a good aim."
The princess charged towards Dolos, staff ready to pierce through her torso if she didn't move.
But of course the angel did by stepping to the side.
She attempted to slice the girl on the side but Abeline's staff had already slapped onto hers.
"Take a shot!" She'd yell at Sanita.

Kaliyah, out of excitement, kicked the entire table over. Causing all the vegetables and wine to pour into dark green grass.
She couldn't help it, dragon's loved to cause a mess!
Hopefully Noire was agile enough to get out of the way of the food...

Her target was Mayble since Abeline was suddenly introduced to a new opponent. She charged as Mayble sent her many strings towards her.
Whatever came close to Kaliyah however, froze before it could even touch her and whatever was in her way she smashed through it.

Layla was going to regret this, but her words previously had been true.
The sword she held took control of her body, as it often did during battle, and forced her to run towards the priest.
"I'm sorry Jay!" She'd shout,.
Once slice from that thing, as Jay would surely know, meant a certain demise.
The blade was made for killing GODS after all.

However with great timing and a bit of luck, Layla would be stopped in her tracks as most suddenly she was swiped to the side like a fly.
"Never fear!" A low, grumbling yet excited voice would announce.
"Nerien is here!"

Jay's quirky shapeshifter had taken the shape as the demon friend formally known as Mr. Cuddles.
User Image

Opening her massive, gnarly fuzzy claws at Jay, she revealed his gunscythe in her paw.
"I have your new clothes too.
But I don't think now would be an appropriate time to change."

Using her powerful legs, she jumped behind Jay.
Ready to back him up whenever he would need it.

Layla picked herself up and did not hesitate to try and charge him again.
Her aiming to slice his neck.

The fight was ensuing but the black mare would not take part of it. Instead it would walk around the battle, heading straight towards Glory.
May I?
She'd say, stopping before she came to close to him.
Her ears were slightly laid back but only out of caution of the many eyed horse.
I haven't had any company other than Adam for months now.

Sanita barely let herself make conscious thought, working on pure instinct and muscle memory.
With the fire burning brighter inside her otherwise icy-cold gaze, the soldier jumped over the table with an ease only explained by differing gravity, letting the still-flying food bounce off her without a care.

The slight adjustment in target wasn't registered consciously until she was swinging her musket around toward the angel.
She jumped to the side to get a clearer shot and hopefully not catch Abeline in the spray.
With a slight smirk, she pulled the trigger.

Time seemed to freeze for the woman as the fire turned into a raging forestfire, tingling from her core up and along her arms, down through her fingers, and into her weapon.
The fire shot was not the normal spray of musket balls, but a concentrated bullet aimed right at the target's head, and blazing hot as the sun itself.

Any surprise at this was quickly squashed in favor of following through with her leap, tumbling back to her feet and weapon already cocked.
Gunpowder bedamned, if she was shooting fire she might as well roll with it.

"To them? A tool. Same as me to Evelyn, probably," Jay mused, ditching his cloak to reveal a simple vest-shirt, combat rigging and cargo trousers. All in black, of course. Gotta have that tactical vibe.
"Thank ya honey," he replied to his friend, quickly nabbing and countering the strike Layla was throwing with his own recoil-enhanced swing. Time to get into the swing of things!

"Hmm? Oh crap!"
Noire dodge-rolled out of the way and gave a withering look to Kaliyah. The heck. She was trying to smok
Wait a minute everyone is fighting. Oh jeez.
... OH JEEZ.

Though his target had vanished, honed reflexes did not falter.
Instead, he ducked lower, rolling to a stop just outside of the heavy flail of his brother's Instrument.
"Personality disorder? What?
That I don't take to The returning flicks of his bow swept the wire twice around in a wider arc, now.
The others, hopefully, had the sense to back away from the golden arcs it traced in the air and earth.
If not, they would likely find one of their favorite bodily parts missing.

It wasn't sure if teleportation or simple velocity was the scale-bearer's deal yet.
In order to discover that, testing was needed, and what better way to test than to cheat?
A pair of slim metal darts flashed from his side, the free hand slinging them straight at his brother's chest.
The poisoned barbs would induce numbness, a spreading lethargy, should they both land.
Though effective, the tools of a wetboy didn't sit well in the son's hand.
They were crafted for the father, less dramatic and focused on what worked.

