"That idiot, Game Master, is on the loose again. If you get caught by him, do me a favor; don't die a pathetic death."

"...Of course, father."

Shun's hand clenched into a fist as he hung up, before tossing the phone off to the side on his bed. It was just like the older reaper to say something like that. If he ended up in a mess, it was less about his own well being, but going through another trial. A test of his strength. It did spur a bit of curiosity with him, however. Just who was that guy? Shaking his head, he looked over at his laptop sitting upon his desk. Game Master.

It sounded vaguely familiar.

Getting on up, he made his way over to his desk, but not before getting some hot water ready to make himself a nice hot cup of tea. He got his headset on, getting the microphone in place while he brought up gruegle, then clicking on the voice search option.

"Game Master."

It seemed to have brought up a few results regarding GM's. Not quite what he was looking for.

"Game Master escape."

He listened carefully to the various hits that came up. Thank Jack for Text to Speech. This seemed to bring up better results than his previous search attempt. It was also stirring a few memories. News and the like years back about some crazy student or something along those lines. He hadn't really paid a whole lot of attention back then. He did also manage to pick up on the guy's real name doing this.

"Parker Freeman."

Newspaper clips. In image format. That was no damn good to him. There were a number of forums and the like too, though he wasn't really interested in listening to what people discussing the man. Shun did manage to find a few related videos, however.

HBC
Parker Freeman sits in the Defendant's table, in shackles. He doesn't appear to be paying attention to the trial going on around him, and is instead staring vaguely ahead, grinning widely. His Attorney attempts several times to make him stop, but he does not. A report's voice over the clip proclaims his disgust for Freeman's character and actions, then makes a few jabs at his upbringing. There were a few vague mentions of reports regarding ties to local mafia as well.

He raised his brow at this. The way this guy grinned was unnerving. The comment regarding the mafia had him wonder if his father had dealt with this clown personally at one time, too. Of course, it was possible the gang mentioned was some other group not really related to his family. There was another video on HBC in the 'related videos' section.

Parker is on the witness stand, still in shackles, and still in a nice suit - apparently this is from the same day as the first clip. The reporter's voice confirms that Prosecutor Jim Gargle is about to question the witness. The camera pans to Gargle - a slime monster in a smart black suit - who speaks loudly and clearly.

"Where were you on the First night of Fifth October?"

The camera pans to Parker, who sits grinning.

"In my room."

"In your room?"

"Yes."

"What were you doing in that room?"

Parker cackles. "I can't repeat that with ladies present, Sir,"

Gargle, apparently caught off guard, frowns and switches tactics. "Who were you with that night?"

Parker, still grinning, looks through the crowd and fixes on someone on the audience. The camera does not show who he is looking at. "That would be ----". The name was bleeped out.

Gargle's next question wasn't clear enough to be heard; Parker's laughter began to fill the court room. The pitch was both haunting and full of mirth; the jury looks horribly uncomfortable as the sound persists.

The clip ends.

It was a continuation of the trial, it seemed. Shun just stared at the screen. Seriously, why the hell was this guy grinning like that? Was his face broken? That was just unnerving. It gave him an odd compulsion that he needed to punch this guy in the face, or something along those lines. That laugh was even worse, too. Yes. This guy could use a good punch in the face. Or perhaps a dagger in the throat. Either would suffice. It also seemed like he was completely mad. Shaking his head, he let out a breath and continued to prod around the interweb, checking out other sights that gruegle had brought up. Another news site. He loaded it up, then sat back, waiting for it to roll out.

Halloween Daily
It is a medley of small clips, each containing school-aged students with their faces blurred. Each and every one of them claim surprise at the events that transpired, but a few of them admit that they 'should have seen it coming' - Parker was always a lone creature, never really made friends but was friendly enough, and was an active member of a gamers club at school...but they always remember him as being very happy.

It seemed he was always grinning, and laughed all the time.

He tilted his head at this one. It didn't seem to really provide much useful information. Lone creature. Shun idly wondered if people expected that he will go on a murderous rampage on the campus or some other nonsense like that. Really. He had no reason to be attacking other students (most of the time... there were always exceptions). Though, he did have to admit that he generally did have a fairly murderous mindset. Shun backed out of that, then clicked on a bootube link next.

This seems to be taken by a hand held device. It's shows an abandoned building, what was one a cathedral perhaps. The camera creature moves forward slowly, the footage shaking with each careful step; eventually they make it to a window, where the faint sounds of screaming can be heard - a masculine voice at first, but as the camera shifts a feminine voice is heard as well, though weaker.

The camera creature curses, and tries to put the camera into the corner of the window to see what was inside.

There are four figures in the room, surrounding what looks like two others on the floor. Blood and gore drench the room, and then---

"Oh ho? What's this? You weren't invited---"

The camera creature screams, the camera is dropped, and the footage cuts out.

**The validity of this clip is unknown. - the author's comment suggests that this is live, actual footage of Game Master's last game.**

Shun stared at the screen, a little unimpressed. This seemed more like the work of an amateur filmmaker than actual 'documented reality'. Perhaps the Game Master had a few fans and were inspired to make short films based on what transpired. Taking note of the video's description, he went on and had the laptop speak out what was written there.

"Che. Right," the reaper mumbled, shaking his head. He was a bit skeptical of it being 'actual' footage, as the author claimed it to be. Anyone can post up a video on the interweb and claim that it's the real deal. For now, he had enough of that. His curiosity was sated for the time being. The main thing he got out of his little research session was that Parker Freeman was a disturbed individual who had a stupid grin and an creepy a** laugh. He could very well be a threat, but he wasn't too much of a concern for the reaper right now. He had other things on his mind. If Freeman became a more direct issue for him... then he'd deal with him accordingly.

Closing out of all the tabs he had opened up in his search, he set aside his headset, then moved back to his bed to meditate.
