{PRP} When Wishes Come True (Pavlov & Zahavah and Babies!)

"Because he's...grumpy?" Pavlov offered weakly. Honestly the way Zah made it sound, yeah - the rabbit might have made a decent nursemaid for the girls. "But he still kicks me sometimes...." he muttered under his breath.

Adalind took no time in helping her sister back to her feet so they could be on their way again.

Akis grinned her thanks at her sister and took off again, rapidly growing steadier and steadier on her hooves.

Satisfied that the girls were fine, despite their tumbles, Zahavah turned more of her attention to her nervous mate. "Of course he kicks you sometimes," she said, amused. "It's a sign of affection. Plus you need a bit of a kick, sometimes, to get you out of your fear pit."

"Hey!" Pavlov said halfheartedly. "I suppose....but he'd better watch them well..." He sighed watching the pair scamper off. He thought his life was full of fear before, but he was starting to sense that maybe a new type of fear had whirled into his life - and he still had no idea how to manage them at all.

Adalind turned and looked back at their parents, "Come on slow pokes!"

Akis giggled at her sister's audacity.

Zahavah grinned and nudged Pavlov. "C'mon," she said, teasingly as she started forward.

"They won't lose me so easily," Pavlov stated with an almost firmness as he followed his mate and the girls.

Upon receiving an approving look from Grimm Adalind continued on and eyed the woods with interest. "Should we?" she asked her sister.

"Yeah!" Akis cheered. She took two steps forward then hesitated, glancing back at their parents uncertainly. "Can we?" she asked, making her eyes wide and pleading.

"Mmm.... stay where we can see you," Zahavah decided, then amended, "where your papa can see you." He had a better vantage point way up there in the clouds, and it would make him feel more secure.

Pavlov bit on his tongue so that he would not ask once more if Zah was Sure about this plan. She was sure of everything she did. but he did crane his neck a little more to keep an eye on the foals as the broached the wood's edge. "They are far too eager to run off into the dark unknown..." he muttered with concern.

Running was truly the last thing on Adalind's mind. Truly she was just getting the hang of walking well at a good clip, but never one to be outdone by her sister or their new rabbit friend, she maintained her pace, occasionally looking back over her shoulder at her parents and yelling back for them to keep up.

Zahavah smiled and picked up her own pace a bit. "They're kids! Kids like to explore. At least, I did when I was their age."

Akis's hoof caught on a rock and she went face first down. "Oomph!"

Pavlov didn't have much time to reflect on his own childhood which was mostly spent running from things it turned out only he could see. He was too busy running to catch up with the girl, "Are you alright?" he asked nuzzling the filly and attempting to help her back up. "You know, the forest will still be here tomorrow? Just in case, I don't know, you start to feel tired or anything..."

Adalind might have felt a little tired as she leaned against her father's shoulders, but she wasn't about to be the first one to admit defeat.

"It'll still be here?" Akis asked, wide eyed as she straightened herself out. She had pushed herself further and faster than she probably should have on her first day of... .well... life. Like her sister, however, she didn't want to admit how tired she was. She stifled a yawn.

Zahavah came up beside her mate and nodded, smiling at the girls. "You can have plenty of adventures... in the morning."