Their rivalry, it had to be said, was so long-standing, spanning so many incarnations of either, that it was something of a tradition.
It was a relationship born of jealousy and inability to comprehend the other's viewpoint, as far as anyone could tell.
For just as Famine couldn't understand his youngest brother's monomaniacal attachments, Conquest had no grasp over his sibling's nihilistic detachment.
They'd seldom talked long enough to puzzle out the similarities in their viewpoints; certainly not in their present memories.
Right now, none of it mattered much.
The wildfire-eyed man had a rather narrow list of priorities just now, notable points being:
-Murder Famine in the face until he dies.
-Stick a knife in Famine once he's dead, just to make him double-dead.
-Survive the current situation.
-Kill Bliss.
-Something something something.
-Profit.

Had Glory not rejoined them, at this point, the White Rider would be a babbling mess of violence and bloodlust.
As it was...
...Well, the violence and bloodlust were present, and he was babbling, but he wasn't as much of a mess.
At least the sentences were coherent.
His head was staying clearer since rejoining his partner, and it was showing.

Speaking of...
Unlike his distaste for most people, the White Horse tended to get on rather well with the other mounts.
At least, he put forth more effort with them, even bothering with such things as tact and manners, on occasion.
Fear was one of the closest things he had to a friend, the other two coming in just behind her.
You got it, sister.
So long's you don't start tryin' to bite me, we good.
Li'l s**t Kali rides has been nippin' since we met.
So how's things with Mr. Acid Raincloud?

The Assassin of Chaos

"Awww Jay called me honey~ heart "
Nerien hummed to herself in her deep, evil voice. Being that her soul was legit bonded to her masters, the honeyed words could not help but fill the demon lord with absolute bliss.
He was so cute she could just...EAT HIM UP!
Nerien shook her head.
She was getting a little too into character.

As soon as Jay countered, Layla swung back with another swing which was likely to be countered again. They would kind of go like this for a second, swinging and blocking and dodging and hurling.
Layla's sword however had an ability that wasn't much explored in the era of Madness. The power was similar to Ceres's god blade actually. Each of the god killing blades possessed the ability to change what kind of weapon they were, however each were limited to certain forms.
Olympic was a shield, a great sword and a double bladed battle ax.
Olympia was a bow, a rapier and a war scythe.

That said, Layla would give Jay an unpleasant surprise as he'd suddenly find a heavy shield giving him a clean bash backwards.

--

Adam merely grunted in frustration as the scales swung right over his brothers head. Now that he'd missed, his weapon became a little trickier.
The scales were an incredibly powerful weapon, often it only took one hit from them to get his enemies on the ground.
However this was only the case if he could keep up with the momentum of his swings, meaning, if he missed he had to keep going. Stopping meant he'd have to thrust energy into them again if he wanted a hard hit and doing that over, and over would wear him out at some point.
So it was much easier to just keep spinning.
This is often challenging for both him and whomever he was fighting.

"You just take everything I say SO PERSONALLY!
It was only a suggestion!"

As the slim darts came hurling towards him, the green rider would have no choice but to use his ability to move out the way.
Vanishing in a pillar of black smoke, the darts would find themselves in the bark of a tree.
Which was maybe a Conna.... (???)

"Maybe." Conquest would hear above him, "If you stop goofing around and let these people go, you could get more done!"
The fact that the sound came from upwards, would likely indicate that this was some kind of teleportation.

Again, but at his side this time, Famine would appear at his brothers side. This time fully united with the speed and momentum that his weapon demanded, the left scale at it's full speed, came hurling at Conquest's right side.

--

Dolos had found herself in a pickle a lot faster than she had expected. She had a chilly staff hitting her left ribs and a bullet as hot as the sun heading straight towards her pretty face.
I mean she knew this would happen eventually, it was two against one after all, no fair! Right now she was fighting both fire and ice and that was no fun.
Quickly she decided that she couldn't remain in this form, it was too feeble and sensitive to elements such as this.
She needed to be something stronger, faster and more sturdy.

First she needed to survive this blast that was heading for her.
Abeline had moved away due to both the golden arcs that Conquest summoned and the bullet, so that left the angel with some space.
To Sanita and Abeline, the girl would seemingly vanish out of sight.
In truth though she'd changed to the most durable creature on the planet, the water bear. As her microscopic body would tumble towards the ground, the bullet would either miss her entirely or if it got her, she would survive.
Either way, she would not stay in this form very long.
It was only effective for living in extreme conditions after all.

