This place was so….desolate. His fur was on end, his body was tense, and he was afraid that if he blinked, something would attack him. It wasn’t because of the physical appearance of the lands, however. No, the place was darker than most others, but they all shared the same ground, the same earth, the same sun. Still, the air that was exuded was offly creepy.

Lokesh hunched his shoulders, shivered, and continued forward. Just because the atmosphere of the place gave him the creeps, didn’t mean that he should head back in the other direction. There was no need. It was probably superstition, nothing more. And if he ever found his family in this area----well, then it would have been a good thing that he actually went through the area then, wouldn’t it?

So the lion continued on, albeit on edge and alert.

A nearby den caught his eye, and he treaded forward slowly, cautiously. Ever vigilant, he peered into the dark ominous looking den his eyes slowly adjusting to the lack of light that the place provided. After a beat, he soon noticed that there was a figure laying on the ground. Dark and still. ”Hello?” he called out, voice hushed. He didn’t want to wake up the other lion up but…There wasn’t another to be seen anywhere.

Carefully, he crept closer.
