[PRP] The Cheshire Cat and the Dormouse (Carlos and Camilla)

Carlos had figure out a bit of the the school, just a bit. It was huge. There was lots of room to play. He had checked out the grave stones and found a few good spots in the trees to nap. The Creepateria was a little overwhelming. Of course the one place he hadn't actually been was the classes. Why would he bother with that.

Carlos was really looking for a way home, but none was to be found. Going beyond the gate was too scary. He stopped by the gate and floated a bit before climbing up it and sitting on top of it, his tail swishing. Suddenly an odd scent carried along the wind and his ears perked up. What was that? What was that? He surveyed the area.

It smelled familur. Not a family type of familur, but a... yummy type of familur. His nose twitched and beneath his collar his grin widened.

Camilla too was still exploring the vast school campus and currently she was doing so in her natural form sense she was way out along the gate she figured it'd be ok to take off her skullpin and stretch her natural mouse legs a bit so after hiding her skullpin in a little hallow made out of the roots of a tree she set off on four feet instead of two

While a chocolatey brown 2ft tall medium dog sized mouse with a furry tail might not be totally uncommon one wearing a loose lavender purple shirt with medium seafoam green bloomers and white socks might be and Camilla just automatically trusted she'd look unique enough to not be confused with a regular mouse or mouse minipet so even though she smelled cats (and birds and various other things that might eat mice) she wasn't too concerned even as she realized she was getting closer to a cat she seemed totally unfazed and was too busy exploring the fence and what was around it to really care

It was a mouse! Mouse Mouse Mouse! Carlos turned as invisible as he could, which wasn't very much as a first year, but from his perch it might be that the mouse couldn't see him. All logical thought about the possibly of it being another student was thrown out of his head. Who would let a mouse be a student anyway?

His eyes widened and then narrowed as he stared at one spot in particular. The mouse. it was there. the mouse, it hadn't noticed him. His tail started to swish back and forth.

He jumped off of the gate and snuck keeping as low as he could along the top of the fence. He dropped to all fours, still not quiet sure how to manage this strange student form. but it doesn't matter as he picked his way staring. Staring. his illusion hands lifted up, ready. 4 paws and teeth were all ready yes. He would get this mouse. It practically crawled into his mouth... and oh it was huge!

He waited tail flicking for the perfect moment to strike.

Camilla's seemed oblivious to the Cheshire Cat's advance as she continued her search so far her exploration of the fence had yielded some interesting looking bugs, a few lost silver seeds and a egg shaped piece of candy wrapped in brightly colored foil which she didn't eat because she knew better then to eat strange candy in a strange place totally... totally... ok so she wasn't hungry and didn't want to lug it around but ANYWAY!

Suddenly her ears perk at a strange swish sound and she sniffs the air before realizing the cat from before was practically on top of her infact... it was above her! Looking up her eyes widen at the stripes which floated on the fence "Eh?" she says curiously and sits down to just stare at the stripes now while she had personally never met a Cheshire Cat she knew about them and knew that floating stripes in a cat like shape usually meant Cheshire Cats!

She continued to stare while she tried to think up a riddle Cheshire Cats liked riddles didn't they? Completely not realizing said cat was staring at her for a totally different reason

The floating stripes and bits of tail could only be one thing. Few in Halloween had such stripes, and even though his grin was currently hidden by a collar, Carlos would not have even batted an eye at the easy identification.

At the moment, Carlos only had eyes for Camilla. Nothing else entered his field of vision, not even the brightly colored foil. Not even the silver seeds she had picked up. Her cloths didn't even registered as a possibility of her being a student as she clearly was, and not a Mini. Only the oversized delicious looking mouse. She was his whole world.

She spotted him. Now was the time if there ever was one. He launched from his spot aiming down on top of her. "MOUSE!"

*pounce!* he aimed to land on her but feel free to dodge.

She was busy thinking up a riddle when she stopped and froze stock still before shivering a bit she knew she was being stared at and she was staring right back but it finally occured to her WHY she was being stared at as a almost palpable excitement and tension filled the air 'Oh dear...' she thinks briefly before everything practically erupted into action

"Eeeek!" she squeeks in surprise as the sudden motion and shout made her jump then leap out of the way just in time too when she was sure she was clear of the Cheshire Cat's pounce zone she stands up on two feet and waves her paws in front of her "H-hey! Im not food!" she says quickly while backing up and making a very important mental note

Just because your larger then a adverage Dormouse and wearing cloths doesn't mean you don't look like food!

"It's a mouse! It's a mouse! It's a mouse!" He continued his chase, up until she stood up on her hind paws. Wait... He stopped short realizing just how large this mouse was. His ears flipped back as he stared at her noses almost touching. "Not food? Then what is food? Everyone is food. You are FEAR and FEAR is food and I'm a cat and you're a mouse."

He stared at her nose to nose. "Or do you plan to eat me?" He didn't doubt she could try to take a bite, but it would prove unsatisfying. He was more fur and vapor than anything.

Still she looked very much like a mouse. But Minis didn't talk. He knew that much.

She held her breath and waited hoping she wouldn't be dissapated by a hungry cat fortunatly for her he stopped though barely only a nose lengths away "J-just because we're all made of fear doesn't mean we should be eatting other creatures for fear! Theres fear based food for that! Im sure there are better things to eat then mice..." she says tensely "Besides... Im a student here" she says then slowly starts to move around the Cheshire Cat "I'll show you..." she says softly hoping to not stir up his hunting instincts more

Luckily she hadn't wandered too far from her Skullpin so once she was around him and to the tree she reaches into the little hallow and grabs her skullpin as she does theres a large puff of smoke when the smoke clears it reveals Camilla's humaniod form "See? Not food... phew..." she says then sits down near the base of the tree and sighs that was a bit too close...

