Sen'ka, even as a child, had taken up to just watching. She watched her male and female siblings alike go about their day to day dealings. Some played, some threw fits, but none watched her like she was watching them. She wasn't against these things, she just felt the need to soak it all in, to learn and understand everything that was going on around her. She was the daughter of an Empress after all and perhaps one day she'd be taking on such a roll. She didn't fully understand this in her childlike mind, but she certainly felt the need to learn and understand all that that was around her.
A 'thud' drew her eyes from some of her siblings over to her brother Takshaka. From what she could make out of the situation, the male had attempted to climb the wall. The thought brought a smirk to her face, yes she could certainly learn a lot by watching them- especially how silly of ideas they had in their heads. Her smile faded though when he began to play with his shadow- creating a type of hood like their parents had. She huffed wondering if the small one thought he really had a chance of ever being like their parents.
She slithered her way over behind him watching him for a moment, her hands on her hips, “What are you doing, Takshaka?” she attempted to sound older, but her childlike squeaking really ruining the tone. “Trying to be like father?” she attempted a smirk, a fang slipping from behind her lips. She was actually curious as to what the young male was doing since it didn't make any sense in her mind to be playing such imaginary games. At least his attempts at climbing the walls made more sense to her- that had help them both learn something.
She glanced around him to look at his shadow again. It did make him look impressive, though she couldn't say who it would impress, "Where are your brothers? Why aren't you doing something useful?"

Thoroughly enjoying his game completely unaware anyone was watching him, Takshaka ruled over his 'kingdom'. Moving from side to side, he watched how his shadow followed and pictured a field of dead harpies. Feathers scattered all around, he smiled at the great feat. Surely mother and father would be impressed!
One of the harpies started to speak, which looked odd on a comically simplistic broken harpy head. The voice sounded familiar and knew his name? Blinking twice, the visions faded and he could see it was just one of his siblings. First instinct was to attack. Baring his fangs at her in a full practiced hiss he lifted himself as high as his snake-like body would allow, "I will be like father!" he retorted defensively, "That was just a glimpsse into the furture"
Little hands were still balled up, and he had his little fangs on proud display. Poised to pounce, he remembered his mother scold him before for attacking a sister. So with a huff, he stuck his tongue out at her instead. "I wass killing harpiess, plenty useful!" Where were his brothers? That was actually a pretty good question, for a sister. "Got tried of being beat up, so they hidding!" Declaring it as if it made him the toughest thing around, Takshaka crossed his arms and puffed out his chest.
He was top hatchling after all, one day to be emperor in his own right. When he was, no sisters would be allowed or girls. They were annoying and he saw no need for them. Momma could stay, he liked her.

Sen'ka huffed at her brother when it took him awhile to answer her. She could tell he was still dealing with his imagination state which made her smirk to herself, one couldn't allow themselves such a distraction. What if she had chosen to attack him? He probably felt safe here, the worst offender! You could never believe yourself safe even around so called family.
She gave off a hearty laugh at his exclamation, “Like father? You boys could never be like father.” She said this with a curt shake of her head, causing her hair to bounce around her face. She pushed it out of her eyes so she could glare at him, “Killing harpies in your head? How does that help you prepare for real ones? You should be picking on your brothers and actually getting some practice in.”
“Unless you're the one who got beat up so now you're hiding.” she laughed at his expense. She knew in his mind there would be no reason for her to pick on him, but in her mind it made complete sense. She had overheard conversations about the children, that they needed to strengthen themselves in order to flourish in this land. There were so few of them compared to the others out there, but they could have the upper hand if they'd just prepare themselves. She wasn't sure who the 'others' out there were, but she trusted her guardians.
So in order to do that she had to make sure her siblings were at the top of their games, even if it meant becoming the bully. She had to push them all, physically and mentally. At least till their numbers rose then the boys could deal with themselves.

Sen'ka kept the smile from curling up her face at her brother's aggressive hiss. 'Yes, get mad.' she thought with a twinge of pride. He would need to learn that this emotion is what would fuel him in fights. She had seen it while watching the others. Sure, he was all pride and belief in himself, but she had seen how the angrier sibling tended to fight more viciously. That's what they would need after all- strong, vicious family members.
She raised an eyebrow at him, “And how will a pretend Harpy help you know?” she questioned, pressing a finger to the middle of his forehead. “You've never actually seen them so you don't know if what you're pretending is how they are.” she pushed his head with her finger, giving him the attitude back. “You're just gonna confuse yourself.”
The punch to the wall was a surprise, though she didn't show much emotion towards it. He sure was an easy one to aggravate, which she found to be pleasing. She would need to see if these same tactics would work on her other brothers or if this one was just especially angry. “Lucky I'm a sister? True, but not 'cause what you think.” she smiled a sickly sick smile at him. No, she was lucky she was a sister because that meant she was better. Better than him and his brothers, perhaps even stronger. She hadn't lowered her standards to fight with her brothers, but sisters had to be a certain strength to keep their higher position in the group, right? She was ok with this. She'd do whatever she had to to keep things as they were and bring honor to her mother's name.
“You wanna fight me, but there's no point.” she shook her head at him, letting the smile remain on her face. She crossed her arms as she held his eyes, “It would only be bad and embarrassing for you.” She uncrossed her arms and waved him away. She wasn't saying she'd win, and wasn't intentionally antagonizing him. She just meant the rule of all rules, if he broke that he'd be in for it from their parents, “If you wanna go back to fighting pretend birds then do it. It wont get you anywhere. Even if you think you're better than our brothers you're not doing them any good by ignoring them. We all have to get stronger.”

Rolling his eyes, he huffed at her again. Were all his sisters like this? Probably, he wasn't the best at telling them apart. After all, they were just sisters.
Swatting at her hand when she dared to touch the great Takshaka outside of a sleeping pile. Hissing at her he told her, "I have too! They fly, have feathers and scream a lot." Memories of when he first hatched had morphed into one blurry picture. Not that she needed to know that, he was anything but unsure of himself.
The would-be future Emperor put his hands behind his back so he could flex that poor abused hand. He glanced around only looking at her when she spoke. The majority of what he heard amounted to blah blah blah for him even eliciting a yawn that saw his jaw almost unhinging and a healthy display of the fangs he was so proud of, "No other reason needed besides Momma says I can't beat you up." He could, if given the chance. It still didn't make any sense to him. Sisters were the same as brothers, just more annoying so why they couldn't fight was beyond him.
Apparently his sister was a comedian too. Laughing at her response he took several minutes to stop cackling before he was able to speak, wide smile never fading, "Well beating you in two blinks would be embarrassing but not for me." There was nothing wrong with picking on those weaker, but then it didn't make you stronger.
He'd have to be plenty strong to rule as Emperor. No annoying sisters! "I is not! They are hiding from me, not worth chasing them down." He hissed again, proving his point. After all, if there was a brother he would have attacked already, duh!
Irish Night Fox Oh Tutu has much to learn xd