With the immediate danger gone, she would become visible again but this time as an intimidating beast.

Her head snapped towards the human girl, her new target.
Growling and snarling she leapt for Sanita, her sharp claws spread open and ready to tear the girl to pieces should they land on her.
Abeline scowled, she HATED fighting shapeshifters.
They were incredibly difficult to beat and it took a lot of thinking ahead to beat them.
The Princess herself had only fought two in her life, each time she'd only won because of some sort of mistake that they'd made.
But for now the priority wasn't killing the angel, in all honesty that probably wasn't going to happen in this battle.
What they needed to do was disable her and Abeline had to do that while also protecting her fighting partner.

A wall of Ice would shield Sanita from the sand vipers vicious claws and teeth.
Dolos's head would slam head first into it and she would collapse on the ground.
She wouldn't linger there however, recuperating quickly the beast simply shook it's head and stood up again, and began bashing the wall of ice with its tail.

This gave both the girls time for their next move.

--

Meanwhile, Olive and her Mother had thrown themselves into an embrace with each other and were now sitting on the ground, a magical shield enveloped over them as they wept with each other.
Nobody could hear them talking through the shield, so as to what was going on with them nobody knew.

Kaliyah had effectively jabbed Mayble in the gut with her staff, which actually proved to be ineffective because Mayble was a bloodless, gutless doll.
Stunned, the elder ice dragon found strings latching themselves onto her ankles and thrusting her across the field...

-----
Fear was currently wishing her other eye hadn't decomposed right now. To be completely blind on her right side made her nervous, as that was the side of her that was facing the battle.
She'd learned to listen better with that side, but still, horses could only hear as well as humans.
Lifting her head, she neighed in laughter at Glory, despite her current state of uneasiness.

Sounds to me like you've a feisty girlfriend, She teased.
The black mare would pace herself to Glory's side, her left side facing him.
With slight envy she tried to focus on one of the many eyes of the other equine, but it was difficult to look at just one.

Oh you know, the usual.
However this particular incarnation tends to ignore me often, he's too independent.
Liked the last one better, he listened to me more.
How about yours?
He's not half bad looking.

Ow. Annoying. Jay stumbled back after the shield bash - yes, he obviously countered - but looked little more than annoyed.
Oh no, he was focusing on heating up every single piece of metal or bone in or on Layla. Never mind. Well, Layla should mind but everyone else shouldn't.

Dang it, Kaliyah.
The puppet would suddenly find itself doused in napalm and finding some special sword trying to unentangle Kaliyah as quickly as possible before Noire realized how stupid throwing napalm at a magic thing was.
Plus Noire wanted to not see people she'd just met die yet. Maybe later, when it was necessary. Not now though.
PostPosted: Sun Dec 24, 2017 3:33 pm
Sanita was not prepared for her target to disappear, nor was she ready for whatever the hell appeared in the angel's place.
For the first time since her first battle, she found herself frozen in place, any fire that burned within going out while replaced with cold fear at the claws and teeth closing in on her.

Forced back from the shock of ice shielding her from imminent death, the woman caught herself before falling flat on her rear.
Looking at her fighting companion, she rose an eyebrow.
"Think you could throw me clear over the ice wall you just created?"
She stepped out of the way of falling ice before continuing.
"Might get another shot at the beast from above while you attack from below."

Should the Princess be able to, Sanita planned on shooting the beast as close to the spine as possible, somewhere close to the neck/shoulder blades.
Whether she could summon the fire again at will was yet to be seen.

However, if the Princess came up with any other plan, Sanita would work almost purely on instinct from there.

Again, the weight of a scale whirled close by his nose.
Again, it missed by a hair, this time, by way of its' master's disappearance.
Adam was slower, but in this case, it wasn't much of a disadvantage.
Especially not when the man could poof from one place to another midswing.
This had been a stupid thing to do; rushing in was never a good idea when outnumbered.
...But an angry Conquest had seldom been one that made the sensible choices.

The first thing to focus on was avoiding his brother's Instrument.
That thing was heavy enough to knock the wind out of him, at the least.
What was worse, he didn't remember if it had an additional effect when used as a weapon, or if it were more symbolic in power, as was his crown.
Which the White Horseman didn't have.
A return strike could happen when there was an opportunity.

