*Kindness rp babby treasure hunter
Treasure Hunter had gotten used to the frequent visits to Phonyland by now. Especially Phony City, the busy part of the land. He had made many visits to Candy's shop already to get his fix of non alcoholic grog and black liquorice. This time he had decided to travel further into the city to see the other remaining stores and whether it was worth visiting or not.
He grew accustomed to seeing phonies of different shapes and colours. Some almost made his heart flutter, but living as a babby pirate, he felt that there was no need to chase after lasses just yet. They may betray him or fall for another landlubber before he was old enough to devote his heart to just one beautiful lass.
The little foal decided to visit an antique shop first this time around. There were just too many shops that had to do with food...
In he walked, into a tiny shack with a half fallen off open sign, and the smell of dust and old metal filled the air. There were shelves and shelves of strange artifacts and Treasure Hunter observed them carefully while he shuffled across the room. He didn't want to break anything and end up losing the little bits of currency he had for Phonyland.
He looked around the small place some more to see if there were anything worth of value he could bring back to their ship as decoration, and, perhaps, if he did find something, he could give it to Doubloon as a gift.

Hyd had gone to this store many times. They always seemed to have just what he needed, even when he didn't really know what it was he was looking for! Today was no exception, as he walked into the shop, nodding a greeting to the shop keeper before beginning his usual rounds of perusing the items. He stepped past a salmon colored colt wearing a cute scarf, and cast him a friendly greeting. "Hello there! Had the same idea, I see." he grinned, laughing softly before moving on to a table full of various objects. "Needs to be small, but not too small... something that stands out yet blends..." he mused to himself, using his magic to levitate many items all at once before putting them right back into place.
Shaking his head, he turned to look over another shelf of items. A few brass figurines of ponies frolicking together, an old ornate but slightly rusty tin full of many different kinds of buttons, and a plate of seemingly fake gems laid neatly placed upon the table. He smiled at the pony figures but moved on instantly. "Maybe a button? Seems silly but... one never knows." he chuckled to himself, using his magic to poke through them. Dissatisfied, he moved on to the gems. "A diamond like one perhaps... or a nice deep red..." he mused, staring intently at the gems.

While still browsing all the shelves for something interesting, he had a feeling that there won't be anything worthy to buy or trade. Most objects to him seemed like they belong in the garden or inside a house. Nothing stood out that could belong on a ship. He looked at brass knobs, dusty antique plates and cups, and even colour coded tacks. "Hrmph! Worthless!" he grumbled under his breath.
At that point there was another voice besides his own and he turned around to see who had made its way into the tiny shack. Not far from the entrance, he saw a tall green stallion with hair as if made from the sea. Treasure Hunter almost thought that the landlubber had a screw loose in his head but all the conversations with himself led him to believe that he was looking for something specific. The way the stallion had lifted objects with his magic instead of having to touch anything amused him quite a lot. After all, he only saw JR being able to do things like this, and he was green too...
Treasure Hunter followed the green stallion closely for a while to listen in on him and what he was saying. The minute the word 'diamond' was mentioned instantly triggered his pirate instincts to make a deal with the lad. Slowly, he crept close enough to whisper at Hyd. "Arrr. Lad. Ye can't find real diamonds in this mouldy shack. If the old geezer told ye these diamonds were real, would ya believe that? How ye know they aren't fake?"

The green unicorn had been so lost in thought, searching through the brightly colored gems that he failed to realize the little colt had come closer. It wasn't until the other seemed to clear his throat, or made some sort of noise he hadn't heard before. "Arrr?" he blinked at first before realization set in. "Of course! The scarf. Fancy yourself a pirate huh?" he chuckled. He had seen another band of pirate ponies running around.. or sailing around. Perhaps this little one was part of the crew.
But for a colt, he had some big words. True words, though he supposed the value of the gem hadn't ever crossed his mind. "Oh... well.. I don't suppose I wouldn't. I was going for color really... a center piece for a very ornate fountain. Ah...." he paused as he blinked, tilting his head and smiling. "Would you happen to know how to tell, or where to find one?" he whispered, leaning in closer. Half of him wanted to think this was a game, but something told him this little colt was quite serious.

"Yarr," he replied to Hyd's 'Arrr?' and gave him a small shove. Not enough to throw the stallion off balance. "I AM a pirate," he shouted out loud. "Once you hear my name you won't be able to forget it!"
A fountain? What was this green stallion talking about? thought TH. "Hmmmm," he went. "I can't tell between what's real and fake. That's why we have Doubloon on our crew. She sees things better than all of us."
The little pirate also leaned forward when Hyd did. "Plenty of those shinies below deck. Jus' not here with me," he whispered back, and showed him an empty saddlebag with just a few bits lying inside one of his pockets.

"Oh? And what is your name?" Hydrangea chuckled. This little foal was high spirited, he could admire that. But when the little one said he couldn't tell what was real or fake, he frowned. If he couldn't tell then what if these were real and the old shop pony had some surprises just laying around for the right pony to stumble upon? Still, he was curious... if this little one did have more ... 'below deck', well what was the harm in looking? "Would you happen to be kind enough to show me said shinies? I am looking for the perfect one after all... oh I'd make it worth your while, somehow." he smiled. "My name is Hydrangea by the way, pleasure to meet you Sir Pirate." he chuckled.