Carlos watched as the mouse maneuvered around him, getting to her pin. Oh those came off? He could go back to normal? That would have been useful to know.

But clearly this was a student. Very much a student and not food. He deflated laying down on the ground, he had done far too much work today. Hopping and climbing tired him out. Even that little chase had been fruitless.

But now that he had assessed that this was not food, it would only be polite to ask her name.

"What grows big and small,
What has a tail that is quiet tall?
What is a mouse but not food?
What looks like a mini but is not nude?"

She was glad he finally seemed to understand she was a student not food... but seemed sad and a bit worn out after which made her frown however the riddle he spoke made her smile she thought about it for a moment before realizing it was about her! 'Oh he must me asking my name with a riddle' she thinks happily and stands up as her smile brightened "It's Camilla the Dormouse Monster!" she says cheerfully then nods at him "My turn!" she says then tries to remember the riddle she was coming up with before

"What has stripes and can be hard to see?
What sits up high and grins playfully?
What stalks mice with skill and ease?
What tells riddles happily?" she asks excitedly

Im not good at making riddddles! Lol Carlos is going to love hanging with Camilla now that he knows she's not food! Hah hah she'll spoil him rotten with the Tea Party treats often cooks up!

"Carlos the Cheshire cat!" he sang the answer and perked up. His eyes closed and maybe if she peeked beneath the collar she would see a large smile with lots of teeth.

He liked this mouse, she knew a proper introduction. Now that it was done he didn't half to worry about it or riddles anymore, but what to do now? This mouse was no good to eat. But it was a mouse so he didn't really care if she saw him. He didn't need to hide from prey.

He stared at her wondering what exactly to do. She looked interesting. what was she doing before? He didn't ask, he merely stared at the ghoul with a curious look in his eyes.

Ah so she was right! Cheshire Cats or at least his specie of them introduced themselves with riddles! Pleased he liked her riddle she peeks down and under his collar a bit to see the well know Cheshire Cat grin which had her smiling too he was even fully visable now!

Her tail begins swaying happily and she claps her hands behind her back she was glad she might be making a new friend already and she hadn't even been trying to today! She loved exploring and it usually yielded good things for the little curious Dormouse Monster even friends!

Finally after a few moments of being pleased with how the day was turning out she realized she was being stared at again but this time it wasn't that hungry predatory stare from before but a curious one like what she had given others on countless occations it was then she realized she hadn't really said or did anything for a few minutes

Blinking she unclaps her hands and looks for a conversation starter of some sort after a few moments she remembered the stuff she had discovered before and wondered if Carlos like exploring too "Hey! Do you like exploring?" she finally asks in a friendly tone before moving to gather up the silver seeds, a few of the now not happy bugs, and the chocolate egg she had found to show to him "I found these by the fence! You can find all sorts of things when exploring!" she announces cheerfully as she holds her finds out for him to see

He looked the items over, nose pointing at them curious.

"What does it matter going Here and there? Finding things and stuff? what does it matter to a cat whither he lay in this tree or that? A nap is a nap." Still her things were interesting. Silver seeds, those were good, and eggs. hummm.

"Carry me." he mumbled breaking from his riddles. And the Truth was out, Carlos was a most lazy cat. He really just wanted creeple to carry him everywhere. Maybe if he was shaped like a cat he would be. But maybe not by a mouse.

Even so he claimed this mouse as a friend, maybe he would explain that she was a pet, you did not eat a pet after all. It was bad manners to eat a pet, his family would not eat his pet. Besides she wasn't a mini and he had heard somewhere that eating a fellow Halloweener caused you to explode. That sounded unpleasant. So she would be his pet mouse student monster. He liked the sound of that. Maybe she would even carry him around and let him ride on her shoulders or something... maybe not, she wasn't that big. Maybe if he just floated she could drag him around. Or he could be drug along by her tail like some of his siblings sometimes did.

Camilla blinks at his riddle though he did seem interested in what she had found but she was starting to get a sinking feeling which was confirmed when instead of a riddle he just simply said carry me "Hah hah your a lazy one arn't you? Unfortunatly I think we're the same height so I don't think I can carry you in that form" she says playfully and laughs a bit she had heard of lazy cats but never met one till now and she really wasn't expecting a lazy Cheshire Cat!

After a playful shake of her head she released the curious bugs, returned the candy egg where she found it unsure if she really should eat random candy, and handed Carlos the silver seeds "I have plenty so you can have these!" she says happily

Hah hah Camilla is realizing this lol if only she knew Carlos considered her his "pet" XD

The mouse didn't even try to carry him, oh well. He dropped his head down. It was worth a shot. Maybe he could get carried in his natural form. It was a little smaller. But the prospect of seeds distracted him. He created an illusion hand and took the seeds, sniffing them.

"Why did the woman go outdoors with her purse open?
Because she expected some change in the weather." he mewed and then finally floated back to an upright position, only an inch or so off the ground. He could not fly, but he could float lazly after her.

What was that candy? Was it good?

Carlos opened the egg and took a nibble and then a lot. His illusion tossed the whole thing in his mouth.

Chomp chomp.... poof!



He was on all fours again yay! Wait this wasn't quiet right. He turned around a few times.