In this case, as with before, the killer's body attempted to dance out of the way.
He'd raised and braced his blade with both hands, one on the hilt and the other along the blade, only just blocking the side-blow.
The flailing weight did two things: it bounced upward upon meeting the deflection, allowing a glancing cut toward Famine's leg, and sent his opponent sprawling into a table.
As he was rolled away by the force, a mental note was made not to do that again.
Playing it safe, not bothering with greater strikes, and striking where he could were more effective strategies.

In mock-disgust, several eyes narrowed in Fear's range of vision.
Eeew. Ain't even sure if she's sentient. Grody.
Caring little for the battle, Glory trotted around, circling closer to the fight.
This way, the mare could glance at her own partner, if need be.
Courtesy was important, when it applied.

Can't say I've had that problem, this time around.
All my problems are that a*****e Noah's fault.
d**k jumpstarted the becoming, ******** the whole transition up.
Instead of someone nice and balanced, I've got this hot mess to deal with.
The guy he started as was a professional.
There's some potential, but right now, this one's just an amateur borrowing his blueprint's skills.

The Assassin of Chaos

Jay had a few options.
He couldn't sap energy from the sword, that was a bit too high above his level.
If he could steal energy from gods then he'd basically be one and well, Everlyn had no intentions of making competition.
He could keep going at her but you know, beating a god sword in battle wasn't likely.
He needed to at least disable her somehow, whether he used his scythe, his sidekick or his powers was up to him.

While he'd think things over there, Layla would come right back at him, her shield turning into the double bladed ax.
She took a powerful swing at him, a normal counter would only throw him more backwards.

Nerien was worried. Should need it be, she would lunge herself in front of the blade and Jay if his life were in danger.
But since it wasn't quite yet, she patiently awaited his orders like a pokemon.

--

"AHHHH"
The doll would scream angrily as a burst of fire enveloped her.
She was a magical evil voodoo doll, so she wouldn't be completely destroyed.
But still as the smoke would clear, Mayble was clearly singed.

This at least gave Kaliyah some time to pick herself up.
She looked upwards, watching her sister take to the skies, she wondered if this would be a good idea herself.
They were about to be trapped in an incredibly durable cage after all.
The only problem was that Kaliyah was notably bigger than her sister, it would cause a lot of problems for her allies if she suddenly changed.
She'd had to take flight in her humanoid form and then take shape in the air, which was a hard thing for an Oravian to do.

She looked at Noire, then Mayble.
If she took flight now anyways, that would leave the human girl alone with the doll.
And Kaliyah just wasn't that sort of person.

Mayble's strings would stretch out once more, this time for both of the girls.
Kaliyah would slow down most by using her ice magic to freeze them as they came, but some still manage to slip through.
If Noire had more Napalm, maybe she coudl try that?
Kaliyah was doing her best but she wouldn't be able to save her just yet.
Instead the Ice dragon was charging towards the doll once more, her spear facing forwards as she froze everything that came towards her.

-----

Abeline thought Sanita's plan was a good one.
But unlike her sister, Abeline was truly more of a Princess than an actual dragon. Even for an Oravian, Abeline wasn't particularly specialized in the skill of brute strength. So she probably couldn't lift Sanita, or at least not dangerously. Sure she could spring her up with Ice but...wait..was that was what she wanted?
Abeline pondered this, but only very briefly.

No. She had a better way to get Sanita in the air.
Without any warning to her surrounding partners and enemies, Abeline's entire figure would glow very brightly.
Most around them knew what this meant, but this would likely come to a surprise for Sanita.
This glowing figure would begin grow larger and change its shape.
Soon enough, Sanita would be looking at large silver wyvern.

To stall Dolos, Abeline would use her massive tail to sweep Dolos against a tree.
Again the sand viper found itself a little disabled and this gave the girls a bit more time.
In her lowly, yet somehow sweet dragon voice she spoke to Sanita.
"Climb on my head and hold on tightly to my horns.
We'll take to the sky and get some height."

This probably wasn't what Sanita had in mind, but Abeline was sure she could handle this.
Once the girl did as instructed, Abeline took to flight and left everyone in the battlefield to deal with a large gust of wind.

As they flew straight upwards, it wouldn't be long before Sanita could look backwards and see a small dragon (Dolos) chasing after them.

"Now would be your chance." The dragon grumbled.

