Lately, Tiki had began wandering away from his sister. Not far, though. She was pretty much stationary now, staying within the confines of the mountain cave (though a really nice cave, he assured her). The soft light during the day was a lot easier on his sister's eyes and he would never begrudge her that.

But Tiki was simply not done traveling.

The pair had set out together long ago, but news of their fallen pack had reached them, and they remained together ever since. It had been so long since they had been apart, though, and Tiki.

Well, he needed some time away from his family. Talk to someone new, perhaps? The blue hyena drew in a deep breath when he finally reached the bottom of the mountain. It was nice, down here, where the grass grew and the setting sun cast the world around them in a lovely orange glow.
