He couldn’t wait to tell them!
Dashing across the thin grass, Erevu’s rusty eyes searched the savannah and outcropping of rocks for two adolescents who seemed glued at the hips. His excitement would peek when he spotted someone around their size, or colouring, or in a group together, before realizing with disappointment that it wasn’t them. After a little more searching, he spotted them off in the distance and, in a haste, trotted over to them.
”Bryne! Vogel!” he called out, a large grin sprawled across his expression, before coming to a stop in front of them. He eyed the two for a moment, wanting to playfully pounce. No, I have to be an adult now, he reminded himself and just settled for looking excited. He opened his mouth to tell them the big news but stopped… Instead, he settled for, ”Guess what?”

It had been a long day so far, if Vogel had any say in it. It wasn't even dark yet, at that! It was hot against the dark mop on his head, and he just wanted to sit and listen to stories. Bryne, though, was ambitious and wanted to be out and about.
Dutifully, he followed Bryne and did as she asked.
They had been taking a break when they heard the familiar voice of Erevu approaching. Erevu always made Vogel smile - he was just so enthusiastic and it was contagious.
And he looked excited, honestly. Bryne, however, didn't look terribly impressed over the thought of a guessing game. "Did you find something?" Bryne asked, however, giving into the question.

Erevu sat down, puffing his chest out proudly, chin raised with arrogance as he waited for them to guess. When Bryne first ventured out with… a question of her own, the lion gave her a deadpanned look. That wasn’t a guess. ”No,” he responded back with a bit of an exasperated sigh, hanging his head. Did he expect anything less? Would she have truly guessed? Probably not. But then, he really didn’t know.
Straightening back up, he grinned. ”I’m,” he paused, casting an eye on the pair of them, before his smile grew. ”a scout now,” he finished, raising his paw to his chest in an extravagant gesture.