--

Famine stumbled backwards at the attack.
He cringed as he felt his cool blood run down his leg.
It'd been a long time since he'd felt anything like that, almost forgot he'd even had blood.
The cut hadn't cut too deep, so he could still withstand the weight of his weapon fortunately. He was now more eager than ever to get his brother out of the way though.
This battle was pointless after all, Conquest had one of the books, yes, but Adam expected to retrieve that one later.
He needed to focus on the next one and he needed to make sure someone from his group got out of this mess.

Ceres was the only person unoccupied by battle at the moment.
She was the ideal choice.
He would need to focus on her soon.

Turning his body he began to spin vigorously in an almost dizzying way. Again he had to build up the lost momentum and he was trying to put as much energy into the scales as he could manage.
Like a top, he spun towards Conquest, hoping that the other rider couldn't duck or dodge his way out of the fast spinning weights.

As he did this, the earth underneath them began to tremble, though not because of Famine.
Gaia was taking action now by lifting her roots from underneath the rocks and dirt of her mountain. It was taking an incredible amount of force and a lot of energy from the old tree, which was making her just as weak as previously seen before. However her power was not something to gawk at, around them massive landslides were taking place all over the region. Luckily none were around them just yet, but this battlefield was becoming unsafe to fight in...

As to what she was doing with her roots would be quickly revealed. Slowly they all began to lift towards the sky and slowly, but steadily create a dome over their heads....
It was a trap in the making and so far, only Abeline and Sanita had escaped.

--

Fear would bob her head in gesture of thanks and nicker pleasantly as the white stallion was mindful of her limited vision.
Occasionally she would glance at her rider, but she mainly focused on her conversation partner.

I heard about that.
Never seen that Noah fellow but he sure annoys the hell out of me.
Men should not mess with the riders.
But who's to say that he even is one.

She sighed and shook her head a little.

That sounds maddening Glory.
Maybe he has some potential but it seems to me that you've run out of time to make him any better.
You'll just have to make do when the bells toll.

The decayed horse could only see so much, but she could tell that things were about to get considerably messy.
Should Gaia be successful in her work, then Famine could pull a d**k head move and wipe out everyone with ease.

She wondered if the other hero's would win this battle...

How dare Eve do this. Uh, Lynny. Damn it, whatever name didn't annoy her but wasn't Evelyn. He was gonna aspire to become a god just to mess with her.
Well, just 'cos he couldn't stop the sword's energy didn't mean he couldn't stop what the sword did. Magic didn't translate into science well enough to retain something intrinsic to magic, aka he could probably stop the motion of the swing without taking the sword's energy itself. Which he tried. Plus he was getting tired of not being hit, even if it was a godslaying sword trying to hit him.

Noire ALWAYS had napalm. At least until she didn't. Which wasn't then. It was now.
She threw some more napalm at the marionette, and drop a third container in front of her to make the string's lives more difficult.

Sanita was stunted for the briefest of seconds as she watched the elegant princess transform into a dragon before her very eyes.
Instinct took over, and all emotions and non-battle related thoughts were shoved to the side as she tried to climb atop her dragon companion without causing any undo stress.
However, the clicking of a puzzle piece resounded within her mind as she processed that the human-like "dragons" truly could take the form of the ones described in legends.

Sanita took an unconventional approach to sitting on her companion's head, although she did not realize this.
She sat facing toward the rear with her left leg wrapped around Abeline's right horn.
Her left arm was also looped around it to meet the cool wood of her musket, already taking aim at the dragon pursuing them.
Horror flashed within her at the sight of her newly made allies' imminent entrapment by a wooden dome before turning into a burning anger.

Thoughts of missing at such a far range were ignored as she fired, relief at seeing the burning light shoot from her muzzle's tip overshadowed by her growing rage thats heat matched the bullet she shot.
Without checking to see if the bullet met its mark, she aimed slightly to the right and poured all of her rage into pulling the trigger.
A miniature sun, not a bullet, escaped the end of the human's musket.
Its light was so bright she was forced to close her eyes to it, and the heat so intense it singed her hairs and cracked the muzzle.

Sanita felt all energy leave her as she watched both blazes of light head for their targets; one, the dragon that had yet to be hit or missed.
The other, the wooden fortress encasing the battlefield she and Abeline had just narrowly escaped.
A small spark fought to keep flickering as she sloppily aimed her musket at their pursuer once more, though her mind had gone too fuzzy to see if the shapeshifter was even still following, or falling.