"Name's Treasure Hunter, the one and only," he replied with a serious look. He picked up a fancy looking wine cup with gems on it. "Not good at telling what's real but if you flip this around, some things tell ye where it's made from." He flipped it around to show Hyd. "If you're bad at telling between real and fake like me, best thing ye can do is bargain," and put the cup back down.
The foal looked between the aisles first to make sure that no one was listening in on their conversation. When no one was around and the owner leaving to go to the back, he turned to face Hyd again. "Us pirates don't like having strangers on board. But.. if ye swear ye won't expose us with our secrets, I could show ye what real shinies look like," he whispered in a low voice. "Hydrangea, ye could even find the 'perfect one' and what has got into ye lad? Sir Pirate? I'm not that old. Call me TH, or Hunter."
He pushed the stallion away from the dusty shack and out the door. "Follow me."

Hydrangea had never thought about an item's authenticity before.. he had always thought of its longevity. How long it would stay glimmering on a fountain, or how long before it would fade on a mural. Still, this little one seemed keen on helping him find something perfect for his recent project and the green unicorn had to admit, the thought of a real gem would make it fabulous beyond belief. "Alright, you've convinced me. I wont tell your secrets, I promise, Treasure Hunter." he said and chuckled. "Also no need to push." he gave a wink before trotting himself out towards the door. Once outside he stopped and peered back at the foal. "I suppose its silly to ask, your ship is at the dock, yes?"

His grin widened as he heard the promise. "If ye break it, yer walking the plank!"
Treasure Hunter nodded in response to Hyd's question and started to walk toward the ship's location. "Ye be surprised how beautiful she looks up close," he said and looked back at the stallion to see if he was following him.
"Why is a beautiful gem needed?" he asked. "Is it for somephony special?"

"I wont break a thing, wont even touch it with my hooves." he smiled, following behind the little pirate foal, chuckling at his enthusiasm. "I don't doubt your ship is quite marvelous. Never seen one up close before." he mused to himself as he trailed along, looking out towards the docks to catch a glimpse of it in the distance. When the foal mentioned a special somepony, Hyd's cheeks went red. "Oh n-n-no.. no...I.. just...well maybe.... I didn't really have anyone in mind when I started building this fountain but.... my inspiration may have been...erm.. borrowed by someone..." he added shyly, head down and ears back in an embarrassed expression.

Treasure Hunter kept the grin on his face. "Yar.. No touching is good."
They got closer toward the pier and the Flirty Mermaid came into view. "See tharr yonder? The one beauty with a black flag? There she is." and he picked up his pace and started to trot towards the ship a little faster. Every time he sees their ship he grows more excited and wants to spend forever on it without holding conversations with any phony else as he plays with all the shiny loot below deck. Unless, of course, Doubloon comes flying to shoo him off him and do something else. "Come lad. Let us hurry."
He heard the stuttering in the stallion's voice and knew that he needed a special gem for this occasion. Sometimes, this little colt is too nice for his own good... and he calls himself a pirate... "A fountain?" he asked. It was that word again. Treasure Hunter still wasn't sure what it was but had a hunch that whatever it is, it will be the center of attention somewhere on land.

Hydrangea's eyes glanced up at the ship, widening at the black sail, the tall masts, the front of the ship and all its other terms he hardly knew. He had only seen ships like this in picture books, never up close. "Well I'll be.... " he whispered, picking up his pace to catch up to Treasure Hunter, curious to see what waited below the deck. He almost felt honored to be invited aboard. "breath taking!" he breathed, having momentarily forgotten his dilemma over a perfect centerpiece for his project.

Treasure Hunter reached the dock first and saw that the brow still hasn't been hoisted. The sight of it didn't send him in a panicky state. If someone was stealing, he/she would have been caught and walked the plank by now.
He crossed over the water with ease and scanned the deck to see if anything was out of place. With a shrug, not finding anything unusual, he looked down below and waived at the stallion in a come here motion. "Yo ho ho, come aboard before I change me mind!"

Hydrangea chuckled, stepping aboard after Treasure had called him, admiring the mermaid on the front as he went. The way the little one talked with his heavy pirate accent was quite precious to the green unicorn, if not a little comical. "Indeed sir. I am curious, would your captain approve? Or is it best I collect what we came for and leave?" he said with a playful grin, listening to the sounds of his hooves clipping on the wooden deck of the ship.

Seeing the stallion on deck reminded him of a kelpmonster but he kept that thought to himself.
Treasure Hunter stood near the entrance to go below deck and waited until Hydrangea had finished admiring everything he sets his eyes on. "Arrr, she a beauty," he nodded as he spoke. He too, was very fond of this ship. The new layer of wax on wood shone brightly in the sun. He could even see his own reflection on it.
Again, he heard something out of context. "Stop calling me sir," said the colt. "Our captain is the greatest. As long as you don't steal, no one will get hurt."