As full of himself as Conquest was, not getting the last word in was intolerable, especially when the person talking to him was doing such a good job of pissing him right off.
There hadn't been a chance to say anything, with the impact to deflect.
Nor breath to say it, if he had.
"Enough! ENOUGH!"

Instead of springing down or back, as would be expected, the White Rider danced back only a step or two.
Reading the swing, he let it pass, and launched himself forward, tackling his brother about the midsection.
Instead of allowing Famine the reach Flails(-scales) required, a grapple was what he'd gone for.
"I lost my friend! Lost my father! Lost everyone that cared!
I finally have my friend back!
NO ONE WILL TAKE HER AWAY AGAIN!"
For now, there was no knife in his fist, just fingers.

As they spun to the ground, the enraged Nyllednian would begin pummeling the Black Rider.
He wasn't paying much attention to what was going on around him.
That was what the others were for, right?
Besides, the blue-eyed Mount would tell him if things were going too far wrong. Probably.
At this moment, with this dead-eyed medical wipe so close, the other plans were pushed away.
Right now, he was doing his level best to beat Adam within an inch of his unending life.
Forehead, fists, elbows, knees, teeth... Conquest used anything and everything he could.
All the while, the proper angle for a neck-snap hold would be sought...

The animalistic abomination rolled a few pairs of eyes.
Horses weren't physically capable of shrugging, anyway.
Can't rightly say. Ruin says he was, once.
Also says that
War was close to him, back then.
Not a story I care much about, especially with him tellin' it. Stiff douche.

Thankfully, there were compensations.
The sound they could make to indicate 'nonsense' was particularly satisfying.
Glory much enjoyed having muscular equine lips.
Yeah, well.
Should get better once he's got his
Crown.
Workin' with a screwed up partner's doable, but bein' incomplete, too?
Upside, it's kinda hard to mess up at The End.
Nice havin' the right reactions built in, sometimes.

As the barrier went up, and miniature suns went down, the White Horse considered picking up sticks.
The light would help him and his, sure, but things were getting crazy.
So many duels. It was becoming evident that neither group could really fight as a team.
If they survived, that would need some work.

The Assassin of Chaos

If Jay ever thought the name Lynny for Everlyn again he was probably going to get struck by lightening. This was the strange feeling he would get anyways when he thought that. His magic did indeed slow down the godsword, which was good.
But what was he to do now?
Nerien was getting impatient. Jay never used her in his battles.
With a low, cross growl she would suddenly take action, this battle needed to cease before everyone here made a mistake that they would regret.

Plus it was important to note afterall that most these people here were considered good people, excluding the riders, Mayble and occasionally Dolos. Should one of them die as Famine promised, it would be yet another sad day.

With the movement of the godsword slowed, Nerien took this opportunity to grasp her large claws around Layla and shake the blade from her grasp, which would eventually clatter onto the ground.
The sword would glow brightly in hot anger at the removal of its host.

"AHH! Let me go!" The farm girl would scream.
"Seriously! You're holding me really tight!?

"Sorry..." Nerien mumbled as she loosened her grip a little.

Once again the doll was struck. Perhaps if she did not have such a bogus regeneration ability, this would've turned her over.
But alas, Mayble was not such an opponent easily defeated, hence why Famine chose her for his team.
Her strings would fix and sow themselves back into place. This took time though, thankfully, so Kaliyah and Noire had a little room to move now.

Speaking of the Dragoness...
This was it, she was sick of fighting in this form. This was only a good form for her if she wasn't facing magic, her brute strength could take most men down.
However this was a magical creature and the best way to fight magic was with more magic.

With the next spring of her step, Kaliyah would spread her wings and lift herself into the air with her four wings, where she would then turn as Abeline had. Her figure would glow brightly, like a hot sun and then before them was a another Ice dragon, this one far larger than Abeline.
Standing on only her hind legs she towered over the battle field, casting a chilly shadow among her comrades.

She would lean her head downwards towards Mayble, who was definitely panicking about now. The string doll wasn't finished with her regenerating, but she had little choice but to focus her strings on fighting Kaliyah instead now Again her strings would burst forward, attempting to grab ever crevice of the dragons scaled face. But just before it could latch onto the tips of her scales, the dragon would blow out a fierce wind of ice in her direction, causing the strings and then the entire doll, to be frozen into place...

With the main opponent dealt with for now, Kaliyah would focus on the dome that Gaia was attempting to create. She began to blow her icy winds on the growing roots, slowly putting them in their place as well...

---

A low croak would emit from Abeline as the heat from Sanita's magic hit her icy scales. Luckily it was only a discomfort for her and was not near her long enough to cause any real damage.
After the shots were fired, Abeline would slow her pace down, turn around and fly in place as she watched with Sanita to see if they were successful.

The first burning light reflected in Dolos's eyes brightly.
The shapeshifter didn't have a lot of time to react, no time for changing her form this time. Instead, all she could do was try to dodge it enough to where it didn't hit her head on. With one forceful push of her thin wings, she forced herself out of the bullets way as far as she could possibly manage.
As suspected however, it still managed to skim across her entire side and it blazed past her.
Dolos would screech as she struggled to maintain flight and soon enough, found herself to be tumbling towards the earth...

The second burst of light would hit more of the roots and burn them to a crisp. This was a great help to Kaliyah, whom was freezing the rest of them. So far, the two were successfully holding back the roots from trapping everyone inside them. If Sanita could manage it however, it probably wouldn't hurt to do it just one more time.
As it was, Gaia had collapsed to the ground, her hands wrapped on her head as if she suffered from a migraine....

"That's a pretty handy power." Abeline would purr to Sanita.
"How come you didn't tell us about this earlier??"

-------

Famine would've liked to respond to his brother, but there was little time for that as he was being pummeled ruthlessly by said brother.
He wasn't quick enough to block a hit, he didn't have any innate skills that the previous wetboy had.
Adam had been a meager blacksmith before he'd turned.
Maybe he shouldv'e worn some Armour before coming to this...
The fists, the elbows and whatever else Conquest used on his face kept coming.
But for the brief moments that he could look upwards, he could see the ball of burning light (the one that had hit Dolos's side) tumbling right towards them.
He would open his mouth in an attempt to say, but the golden riders knuckles would quickly close it in another swing.
It was then that Famine had to use the only move he had left before he feel unconscious under both his brothers fists and that ball of fire.

He would vanish from underneath Conquest and would suddenly appear behind him.
Still a bit angry, he'd grab the back of Conquest's head and right shoulder to make them both teleport away.
They would reappear just besides the horses as Sanita's ball of light would make a 5 foot crater were they just were....

Adam would stumble backwards until his back hit the bark of a tree. Uneasily he would slid down to a sit and take a breathe with half closed eyes.

"I never....said I was going to kill her.
I'm not that much of an a*****e."

Fear could not comment much on that situation with Ruin.
She personally couldn't remember the last time she'd even seen War. Had to be at least one eon ago...
She supposed that as long as this Noah person didn't meddle between her and her rider, she would consider it "not her problem".

As she watched the fight proceed, Fear began showing signs of irritation and agitation. Her tail flickered aggressively, her ears lay flat on her back and as the punches continued, she'd even stomp her foot a little.
Despite all this, she kept her conversation going with Glory.

You know....
I believe I've heard about the whereabouts of his crown.
It's not guaranteed or anything, but Adam said he thought he'd saw it where those uhm..I forget what they're called.
The uh, guys with lots of arms and faces?
Perhaps you should make that your next destination.

When the riders would appear next to them, the black mares ears would perk up.
Should Conquest move in her riders direction again, she might interfere by simply stepping in between them.
Otherwise she would simply turn her eye on them.

"Don't loosen your damn grip!" Jay chided his companion. "If she got free and got the sword back, it's on you, Nerry." Speaking of swords, he decided to kick the godsword as far away as possible. By the hilt.
Actually, was Evelyn an Evey person? Evey sounded kinda nice, and it was pretty short.
"By the by, what do you think's a good nickname for Evelyne?" he asked Layla curiously. He wasn't gonna focus on killing her, which meant he had to keep an eye on her instead. If he could keep her around when they tried to inevitably escape... well, having a god-killing sword on their side would be a massive advantage. Also, he was seriously curious.

Noire kinda stared at the frozen doll, then her strings... then grinned and started to break the brittle strings quickly. She just felt like it, really... Also she'd had to waste several of her brand new napalm grenades on her.
This was more for vengeance - for wasting her time and materials! Hahahahahahaha!
